For what it's worth I have cameras all over the place, pan/tilt at that. I believe in Security and the hardware to back it up.

I really love the fact that I will have two Skype connections to the board. To many times the U.S and Canada keep it so busy that the rest of the World has a tough time getting through.

I may do a night of pure open lines just to test everything out before the first official show.

Art

You badass.  Can't wait.

What do you recommend, shortwave-wise?  C. Crane?

Yes, perfect:)
You could listen with Erich von Däniken! Look him up at the "Mystery Park". Oh, apparently that venture has failed and under new ownership and now called Jungfrau Park, I think! I can't believe anyone, even a full time resident, would go into some half-assed alien park if they were anywhere near Interlaken! Go friggin hike or ski.

I hope Art can have John Lear back as one of his guests early on on the new show.
John Lear has been a guest on a couple of the other DMRN shows recently.

His current wife was an actress in the 1960s, appearing on some of the Beach Party movies and some TV shows:

https://beachmovies.wordpress.com/2015/01/30/lorie-summers/

In 2000, Marilee Lear had been a resident of Las Vegas for 25 years, running a casting business and film and TV studios (Las Vegas Sun):
Lear runs a casting service and produces a twice-a-year publication called the Nevada Players Directory, a photo album of of Nevada actors and actresses who will appear in films, as models and as stuntpeople… Lear herself had roles in the film version of “Bye Bye Birdie” and television’s “The Real McCoys” and “The Beverly Hillbillies,” under the name Marilee Summers.

Her husband is John Lear:
JOHN LEAR, of full age, being duly sworn, deposes and says:
I am 65 years of age, a retired airline captain and former CIA pilot… I am the son of Learjet inventor, Bill Lear… I flew secret missions for the CIA in Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa between 1967 and 1983… I hold 17 world records including Speed Around the World in a Lear Jet Model 24 set in 1966… I have 4 daughters, 3 grandchildren and live with my wife of 37 years, Las Vegas business woman Marilee Lear in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ask John about his appearance in an episode of the 60's Batman TV series.

You'll have to look it up in the manual, but that might be 'crossing the streams'.  Maybe there's a stream expert here that can clarify.

Technically, the rule is that the caller should say "Andy from Australia" since he was the last one to destroy Art's show.

QuoteQ. Can I call into the show on Skype?

A. Yes, Art will have 2 Skype computers running, one for North America (US/Canada/Mexico) and one for International callers. Please have a properly operating headset microphone, as using just your laptop internal mic will make you sound awful.

I can't help but to think that this is a slight on my last performance on The GabCast.  ;D

Perhaps you haven't heard, buuuut John Lear has been removed from Wikipedia because they don't think he is worthy, important, or significant enough to be listed in their publication......Wikipedia: Articles for deletion/John Lear  :o ???

***He's been demoted. That's exactly what happened to Pluto.. >:(

FAQ from Artbell.com

Quote from: ArtBell.com
Q. Can I listen via a podcast?

A. If you join the membership subscription for the show, you’ll have access to old shows, you can play them on your computer and smartphone/tablet device. Whether it will be a complete downloaded MP3 is still yet to be determined.

Is this current information ?
It was my understanding that Art already stated there will be mp3 podcasts available for download with a monthly subscription.

Great news! Keep us updated once we can pay and sign up. I, for one, would also love to (once a member) have mp3 download option: for re-listening when out and about and not on WiFi or using data, but understand fears of piracy. Maybe mp3 download some time after the live and repeat stream? Or imbedded commercials into the mp3 archive (if people are going to pirate, at least sponsors might get a customer?) Love the SW option also!
I can't wait for the new show!!!

It could be a stream with the music intact versus a downloadable version without the music.

I'd pay more to have both available.

Thanks for the FAQ's, Art.  These are much, much better than the 3x5 FAQ cards Dave uses every night.
