A SALUTE TO CATS, THE LOVE/HATE RELATIONSHIP!

The humid jungle of the Pacific Coast of Central Mexico smothered us with its breath. The stakes were high and so was I. My two companions and fellow spiritual mercenaries, El Lobo and Tucson Fred, were charged with delivering "El Antidoto" to the little chillrunz of the central villages before the rains came. Once begun, the deluge-like torrent would raise the rivers and effectively block our efforts to provide the badly needed vaccines which would cure the lazy eye and restless leg syndromes which had plagued the people since the arrival of the evil  and mysterious "government vaccines" weeks previously.

Through days and nights of foot and burro travel we journeyed, with no food and only the jungle streams for our hydration. We did have the substantial advantage of traveling with a gourd full of special cactus powder which our elders had prepared especially for this mission- to strengthen us they said, and to keep the spirits on our side. Little did we know that it would turn out to have powerfully stimulating hallucinogenic and aphrodisiacal effects, but that is another story...

Anyhoo, so we're like walking into our third night on the smallest of jungle burro cart paths when we hear the low rumble of an internal combustion engine and see the headlights of a brightly decorated Mexican "combie " taxi van approaching from behind.  "Senores kwhere juu going to, me geeve juu rride?", the old driver smiled as he asked. We're all like hell yeah dude and start loading up. As we do I notice the name plaque above the front window- "La Luz". The dude's bus is named The Light... Remembering Arts' admonishment to "Not go into the light!", I leapt away from the vehicle but before I could yell out to warn my amigos, the evil old man sped off with them and they were never seen or heard from again.

I eventually made it to the interior villages just in advance of the rains and the tribe was saved. I thank Art for that.

You have quite a way with words. Please continue the saga. I cant wait for Episode 3!

I was wondering who the other person was who doesn't have a facebook account.

Facebook is a pain in the ass.  Bah, humbug.

The count is up to $34,920.

Enough to cover Art's increased costs in caffeine, nicotine and 'stache trimming.  All three must return.

Though, in the interests of keeping Art alive, Aldous might want to provide his special non-nicotine cigarettes.

For sure, for sure, but this stuff happened before 9/11, in the 'good old days' of classic Art. And he had no problem entertaining OKC conspiracies (which, now of course doesn't compare, but AT THE TIME was pretty damn shocking and still tragic.) Not that he believed but would take callers, or even guests. (He would also fight back against them, unlike some hosts cough-cough.)
ps: I love Art, don't get me wrong, just wondering about the origins of Bill Cooper, Alex Jones feuds or bans.

There may be more to it, the 9/11 thing stood out in my mind.  You're right though, now that you bring that up... I don't recall Art ever having a problem discussing other conspiracies but that one.

I'm not liking any comparisons to John B Wells.

I'm happy that this site didn't get hijacked again.

It's also a bonus that Art and Keith are still happily married.  ;)

I used to think Facebook was only for 14 yo girls. Last year I found on Facebook, a guy I went to grade school with, ( I'm 56), actually found his sister, she put us in touch. Contact lasted all of 3 emails, as our politics couldn't be further apart.
He wanted nothing to do with someone who is not a liberal.

I probably shouldn't be bringing this up but I wonder what the political weighings are on this board.  Art I think is fairly libertarian leaning, and I'm guessing so are many or most of the gabbers. Just a guess tho. Boy, have I been wrong at times about guessing folks politics.

I'll go ahead and report myself now.

Go to the Politics section. That will a) give you an idea of what the political leanings are of some members, and b) likely make you bang your head against your keyboard after reading many of the posts (from either side of the right/left spectrum).

I just listened to the latest GabCast and was surprised and thrilled that Keith called in. Very classy and definitely scored back some points with Art fans. The hosts asked all the right questions and Keith was very honest in his answers. I can't wait to get this show on the road.

Art Bell Responds to 9-11 Outrage
by Victor Thorn - June 18, 2004

On the morning of Sunday, June 13, 2004, syndicated radio talk show host Art Bell betrayed, slapped in the face, and turned his back on every 9-11 researcher in this country (and the world). He did so by embarking on a venom-filled tirade where he called these truth-seekers “asinine,” “reprehensible,” “horrendous,” and declared that they “didn’t have a shred of proof” to substantiate their claims. Bell also made it known that he “couldn’t believe elected officials would choose to kill thousands of its own citizens.” Now, this isn’t simply ‘entertainment’ as some have suggested. Rather, it is a direct attempt to influence millions of listeners and lead them in a direction that is contrary to some extremely well-researched evidence, and this is something I take very seriously.

The following day on WING TV we relayed these exact quotes, and the response from the 9-11 community, along with many others, was so overwhelming that it crashed our server. In addition, we received more feedback from this show than any other we have ever broadcast. The reaction was unanimous on every front: Art Bell is a phony, a sell-out, and a disinformation agent.

The following are a sampling of the responses that we received:

Viewer: Finally, somebody points out the obvious about Art Bell. He is a phony!!!! I think he was from the beginning. Bill Cooper wrote some interesting stuff about him too … worth a read …

It morphed. Maybe there is a lesson in there for humanity as a whole

It turns out a bad RAID card was the reason the server was down for so long last night.

And this is yet another reason I'm okay with not being an ISP ever again...

Whatever floats your boat ... read only those things that you like and agree with...and nothing else, then you'll be okay...
