Is it on yet?

Rule #1 of being a fantastic BS artist story teller:
DON'T GO TOO FAR AND LOSE YOUR CREDIBILITY.
It takes all the fun out of it.  For the audience.
And take calls - leave enough rope for an on the ball caller to run with it even a little more.

I realize that, and I don't mind being entertained.  In fact, I like it.  That's the sole reason I listen.  But these guys always start out being as believable as they can and then that little spark of fame gets the best of them and before you know it a psychic seal riddled with tumors crawls out of Mel's hole.  And then the Nazi time travelers show up and Johnathan Reed can blink back and forth from here the the Pleiades with a special bracelet.  Why do they always have to go off the deep end of the deep end?!

This.

I loved Mel's first telling of the Mel's Hole story. The next telling and sequel just went a light year too far.

i've had enough of the PT Barnum hucksters.  i'd like to see and hear from the real deal.  if there is such a beast.  i'm hoping Art will upgrade his guests in following weeks

Dude did you listen to Art Bell on C2C?  everyother guests is a huckster. Its entertainment. If your looking for the "the truth" buy listening to a late night talk show about the paranormal, your barking up the wrong tree.

I guess there might be the occasional less kooky guest who will be on like GIS, who you might find entertaining. I suggest you do what I did and tried to find reputable guest and email their information to Paul Bowman. I have gotten some real positive feedback from him. Just make sure you include their contact information.

TMZ pre dark matter is awful there is no carry over between shows.

Here he is on Mexican TV pretending to be able to teleport himself to the mothership with the assistance of a cute little armband that he presumably took off the dead alien corpse.

Link Artifact Teleportation 100% Real - Dr Jonathan Reed

Anyone who believes that this is "100% Real" should have their head examined.
I think it's cool how the makers of the video found a film crew that could...that would....follow Dr. Reed at least part way into his teleportation like that. So cool. And so, so....believable. Oh. Where did they find the tv crew after they decided they didn't want to the mothership or the Pleiades or wherever Dr. Reed disappeared so convincingly to? The moon? Downtown Tijuana?

Art has to call this fool out.  The guy that 'hosted' the show Fact Or Faked did as much.  He told Reed to his face that he was lying and that his story was all bull.

I get that Art wants the listener to make up their own minds but come on this guy is an obvious fraud.  FFS.

kingotnw

Omg!! Pizza rolls!!! Rofl!! That was awesome!!!  Someone just asked if the alien stole any of his pizza rolls and art knew what it meant!!!  :-D

From what I've noticed, the internet player feed is about 4 whole minutes behind the feed you would get from the physical radio. I've noticed that in the live discussion threads someone will reference something from the show but I don't hear it for another few minutes.

That TMZ show is brutal. There are few things in this world I care less about than celebrity/Hollywood gossip.

That makes sense. Still, I like to log in two or three minutes before the show starts to be on the safe side. ;) I will make sure to avoid the live thread since I don't want to see any spoilers. I listen to the reruns (except for Monday).

You can't get away from celebrity gossip, even on mainstream news shows. They cover Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus more than Bashar Assad, and you would think that Lindsay Lohan is the unofficial American queen. Don't get me started on the K. clan. They're as ubiquitous as crabgrass.

The SiriusXM music stations are actually pretty good! So uh, thanks for getting me to subscribe to pay radio, Mr. Bell.

Last night during the Jonathon Reed interview Art mentioned the "Art's Parts" he has had in his possession since the 1990s when a listener sent him fragments from the Roswell crash his grandfather had saved as he was part of the army recovery team.
Art mentioned Linda Howe had some analyzed and that she would be a guest on Dark Matter soon to discuss it further!

Yeah, I caught that too.  Now that will feel like time travel when Linda Moulton Howe shows up!  I love her, she always sounds like she's in the middle of a panic attack.  Gotta appreciate that much energy.

Ok, we know Art reads here, as well as posts sometimes.

I don't think he listened to George Noory much, yet he's familiar with the Pizza Roll story.  And his complaints about George were the same ones we have - phones it in, lazy, doesn't sound like he's listening, asking questions that had just been answered , interrupting with complete non sequiturs, shit topics, etc.

(Not that George's failures are difficult to pick up on and articulate if one listens over a period of time, but it does take at least a little time to notice all that stuff, and that it's in every show).

