Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

I listen to Noory only about a couple of hours a week.  Last night as he took callers I got to realize that he really is paying for "plant" callers.  There was a guy last night who said he was a trucker.  There was no motor sound in the background and neither Noory or the caller indicated where he was.  Remember in the old days, the trucker would say: "Right now I'm getting out of Dallas and heading to Tulsa, on highway whatever."  This guy just asked his question without the usual hesitancy of someone not used to being on the air.  Too confident for my suspicious ears.  At the end, no request or offer was made to have the trucker blow his semi's horn.  Art loved that.  No, I don't believe the guy was calling from a truck stop.

C2C has to get decent sound effects for their fake callers.
I noticed this too. George said "he's trucking." George's way of speaking about topics is terrible/incorrect considering how much he claims to be enthusiastic about because they relate to the show.

George Noory is a liar.

....before GNoory played the always spectacular UFO Phil last night and did his recorded name-game sign off, he told the listeners still listening to be "diligent" this weekend due to terror threats. I assume he meant vigilant. This after he was done mentioned that a missile may have gone through the Pentagon because the hole was small....
.....sigh.

I listened to the show between 1:30am and 1:45am. It's all I could take and it wasn't even Georges fault this time. That guest was all over the place. George asked him about Fatima and he starts in about the Spanish flu popping up one year to the day, how it spread across the globe instantaneously just like consciousness can and on and on. I couldn't follow or figure out what the hell he was getting at. Of course Snoory was no help. He was just letting the guy ramble on.
that part came from an earlier point the guest was making after seeing this week's new episode of Ancient Aliens that Noory's head again appeared on with non-expert comments. Those were some of the topics on that episode that aliens may have brought epidemics like the flu to earth.
the guest congratulated Noory on his many appearances on Ancient Aliens on the History channel too.  :P

Maybe it's the rather fuzzy picture, but his hairline sure looks like it's made of plugs.

Noory again appeared on the new Ancient Aliens episode this week, with more of his useless comments as a non-expert talking head.  :o

OK, which one of you miscreants sent Danheiser the phony text message this morning ? The one from "Carrie in Washington" which asked Noory two questions:

'What's the nicest thing you've ever done for another person ?'
'When are we going to hear from Dr. Morgus again ?'

Had Coastgab written all over it. C'mon, guys, you know those two assclowns aren't smart enough to recognize sarcasm or appreciate the absurd. They thought some listener was actually pathetic  ass-kisser enough to ask those questions. Please don't encourage their delusions.

Oh, Noory's reply ? "You don't want to really brag about stuff like that .." then proceeded to do exactly that with a list of generous acts he's performed.

I didn't even think about that phony text message having come from Fry's Girl, even though her teehee has now incriminated her for all time.  ;)

What I did think was that it had to have come from a paid caller.  They really overstepped the line with that one.  C'mon, pitiful old Dr. Morgus?  Really?  :P

I just wonder if they've told George?

George Norrey is insincere.  I  miss the old Art Bell show.  George is making a killing off of C2C.  He has no real stance on anything.  He has changed over the years.  I am very, very, disappointed.  I love George knapp; and Whitely Strieber is NOT a nut.  He is confused, like all of the other abductees, but not a nut.  Most of the guest are sincere, but George is interested in raking in the dough.  I hate that!  Does he pay royalities to his guests?  I think not.  Lost interest.  Will do anything for cash George.  He used to be "nobody"; now look at him.  Rich and willing to say anything.

This is funny. I don't think I know of another site on the web where there is so much criticism of the subject of the site. Usually it is a complaint with the response that if you don't like the show, or whatever, that you should quit listening/watching. In this case it is as close to unanimous as it can get--Noory sucks. The thread is of course titled Noory Sucks..., but it carries over into every other thread. An entire site based on enjoying C2C that has become 99-100% of the opinion that the host is horrible.
Coast is one of the few shows that we all know is capable of being so much more.  We (almost) all remember what it once was... a couple of nights a week we get a taste of what is still possible.

I think that many of us have a special place in our hearts for Coast... Oh, it's not that life does not go on without it, but when it had been a part of your life for a decade or more it is hard to watch it deteriorate.  That's the thing about it- it is deteriorating.  For months many of us would give it a chance- we would hope.  GN has now made it clear that there is no more reason for optimism; he is not going to step up his nightly performance and the show will only suffer further decline.

There are no real alternatives to coast (at least in my local market.)  I can listen to music or the CBC overnight but don't want to every night (even in C2C's hay day I would sometimes listen to the CBC.)  This is not like most shows where you just change the channel to something that you like more if you don't like the direction it is taking.  Art had created a one of a kind show and it hurts to watch it become a circus whose ringmaster seems to be a lazy, mentally defective zombie.

It is sad when the level of trust in a host has slumped to the point where a large number of people no longer believe what he says.  If it were Art I would bet that you would have trusted him enough to give him the benefit of the doubt and say that you thought the caller was resting overnight in his bunk at a truck stop.

