I just got a chance to hear the last Gab Cast show and I want to make one thing crystal clear, I have NEVER set up anything, NEVER. Of course I am sure I have been pranked many times but I would not ever plan with somebody or anybody to set something up. For one thing I don't need to because it just comes my way. I know people think I planned that stuff out but it ain't so.

As far as I'm concerned, not that I have any hold or worth on it, you should be the first open-line (or appropriately named line) caller. The calls with you from payphone (and random people to verify) after the show with some "doctor" about Atlantis/Mt.Shasta was epic. (Forget her name right now but she was good also, and Art's handling of her.) Maybe best show ever, or at least to show new listeners how Art handled a nutty, but interesting guest, and then a nutty, but interesting caller(s). Use your phone juju and get in as first caller to new show. And, Keep On Fidgeting.

I understand, I think it was a set up but who knows, at the time I thought it was real. That's the beauty of live Radio, you never know for sure. It's also why I will be doing a lot of open lines if we have a big enough listener pool. I have no idea how many people will show up, what a hoot!

That's the one thing about what we are about to do, I have NO clue how it will go but the Studio is really awesome and it's gonna be fun. Maybe I will invite Redacted to co-host some night, she has a very clear voice, bet you guy's would get a kick out of that.

Just today I played the clip for a friend of the guy who flew over Area 51.  At the end of the clip, you clearly say, "Well, I'm not sure what we just heard..."  We took that ride along with you & knew as much as you did.  The sirens we hear in the background were not ambulance or police.  I heard that call when it happened on the air, and it was unprecedented pure radio joy.  Has anyone ever done such a thing since?  No.

You've put so much into your new studio, I bet you can't wait to fire up the equipment & take us all for a ride once again.  It would be a great privilege to learn how all of the equipment works to create the magic that Midnight In The Desert will be.  Maybe?  That 'maybe' is an incredible honor, Art.  Excuse me while I kiss the sky.

What kind of headset do you suggest I get?

It really seems like you may be enjoying this round more than the others.  The "first round" was great- but I would bet it was beyond stressful getting affiliates and building it up not knowing what was coming next.  XM seemed like you were having fun, but still not "master of your domain."

I may be off (as I know there is still stress doing something completely new), but it certainly seems like you are just letting go and doing it strictly for the enjoyment (profits, hopefully to follow...)

I'm looking forward to "radio" hosted by somebody who is there because he wants to be rather than because his corporate masters give him a bonus at the end of the year.

***Edit- in light of the above post, I would just like to state for the record that I am happy the official kick off date is coming and that the studio is complete.
