Also I'm pre-calling shotgun for when the time comes for Art to pick us all up in a ship he "borrows."

A "Final Solution" for the foul green things. Funny.

Not sure how I feel about this now that it's finished, but here's my go at a badge design:

Yer cooking them wrong
I check in late at night and Art's thread has turned into the cooking channel.

Try something like this for cooking brussels sprouts.

Hell, it has bacon in it.  The secret ingredient to making anything good.

That is so good. My favorite easily.
Maybe add like
AB MITD? Somewhere? Or maybe that would make it too militaristic.

Since the 'Art Bell' thread was derailed by Art himself dissing Lima beans, I thought I might post a defense of the often maligned legume.

Popular in the Southern U.S., where they are also called "Butter Beans" due to their creamy texture when cooked, dry Lima beans are white, not green.  After adding plenty of water and cooking them about 1-1/2 hrs you can season them with dried herbs, add sautéed garlic, onions, and some diced celery and/or carrots.  Simmer for another hour or so until soft.  Sometimes I add a small can of V-8 Juice and a splash of Tamari for extra flavor during the last 30 min.  (I add enough liquid so that the consistency is like a soup or stew).  Salt & pepper to taste.  Serve with steamed chard or other greens as a side dish, and freshly baked cornbread or French bread.  Bon Appetit!

Really enjoyed the show last night.  What stood out was Art in the chat saying, and I'm paraphrasing because I didn't have the presence of mind to do a screen shot, "Just give me one head-to-head in a major market" with Dave.  Is this the most aggressive stance Art's publicly taken?

I don't personally think Art is into fisticuffs...

Personally, I think twice...

Baby limes and cornbread. NOW that's a little bit'a heaven!!

With this, I have to agree. Lima beans should be loaded onto trains and driven straight into the boiling pits of sewage.
Not until they have been slathered in buttah along with the brussel sprouts and passed through me.

Juan

Proper butter beans are picked much earlier than Lima beans.  They are usually cooked fresh and have a much different taste and texture than dried Lima beans.

I like them too, even just plain with a little salt and pepper is fine

Another one I cooked up... Now that I look at it, a border around the whole thing might help...

Art vs lima beans... Slow day yesterday?

Growing up in HMB California there were a lot of Brussell Sprout farms. The only thing worse than the taste of those sprouts is the putrid smell of rotting plants after harvest. You could fry them in bacon, cover them in chocolate and have a pre-anorexic Jennifer Love Hewitt spoon feed them to me annnnnnnnd no thanks.

I was wondering if there is a pro-Noory forum somewhere and if they are getting upset Noory may lose stations?

I think they are really delicious. Art was hilariously dramatic when he talked about how gross they are. Lol. He doesn't eat anything healthy, he said so himself.

However he eats, it appears to have worked well for 70 years.  :)
