There seems to be a faction war between 3 and NV. I choose 3.

NV, writing team is vastly superior, and a lot of the old team that developed Fallout 1 and 2 worked on it. They GET the source material. But anyway, too off-topic now!

I could be wrong but I believe I read a post somewhere Art believes many of the members of BellGab to be vaguely trustable.  ::)
Proceed with caution, Art!

I choose NV. The Metro tunnels in 3 were the reason I couldn't finish it.

Part 3 was a fun adventure game--like a Fallout-theme park ride, but New Vegas brought the franchise back to its roots with fully fleshed out characters, factions, story, a believable setting, etc.

Amazing what Obsidian accomplished with the mere thirteen months allotted to them, even though Caesar's Legion ended up with the shit end of the stick unfortunately.

True to Caesar, baby.

Sorry--have loved me some Fallout since being introduced to the first two games in my college days. Back on topic...

3 for me too,  the atmosphere and exploration trumped NV.

I haven't finished NV yet, got really far along and my interest just waned, which doesn't happen often. I'm going to run through them both again soon.

You're a-ok in my book. Play Fallout 2 next!

<3. Been sitting in my GOG account forever now, really need to get to it.  With Witcher 3 out soon and Pillars of Eternity, my backlog is ridiculous.

There is no topic here. Let's post inspirational Jaden Smith quotes next.

Exactly, obviously the comeback to the roots came together with the comeback of the people who were originally involved in the Fallout world. Also New Vegas plotline was heavily influenced by the sadly unreleased Van Buren developed as the original sequel to Fallout 2

That's right, they incorporated a lot of elements from VB--Legion, the Burned Man, the war between NCR and the Brotherhood, etc.

So it sounds like Keith was way over his head with this project to begin with, and the fact that Art told him to stop being an asshole finally made him crack.

Poor Keith. The fact that the world evolved and no longer relies on straight hand-coded non-mobile responsive websites was too much for him.

I'm kind of with Keith on this one. Watching him register an account and apologize for some dig he made on Twitter to a bunch of people who frequently and gleefully express disdain for him, just because he was ordered to do so, I thought to myself, "Damnit buddy, don't do it."

We can say what we want about Keith --  lackluster design aesthetic, not good with people, probably not equipped to handle some of the tasks he's been given -- but the dude was probably doing the work of ten people, probably not being compensated for most of it, frequently mocked and derided on message boards and podcasts, and all for the honor and privilege of being some famous guy's webmaster.

So he's an asshole. We're all assholes. I don't blame the guy one bit.

I own and run a medium sized manufacturing company with over 100 employees.  Last year I lost my production manager in a car accident, lost her backup 3 months later to a career change, had my very "trusted" HR manager leave because of a death in the family...and so on and so on...However, the business is more important than any one person, including myself.  It will go on, it will continue...I found qualified replacements, and was more motivated than ever to keep the company healthy and strong.  If Art REALLY, and I mean REALLY wants to start and own his own company from the ground up, he will! If not, he won't...I hope he does of course, but it is as simple as that.  In my opinion...:-)

                                               Announcement

I am sorry to announce that Keith Rowland has informed me tonight that he no
longer wants to move forward (he quit). This follows a conversation I had with him in
which I asked him to not snap at people. I was concerned because he was in charge of
the Business side of the deal which is a lot of work and involves dealing with people.
Business is built on relationships. He said the stress of all this was to much for him
which is understandable because there is a great deal to do on his side. He further told
me that he will turn his Network over to somebody else. All this was as much a shock
to me as I am sure it is to you.

As a result of this, it is less likely that I will move forward because I can not handle both
The Talk Host part of the job as well as the Music License matters, the Streaming deals
that have to be made, the Website, the Producer he had lined up and much more.

Since I have already bought all the Studio gear I will go ahead and build the Studio with
the hope of finding a way forward. This is not me saying I quit, it is me saying that right
now I don’t see a way to get it all done. If  I can find a way, I will do so, but this is kind
of a stopper for the moment. I will keep you all informed.

Art

I get it,dealing with people sucks, but you don't need Keith to make it happen.

Just talk into a mic, we'll listen.

I think Dave is using some black magic juju mojo to first derail Bellgab and now Art's show.

I think we need to call Dr. Strange

Well, bad things have been happening here in the past week. Dave did mention war (but backed off).

Something strange is going on. Just sayin'.

The network was nothing more than a bunch of podcasts aggregated into a live stream, with a few live shows sprinkled in.  It might have worked when MITD became a part it, now we'll never know.

I agree, chefist - I have managed both small and large teams at a large healthcare company for many, many years.  One thing that you learn is that no one in an organization is irreplaceable.  It may require others to step up and take on responsibilities they are not as comfortable with, or longer to "figure something out" or even offer others the opportunity to shine.

If Art wants this to proceed, someone or some individuals with the right skill sets can be found.

On C2C just now Noory said that a cop would be justified in shooting someone in the back if they believed that person was about to set fire to a building.  Even his racist cop-defending guest couldn't agree with that logic.

Noory is a bloodthirsty comicbook supervillain.  Paying off Jimmy Olsen to prevent Superman from starting a competing show would be child's play to Dave.

Yikes, that along with his bullshit about taking out ISIS Rambo style and/or nuking the Middle East makes me wonder about his mental faculties. He said some other stupid stuff when talking to an ex-cop after the whole deal in Ferguson too after going as far as pretending he was going to go there.

Try a day. I can't believe this last bombshell. It's getting to the point where I am scared of going to this site for fear of some fresh disaster. Apart from Art leaving Pahrump and going to San Francisco to shack up with Falkie, I can't imagine things getting more dire or bizarre.

To hell with this, let's start our own damn show.  Call it the Bellgab Carnival of Fear and Loathing and we all take turns guest hosting.
