In fact I always start the show with news and if it's really interesting we talk about it, if the same old boring crap then why waste the time?

It's a fair question, I did do a Political show for a few Years long ago, BUT the reason I changed is because I got sick of the same old thing night after night so despite what my Boss wanted I changed it up and have never looked back.

It was interesting to hear the gradual transition in the mid 1990s.
Early in the 90s the open lines callers tended to be guys like Charlie Liberal, Doc Democrat, etc.
As paranormal topics and guests became more common, they disappeared and we got callers like Mel (with the deep  hole) instead.

I feel sorry for the people who are growing up with Dave now... we were lucky and had Art. Now I don't agree with everything Art says... but dam if I don't like how he says it. The man could read a cereal box for an hour and I'd love it. Something about the voice.

Aah yes "Somewhere in Time" betcha those nice people idolized in that movie never used the F-word.
If had a time machine, I'd go there to hang out and the idolized time portrayed in the movie "Some Like It Hot" of 1920s Palm Beach FL.
