Yeah, it just isn't the same because Whitley isn't Art. From the small number of Dreamland episodes I have heard, it really seemed like Bell enjoyed the heck out of it. The theme is indeed awesome and sort of reminds me of Vangelis as well. Doesn't Whitley still use the theme?

I'm calling it Bella-Haven and asking RoseGirl to stretch hands across the continent and we will have open lines and it's just going to be so exciting! There's even a jingle already!

I have 75 pages of this thread to read, but I must know now - What caused "The Fight?" Is anyone willing to give a two sentence synopsis?

What caused the fight, you ask? .... Me... And that my friends was a prime example of the fine art of trolling. Of course one has to understand, the tension between individuals and wait for an the correct opportunity and hope they'll bite. Seldom works but when it does, its magic.

1. Long ago MV, let it be known, what he thought of Bateman's read a Guest's book and then interview the Guest based on questions from the Book.  MV being a personality type Broadcaster fines Bateman's style lacking... ie tension between the two.

2. Both are, like the rest of us, Fans of Art, and it would be the chance of a life time for either of them to get a chance to be affiliated with Art. But neither can come out and announce openly their desire and risk becoming a fool like Jimmy Church, so they are forced into talking around the issue.
Sending signals that they are available. Mow lawn, picture of WABC studio etc.

3. There's more stuff, little signs of the tension between them. Of course, nothing at all wrong with that. It the human drama, conflict/competition like Art vs Dave etc.
But one day, Art, who always worked alone, picked Ms Redacted. And didn't give a mention to the two guys who really wanted a chance to be affiliated with him. The stage was now set, both had their dreams crushed. One played the, I'm so happy for you card, the other didn't. Brings us to today, stage set to settle the score and make points against each other over Ms Redacted, was she sighted by Bateman. The issues at hand is of no importance, if not about Ms Redacted today, it would of been something else.

4. The Troll, who has been laying traps all over the place, gets a hit on one today and battle is on between MV and Bateman.

5. MV and Bateman and the animals will now start trashing me. Or ignore the ramblings of a trouble soul. Mommy help me.

uhmmm a program director of a independent station would be dumb as fuck not to take this and roll with it.

There is a little ad revenue to be made for terrestrial stations. Terrestrial stations will get 2 min at the top of the hour to run their own ads, and Art will be rotating ALL his ads from the streaming broadcast on a continual basis so that no particular ads will be at the top, which means that MITD advertisers will have their spots covered up once in a while by terrestrial stations. It sucks for MITD advertisers, but it's really the only way to get terrestrial stations with any significant broadcasting range.

Now for redacted, the only time it will work is during open lines or some kind of light hearted show. If I am doing a one on one Interview it just would not work so no need to fuss about it, just something to try and see how it works, new stuff is fun.

That is what?  The third time you have had to post this.  It is as though people are worried that you have no idea how to do good radio.  I'm sure if it is not the fit that you expect that it will be very infrequent.  If it works, that is great as well.

I don't know why we cannot all just wait to hear how it turns out before judging it great or otherwise.

There sure has been a lot of petty bitching lately.  Can I use the word "fag" took up a dozen pages and now another dozen worrying because a couple of people are not sure that it is a good idea to have a co host on occasionally.  I think I will just wait and see how it sounds, the dynamic between the two, and the general mood before I judge.
