I agree, chefist - I have managed both small and large teams at a large healthcare company for many, many years.  One thing that you learn is that no one in an organization is irreplaceable.  It may require others to step up and take on responsibilities they are not as comfortable with, or longer to "figure something out" or even offer others the opportunity to shine.

If Art wants this to proceed, someone or some individuals with the right skill sets can be found.

Absolutely...where there's a will there is way...but I just don't know how strong the will is...:-)  Even though science and chemistry are my passion, I still love the business side of the business.  You can't manage your own enterprise by just being a highly talented employee, you must manage all aspects of it.  You build the right team with the right skills, monitor the metrics and lead! If you are not prepared to manage and be the leader, then it is better to just get a well paid position at an already established company. :-)

I've been browsing the web enthusiastically for decades, I'm officially declaring my intention to replace Keith Rowland. I can install Wordpress, deploy themes, and manage a VPS. I like taking pictures too, talking about food, and can even send MV mean tweets when it's required. I'm not above mailing Joorch a box of pizza rolls to you know, send a message.

I think it's all just that "oh my god this just happened" panic.  It happens to me all the time where I panic, think the worst, and then the best happens.  There's a billion ways around this situation and none of them end in just quitting.  Art has a huge community backing him up and like I said before I'm sure someone here or on Facebook, etc either has skills or knows someone who does.  Hope is never lost!

Given all the history of Art's capricious career, it really is not that surprising.  :-) What will be, will be!

Agreed, or at least compromise, talk about how the business relationship is if there is a boss or a partnership.  I'm sure we don't know the FULL story but still...just sucks this is happening just a little over a month to the projected start date of the program.

That all depends on how much or even if the dude's being paid. If the whole operation has essentially gone to shit now that one guy's out of the picture, he was probably more a partner than a hired goon. Makes total sense to bail on the project if you're doing the bulk of the work and feeling short-changed. Who gives a shit if it's Art Bell? I don't apologize when I'm ordered to do it unless I'm legitimately sorry.

                                               Announcement

I am sorry to announce that Keith Rowland has informed me tonight that he no
longer wants to move forward (he quit). This follows a conversation I had with him in
which I asked him to not snap at people. I was concerned because he was in charge of
the Business side of the deal which is a lot of work and involves dealing with people.
Business is built on relationships. He said the stress of all this was to much for him
which is understandable because there is a great deal to do on his side. He further told
me that he will turn his Network over to somebody else. All this was as much a shock
to me as I am sure it is to you.

As a result of this, it is less likely that I will move forward because I can not handle both
The Talk Host part of the job as well as the Music License matters, the Streaming deals
that have to be made, the Website, the Producer he had lined up and much more.

Since I have already bought all the Studio gear I will go ahead and build the Studio with
the hope of finding a way forward. This is not me saying I quit, it is me saying that right
now I don’t see a way to get it all done. If  I can find a way, I will do so, but this is kind
of a stopper for the moment. I will keep you all informed.
