As it stands he now has neither a web presence nor a platform to return.

Unless someone comes along with a ready made solution which includes a live streaming/hosting platform and the tech abilities to run and maintain it as well as someone to run and maintain the website then I think we are done.

I keep hoping he will get pissed enough to return to radio. He said he had three other offers from networks other than Sirus and they were all more lucrative than Sirius, and they offered him any time slot.

Art seems to be a very headstrong individual who once he has made a decision, whether good or bad, will keep on going on that heading. He has said that streaming on the web is the future and I doubt he will return via the terrestrial route. I also doubt he would get hired considering how his last hiring went. Last post before bed.  I am beginning to feel like Nostra-bloody-damus.  I am ready to do psychic readings at $150 / hour and promote my new service with an appearance on Coast (I'm confident that George would bring me on given my past praise of him in the "George Noory is awesome" thread.)

...Keith says "no" because he is hoping that having Church appear on Coast brings in more listeners.  In reality, Art has not really promoted DM and Keith may have been hoping that Chruch could help out with the numbers.  Getting DM mentioned to a couple of hundred thousand listeners would be the best publicity that Keith never bought...

I'm not sure he is full of shit, but at this point I think if Art surrounds himself with a new crew it might be for the best. He and Keith have worked together forever... and maybe it is time to move on.

This actually might be an opportunity for Art to explore other options.  When he said he was done with terrestrial radio, I understood he meant working for big corporate radio, with all their contractural BS.  Why can't he still self produce and offer his show as an independent?  One major drawback to corporate radio however remains their excessive advertising, which is precisely what has driven away so many listeners.  If they cut into Art's show 4 times an hour with 20 min of advertising, ugh...I'd rather hear him on a live stream podcast.

Art has every right to have beef with jimmy church!  Church didnt have to join the dark side. Jimmy knew the rivalry between coast/premier and Art, but he chose to betray Art and willingly  chose to accept coasts offer.  Also Art is absolutely right in that coast/premier purposely went after jimmy to steal him away from Dark Matter Radio. But jimmy was a fool for taking the bait and being naive enough to think that coast genuinely wanted him as a host and that it wasn't meant to get at Art and piss him off.

As far as Keith, I think Art is pissed off because Keith never told him about Jimmy leaving to go to coast. As soon as Keith found out, he should of got on the phone and told Art. Keith tried sweeping it under the rug and not telling Art about it. I wouldnt be suprised if coast even offered Keith a position within the company. Its obvious that coast/premier are REALLY trying to do Art harm, emotionally. Thats soo fucked up and those two (keith and jimmy) are fucked up too!!!!

I agree, DMRN is not going to be the platform that best serves Art. A new competent team is just what Art needs. He needs to do actual research and get some professionals.

Coast isn't trying to steal him away. Jimmy Church himself said he was going to continue Fade to Black on DMRN. Church was not offered a full time weekend job. He was offered a fill in weekend role, like many others have been on the weekend.

i think church was a simple pawn, noory asked him to come on as a guest host, knowing rowland was a antisocial neckbeard and thusly do something to piss off art bell. all while noory kept himself away from it, although he instigated the whole affair.

it worked out better than george noory could ever hope for.
