No, Art. It is about the use of derogatory terms such as the f-word ending with a g, and it doesn't matter if they are directed at anyone... but that they were being used at all. It makes you look bad by proxy to those who are new to the whole deal. True the Gabcast is separate from your show, but they do include your name in the whole shebang, and you have said there will be two official forums with people guessing this is one of them. I'd venture to say a lot of the people (new and old) showed up last night not only to see you in the chat, but to hear what Noory would say... and the whole thing was not good.

I figure this has just about run it course, but I had not logged on in awhile.  Can you really not type out the word fag?  Do you imagine it to be too hurtful?

If people get too hurt over that, I am guessing that the other, more moderated forum may be a better choice for them.  Art had mentioned that he is glad that there are two choices- and I agree.  If seeing or hearing a word is going to set you off then joining BG may not be the best choice given the posters and the lack of moderation.

Now, with that said, I have enjoyed your posts.  However, worrying on behalf of Art that a word said on a podcast with 200 listeners is going to destroy his comeback is probably not necessary.  If Art is worried, I'm sure he will say so (or, talk privately with Redacted.)

The fact is that coastgab is not a radio show that I would want children nor my mother listening to.  It is not PG rated and, like forum, is not really moderated.  As I understand things, MV has cleaned up the spec sheet, and once Art returns MITD will be all ages friendly.  To demand that the gabcast toe some line because somebody might associate it with MITD seems a little unfair.  Perhaps MV should also clean up the board and edit the bad words to read f-g, f--k, n----r, and c--t and take down the F@lkie thread.  These are not words that reflect well on Art either.  However, most of us understand that this board is not a reflection of Art- MITD will be.
