I think I recall all of us liking Midnight in the Desert.. 
The song accompanying it would set a great atmosphere, as well..
However I always like Crystal Gayle playing the show out instead of in.

I think the Art Bell show is perfect..
Name recognition.. the signal to the world "I'm back."

Maybe even more, instead of somewhere in time "Right Now baby"

show should be? It can be anything from Dark Matter to The Art Bell show to New and Shiny Things. I am up

DARK MATTER is one of the most overused titles in media.  Don Ecker, George Noory, Syfy... it's been done.  Way too generic a title for a show hosted by Art Bell.

Not that COAST TO COAST wasn't a generic title... but it was more charming.

-Mr.Fidget or a trucker, any trucker as long as he can prove it by pulling the horn!

As for guests:
-James O'Kon about the new LOST CITY that was found in Honduras (he was on C2C last night so it would show iHeartMedia, Inc how to do a real show with some questions and depth about a cool subject. And poach them. haha.) But Lost Cities and legends of the past and the like are always fascinating.
but seriously:

-Dan Aykroyd: star power (draw even more attention to the new show) and can talk everything from UFOs, Hollywood, Blues music, Belushi, paranormal and if his dad comes on also spiritualism.

-Trevor Paglan: interesting open-source stuff he does to find black CIA, and other agency, sites around the world. And also the esoteric badges the various secret agencies use. Brilliant and fun stuff.

-Captain Crunch: (you've had him before, so like a reunion.) He is not doing that well but an original phreaker and hacker with interesting and fun stories- plus can update on the latest goings on.

-LMH. I know, but I like her and she is a link to the past that is still going strong, like Art. Even if just for an update.

-Edward Snowden (be a real coup but it isn't like you aren't already on "their radar" due to guest and old open-lines.)

-any of the Ripkens (ideally Cal Ripken Jr) talk baseball stories but also the bizarre, unsolved kidnapping of their mom Vi (which is still an open-case and very bizarre.)

-any of the old guest for at least a show (maybe not opening show) that have "disappeared"):
MadMan Markum, Kathleen Keating, Mel, Dallas Thompson, Jan Lamprecht

As for name: Midnight in the Desert is my vote!

IF it's terrestrial, and IF it's Cumulus (which I still strongly doubt) then they won't announce until the very last minute. It would mean Art's taking over the Red Eye slot. It wouldn't make sense to give these clowns a heads up almost 5 months in advance that their services will no longer be needed.

Red Eye was a decent program when Doug McIntyre hosted it. Then Cumulus bought the show and stole the name for their stupid trucking show.

That is amazing to hear Art, that is great.
The Midnight in the Desert idea is good.. But I again, I think just the ART BELL show signifies the simplicity and truth of your return..

Art can I ask something, I think you said you planned a Monday through Friday show.
Will there be any plans to extend it to a weekend.

I think this room wouldn't mind hearing a certain Knapp--although there may be way too many problems making that happen

The idea that Art signs in at Midnight and signs off at Midnight is a delicious of an idea for radio. I think it is something that listeners in other countries could respect, but it certainly doesn't relate to them. It could alienate them.
