I think he may have gotten tired, as did most of the sane people here with the endless trolling over and over by certain individuals. Trolls can't exist without feeding, but at one point it seemed the trolls were feeding each other...

Where would we be without you, sir? I imagine you keep plenty of fumigants lying around the house - I expect the smell of cats gets rather overpowering at times. It's not actually a crime to have another opinion, you know? I notice that the forum Nazis are also the ones with the least to say. If you spent less time on your Sunday school moralising, and more time coming up with something actually worth reading then perhaps you'd feel less need to berate other people. If we kept to your template then this place would be like all those other Art Bell fan sites that have popped up like soap bubbles over the last few months - run by lonely old women whose only joy is getting a shout-out from the great man.

I imagine your ideal would be a forum where nobody posts at all. Great job! Lots of posts saying "great show, Art!". "You da man, Art!". And how long is that sort of thing going to last before people go off and do something more interesting - like eating their own toenails? We've known him for quite a while, and find a certain charm in the website. I'm glad he's sticking to his guns, design-wise. Also, he probably doesn't care that much.

Seriously, I'm confused about the use of the word "troll" here.  My understanding of the term has always been that of someone who posts simply to fire up/piss off others, hoping for crazed responses.  While I would agree there have been some here over the years who've taken great joy in yanking folks' chains (like Jackstar, for example), I don't think those who've questioned Art's claims/actions of late are doing so to piss anyone off.  I think they are voicing questions/opinions they honestly and sincerely believe.  Do we have to agree with them?  No.  Because we disagree with others, particularly on a "hot button" topic, do we have to accuse them of some conspiratory action to piss off the locals?  I really don't get that. 

Mind you, I've gotten into some knock-down, drag-outs on here (including taking some very unpopular positions relative to Art's actions to bail on DM and Roswell) but not once have I ever taken a position/made a post simply to piss people off.  Why would I assume others, especially posters who are clearly intelligent and support their positions well, would do so just because they espouse an opinion that is bound to be unpopular?

Perhaps this all came about not from the, "I disliked this episode of MITD", or "That guest sucked"...but from the accusation that perhaps Art faked the mouse story, or faked the shooter/stalker story...I've liked and disliked certain shows....do I think Art is faking the mouse and stalker, no...

Oh absolutely not! I think most entertainment professionals would have simply said, "technical difficulties" and went off the air. Art does not do that...he is open with his fans, AND to market his brand...I think we all love that about him...

However, if it was said or implied that he FAKED it, that is a different scenario...