It seemed that Art hated call screeners... could this have been the last straw?  Could it be that Premiere had not only demanded that his calls be screened, but that he start taking paid actors for a percentage of his callers?  I know there is no evidence of this, but it is a fun theory to roll over in my mind.

fakeexposer

8)I agree; who is George Norrey anyway?  A scientist?  I think not; an expert in anything; I think not.  It is his exposure that is giving him the fame; the good old fame-game.  I am irriated and do not listen anymore unless George Knapp is on.  He is still quality; objective, and educated way more than George will ever be.  Art Bell lived in a trailer; humble, and truly interested in seeking truth; great subjects.  George; calls screens; cutting people off who ARE interesting; playing expert, and pushing every product, including the "Coast Insider" to make a buck.  Enjoy the private jet George; I quit!

The slugs running PremRat think Coast is a kook show.  They thought Art was a kook.  Same with the guests and callers.  But it fills late night and overnight hours, the wasteland for radio.  They think George is just another kook, and so are the people that listen.  They think the people that reject George Noory completely are more of the same.  The show is bundled in with the rest of their lineup of shows, they figure every once in awhile a listener might buy something.

A bunch of corporate hacks, they're asleep during the broadcasts, dreaming about the next step up the ladder.  From their perspective, George is just another employee they can pretend to care about - 'just sell the storable food Big Guy, yer important to the company'.  Yes man George, washed up and disoriented, isn't going anywhere.  The perfect stooge.  Tommy, somehow terminated from the Dr Laura show, he's found a steady paycheck and, like Gerrge, can be his true self over in the shabby wing of the building...

Frys Girl

George Noory is a weak excuse for a "conspiracy host." He doesn't seek truth. Regardless of your view on the 9/11 event, don't you think that if George Noory believed his bullshit line "I think there are unanswered questions about 9/11 and we deserve to know the truth," he would have a show with experts and guests who could offer alternative views to the 9/11 commission Noory claims did a bad job?

Truth is, George Noory has no opinion because he's too dumb and lazy to. He's just diet Alex Jones. Too scared of his executives and too dumb to do the show properly. Coast to Coast AM is a joke and an infomercial (a bad one).

I miss the hell out of Bell and George is getting worse, but what's better?  Plus George is dumb enough to be punked, unlike a terrible host like Mark Levin, who has the world's most annoying voice, but is far too smart to be fooled, lol.  Though I *do* know of someone who punked Limbaugh, and that's tough, considering that Rush's no dummy.

Noory, however, is low-hanging fruit.

I wish. Turned out to be most of an hour of Catherine Austin Fitts, an hour of Damon Vickers jabbering and making bad jokes about the President's jobs speech, one hour with the voltage medicine guy (under the bus for you!) then an hour about some power outage in San Diego. Welcome to the ADD Radio Network. Any chance someone will be able to make Noory write "I am not a journalist" 100 times on the blacKboard ?
Interesting RE the Southwest blackout....Some b*tch caller suggested that Obama deliberately caused the blackout so that it would add more urgency to the Administration's quest for infrastructure improvement.

George pretty much enabled her argument.

Wonder how long before George will have no holds barred white supremacists on so he can cash in on Obama Derangement  Syndrome?

well i for one am proud of how the Nation's clandestine black ops agencies have rallied behind the first Black president to perpetuate these conspiracies and frauds.  it shows you what you can accomplish when you set your mind to something.

That is as well said as can be said.  You have summed up my feelings exactly.  The deterioration of the show is much like watching the declining health of a loved one or a dear pet.  You so long for things to be as they once were in the good old days.

I've considered calling the show lately because I think it would be easy to rip into him. I also wanted to ask what he thought about all the "hater" sites, and the descent of the fan sites which seem to all be dead or shutting down. I have wanted to ask about paid callers since I saw that the same company was using them on other shows, and people said they were paid to call Hannity.

As for punking Rush, Mike Stark has been calling him to debate on the error and destroying him for years. It is always the same pattern, he gets on makes points, and Rush either lies or ends the call and talks for 5+ minutes so the callers forget the original points. I think he is on TruthTicker.com now. Rush used to like liberal callers, but now if you call his screener drills you about every single contingency you might talk about. If he thinks you veer off it he complains to you if you stay on the line when Rush cuts you off.

I know I am in the minority here, but I don't hate UFO Phil, or J.C.; I haven't seen anyone comment on it, but I thought it was funny last time when G.N. put him on air with the guests and they were all pissed at him. It's one of the few shows I've heard lately where Noory has done ok.

I can't believe there are over 300 pages on the Noory Sucks thread. This number is increasing faster and faster too it seems. I spend far more time laughing at the analysis of Noory's ineptness than I do suffering through the show.

You must not have seen the GNS! (official style) that existed over at GLP before the Noory trained Nazi's (j/k, sort of) deleted the thread for no valid reason. Dare I say, it was an epic and ongoing journal of the nightly diabolical deviants of sNoory. I'd hazard a guess at least a few of us are immigrants from that digital land, arriving here after our search to find an outlet to vent our mounting frustration for the slow and steady disintegration of the late, great Coast to Coast AM. So yeah, Noory sucks.  ;D  Trust me, we're not alone in our hours of discontent.  I've noticed the movement growing stronger in many places as the GN suckage grows exponentially.

