I only listen regularly to one other commercial podcast, WTF. It is seamless. Granted it is usually an hour or so and only twice a week tops. But it is easy to use.

I listen during work in the morning, and have just resorted to streaming the individual hours from my iphone in Safari. It works, but it isn't convenient at all.

There are services that seemlessly integrate payment processing and protected RSS feeds. My guess is that now that recurring paypal payments have been set up, it could be more of a hassle for Keith to switch everything over to a different setup. Given that there was a two year build up to this, I'm surprised it wasn't thought of before launch.

I do hope that Art and Keith can take constructive criticism well. The RSS is a very important aspect that must be addressed, as folks who use podcasts are accustomed to the automatic download.  Also, the website, IMO, needs to be improved so that it can effectively market Art and DMDN more effectively. Just my opinion, hope egos don't get bruised.

He was good with Norry but, like everyone, will be much better with Art and his questions and ability to not interrupt at inopportune times. Speaking of which wasn't that the show where Dave first came up with some escalator to the top of a volcano and also "big hole at the bottom of the ocean" and other inane ideas (and kept bragging about his new Hawaiian studio?)

I didn't hear that one, I had already stopped listening to C2C by the time of his appearance. He seems to be a credible scientist, so I'm very interested in tonight's show. While I enjoy the paranormal topics, these science shows are my favorites.

I've had no problem simply recording the live stream with an app that allows scheduled recording. I usually listen on SW but want the show for next day if I fall asleep or miss something.  I think as long as I'm not selling it, distributing it, and using it for my own relistening that this is ok. People should still become a "time traveler" or a donor but if the technology isn't working for them, than I suggest this solution. No fuss, no muss, have an mp3 of the show (with ads, news, music, etc.)

I have considered doing just that. But since I listen while driving, it really isn't an answer for me.

nobody is saying there aren't other "solutions" out there.  that's not the point at all.  we get that there are workarounds.

Which app do you use for recording? Someone here said that the Tune in Pro app was not the most reliable.

Just curious, how would you improve the web site.  I just checked it out again.  Do you mean that the news items outweigh the announcements about Art and the new show?

The joke is that "Report to Moderator" goes to an unread email box.

Who do I report this to?

zRadio or Screamer Radio (z allows me to schedule, Screamer record while playing only (at least as far as I can figure.)

I was thinking it was the same guest as well.  I remember several facepalms during that show.  For one thing GN was more interested in Mauna Kea's road than the telescope the road goes to.  Looking forward to him being on with Art tonite.

With that out of the way. Seriously, you would think RSS would be an option, if not THE option for a podcast. RSS is the standard to receive podcast streams/downloads. But what do I know about such IT faggotry? I've only been listening to audioblogs... I mean podcast for almost 2 decades nao. I'm not a paid IT wizard.

Just watched the scariest, most intense damn show ever.  Nuclear Meltdown Disaster on Nova on PBS.  It's almost a minute by minute account of Fukashima.  Excellent

Watching that right now... holy shit, they damn near accidently fucking everything.

Wait, I thought "Report to moderator"  was the name of the site.

You mean it's not?

You're not paid?  Who has been cashing all those checks to Catsmile I write each month?

You can start by looking at the shows that get the most online listeners:

Oh.....thanks.  Very interesting.

the show needs to automatically download to the podcatcher installed on my phone, and i need to be able to hear it by simply pressing play.  that's it.

Bless you good brother.

For those not tech savvy it's not a whiny demand, it's the norm for today's podcast world.

Actually, and MV will be pissed with me for telling you this, but I get all the reports to the moderator. I then go through them and file them in order of importance.

thanks for your under appreciated service. As a former bill collector I can relate to both having detractors as well as having to wade through the BS within the clientele.