My guess is Art didn't have to listen to George much to notice the Suckage because he knew what to listen for by reading here.

I wonder if the regular guests read here as well.  Like Whiny Whitley and Richard C Horseshit.  I sure hope so.

I like her too.  She actually goes out and investigates instead of just making shit up.

I'm fascinated by Gobekli Tepe, and she's been there.  I'm certain Art would do a much better interview on that than Lazy George Dumbass did.

I love LMH, she's awesome. Brings me back to Dreamland.

Is Whitley still doing dreamland btw?

I wish that George Knapp would take over Dreamland and bring it to xm for Art's weekends off.

I have always defended Linda Howe, I think she's great and to be honest, if she was younger and fitter, would make a great host on coast. She 'gets it' more than  anything besides Art ..
I hope she is not locked in a non compete clause but I fear she is, forever having to put up with Noory asking moronic questions and playing cruel jokes on her..

Lindy would be great with Gobekli Tepe. But not someone like "Dr. Jonathan Reed", because Gobekli Tepe is, uh, you know....real.

It is a truly amazing place. That complex was begun, with massive T-shaped pillars somehow cut out of the naked rock (with what? A stone ax?), dragged over to a prepared socket (dragged how?! By lines of prehistoric men lashed to long ropes - of what?! Hair?! - and somehow set upright and levered (with what? A tree trunk found hundreds of miles away in the nearest forest?!) into the socket. And the sockets were cut so as to make a ring or circle. much like Stonehenge, which Gobekli Tepe predates by 7000 YEARS!! Then the floors were leveled and finished. Some floors were tiled! Some rooms were plastered! And painted! And a channel was cut into the floor of some rooms, and human and animal blood eas found in some rooms. Oh, and at the time they originally cut out all these pillars - did I mention that they were as big as 20 effing tons, and that one that hadn't been lifted out of the ground yet was 50 tons? - they also left rock from which to carve reliefs of about 50 different kinds of animals: foxes, wild boars, wild asses, gazelles, cranes, snakes, aurochs, crane and wild sheep, crocodiles, lions. Even some of the huge pillars were dressed with loincloths, or given arms, to approximate a stylized human or perhaps a god.

I just can't think about it any more, it makes my brain hurt. At a time 7500 years before the Egyptians even got the idea to build a pyramid, the Gobekli Tepe-ans(?) something made a bunch of bands of hunter-gatherers stop at this place and work together to spend their lives cutting stone from rock - without tools other than rock they could fashion. They hadn't even begun farming yet. It truly makes my brain hurt.

I had always thought that the Egyptian pyramids, the Great Sphinx, Stonehenge and the massive, unmovable megaliths of Baalbek were the greatest mysteries of man's construction projects. When? How? Why? But Gobekli Tepe dwarfs them in mystery. It almost frightens with how unexpected it is. How did they do it?

Since the major discoveries about GT have come, IIRC, after Art left C2C, I don't think he's done more than perhaps mention the site. I wish Art would  devote a show to it. I'll write and suggest.

Ok I think three full shows is a long enough time to give a fair assessment of how art is.

Guys as gals. This is CLASSIC ART, broadcasting four nights a week with five minutes of commercials. Even if you haven't liked the past two nights guests, there is no denying that Art is back, having fun, and kicking ass. Art has gotten consistently better and more comfortable with say show, like he talked about how he was still getting his studo set up just right and he loves his studio.

A freewheeling Art Bell, with next to no commercials, having fun, this is better than I could have ever imagined!!!!

Ok about tonight, Art and RCH have such a see history together and most definitely a radio chemistry. I am BEYOND excited for tonight. Sure I don really believe RCH at all but he can spin some fantastic bullshit yarns and I expect some fantastic fun tonight

Why would she have a non compete clause?  I don't think she has a contract with coast. Shes just a guest. The old "science adviser to coast" is still going to be on Art Bell, so why couldn't LMH be on Art's show? She is a great investigator. Would be fun to hear her on DM.

I think it's more than being a guest, as it appears she does exclusive reports for Coast..
I will try to investigate further

George "fired her" during April fools a few years ago.

Linda, we have to let you go

She ought to take him up on it.  "Ok bye, moron".

Someone should send her an email and ask her if she plans on being on Art's show.

I just sent her an email. Will let you know if she replies back.

Last night, Art said LMH would be on to talk about something (forgot what that something is).