I would have thought it was funny, too, if I didn't believe JC is a paid actor whose visits are totally expected by Noory, and if the topic just preceding JC hadn't been about being reunited with dead loved ones (NDEs), and callers were crying as they tried to tell their sad stories while Georgie wanted them to talk to crazy old JC.

It was sort of like being at a funeral where some relative you don't like comes in dead drunk and makes a total fool of himself. Would have been hysterical another time, but just didn't cut the mustard with Grandma all laid out there in white. :P

The show has become a parody of itself. It is so bad, Noory is so bad, that it is amusing and entertaining (in small doses).  It's like a cult classic B-movie.  But one can take only so much of this at any given time.  I listen in long enough to shake my head, remarking to myself just how much of a clown Noory truly is, then I usually have to move on.  Occasionally he has an interesting guest that rises above his ineptitude, so I'll hang in for that.  Mostly, I just listen long enough to say to myself, "Noory is a jackass", "Noory is an inept moron", etc... before switching over to Neal Boortz or Clark Howard podcasts...

But what's hilarious is he took a call recently from a guy who said we needed to start spending on our infrastructure.......and of course, Snoory agreed.

Totally mallable, or just stupid? You decide.

How does Noory continue to ask questions which the guest had answered less than a minute earlier?  He did it again on tonight's show.  Is he deaf or is he watching SpongeBob Squarepants YouTube videos while he searches for his latest ratings?  The guy has an attention span the size of a gnat.  Half the time I don't think you could call him an active participant in the conversation.  His listening comprehension is reprehensible.  I wish a guest would make a "good point" about it to wake him up.

Oh, goodie!  It's another health show.  This time the "good doctor" seems to be strongly advocating for not following the "traditional" treatments for cancer.  While he claims to not be telling people what to do he is rehashing the points that Chemo therapy is poison and will kill you (statements like that sure do push people in one direction.)  45 minutes of this quack is almost enough... I think it is time to go put a second coat of paint on the windows.

I appreciate alternative treatments as much as the next guy.  No doubt there are things that you can do in your life to prevent cancer or help treat it.  However, it scares me when he says that he sold 150 000 books after he was on coast last time.  How many deaths can be directly attributed to this quack dispensing his information to the gullible?  When he promises that you can see the cancer "dissolve on impact" and that you will regrow healthy cells in "21 days" it is pure quackery.  Provided the medical treatment did not do too much harm to the terminal cancer patients he can cure them in 2-16 weeks.  What a load of S##!...

Hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, colloidal silver, and you are cured of cancer.

HaHa.  Now it's "7 days of Ritalin and you are a Heroin addict."  I take it some days and don't bother taking it for weeks at a time.  Perhaps I should try that with Heroin- according to his theory I must be immune to addiction. ::)

A quack being interviewed by an idiot.

That would have been Dr. Leonard Coldwell, followed by enviromentalist Peter Sale.  I really didn't want to write another post amicably lampooning another left leaning, well intentioned, fellow human who seems to like coral reefs a lot, as do we all, because I don't want to come across as a right wing loon, and things can get mighty ugly around here when politics "breaks out", but when Sale talks about how humans are destroying the earth,  and how we should be "curtailing population production", and George , who is supposed to be Mr. "I don't believe in man made whatever", and is always railing against these population reductionist, just rolls over, what's a right wing loon supposed to do?   Memo to Peter Sale:  get off the planet, you creep live long and prosper.

Don't worry about it, Valdez, I'm a left-leaning loon who thought the same things you did.  In fact I thought Sale gave Ed Dames a run for title of "Doctor Doom."

Skipped the 1st hour -- just can't take any more of that cancer stuff -- still waiting for George to be arrested for his role in scaring cancer patients into the arms of quackdom.

Did suffer through hearing Sale tell Noory he'd like to see earth's population cut in half.  Now that gave me pause ...

Best Nooryism of the night for me:

George:  "Why does coral have to live in salt water instead of fresh water?"

Guest:  "That's a 'why is the sky blue question', George.  Can't be answered."

michio

The concept of what happens to an expanding population with limited resources is pretty simple.  It's as Sale said, you fight over the limited resources.  I don't know where people get the idea that humans can wildly breed forever and there will be no consequences.  It's an idea with no place in the real world with its real problems.

It's the sixth great mass extinction.  It should be a big deal to everyone who lives on the planet.  As Sale said, the fifth and last mass extinction event was the undoing of the dinosaurs some 65 million years ago.  But _why now_ along _with_ global warming/climate change?  I believe in coincidences but this is all too close for comfort.  It would bother someone like Art who sees the bigger picture, but Noory feigns interest for a few hours but then is sure to return his usual climate denier diatribe.  I'd hate to be one of his grandkids, knowing my grandfather didn't give a crap about the world he'd left for me.
