O.K. I know everyone on here knows that dave is an INCOMPETENT P.O.S. Thank God my Insomnia has been getting better.I have been able to sleep better now.Now I Rarely listen to the Biggest douche on the radio.Unfortunately I was up last night.2 hours of an Infomercial along with sucking music artists.CTC is long gone .    HURRY UP JULY!!!
Second half dave clearly can not keep up with  conversations. When they "lost"the guest last night and he came back on within one minute poor dave could not even remember what they were talking about. He tried guessing but to no avail.Same with breaks.A guest is saying something really interesting ,they have to go to break and when they come back from break dave goes to a different direction and we never get to hear the rest of what the guest was saying.

...and so ends the Critical Health News infommercial.

This guy has been on every month! He was on mid-march and early February. It is such an infomercial.

I can't believe it hasn't been mentioned here but this quack said he can cure "gay" with a special diet. Of course Jorch just passed right through that like it was common knowledge. He didn't get into too much detail, I think he blamed gluten.

I always thought mini carrots would make you gay, I KNEW IT!!!!!

If they wanted to remove any doubt of credibility with this alternative health guest, that would be it.

I noticed that too. The last twenty minutes of that show was the perfect example of what spawns all these pages. George was his typical disengaged, lazy unprepared self. But it was good to see him get caught. I am so sick of every time a guest loses connection dimwit George goes into his tired old "they" are interfering with the phone lines crap. GNS and everbody knows it

Well what do you know about that--there's a picture of Jorch right there on the page (top right corner)...

Is this an alternative version of the old Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval and indicates that this product meets with the approval of Dave?

Knowing  Jorch, he's either surfing porn, or sexting with Linda Moulton Howe.

Too bad she on the phone talking dirty to George Knapp.

Listening to last night's show on Tune-in recording, and was absolutely shocked by Joel Wallach's assertion that he 'knows' how to cure various birth deformities - not post-partum, but by treating the mother during pregnancy. He rattled off a list which included such things as cleft palette, cerebral palsy and Down's Syndrome. He then added 'transgender behaviour', 'lesbian behaviour in females' and 'gay behaviour in males', all of which he claimed to be able to 'prevent' by treating the mother in pregnancy. 'It's not a choice, they're driven to do this by things that happen to them in early pregnancy'. He then added that in this way we can 'really save society a lot of unnecessary misery.'
All those quotes are verbatim.

Did any of this draw so much as a comment or a challenge from Noory? Nothing. He moved on to his next non sequitur and gave it a free pass. Disgusting and, yet again, deeply irresponsible.

What's funny is that I've been listening to a lot of Exotica lounge music like Les Baxter and Martin Denney lately. I find the whole mid-century Tiki craze facinating, as well as the more recent Tiki revival movement.

Les Baxter was a highly underrated composer. I primarily know him from his movie work with Roger Corman and AIP.  He composed a wonderful score for the Corman/Poe/Lovecraft pastiche, The Haunted Palace with Vincent Price.

I spent yesterday playing Pontius Pilate in an Easter play and was praised very highly in my performance.  I apparently stole every scene I was in.  Anyway, I really wanted to hear the last half of the show due to my experience but I was just too tired.  I think I'll listen to it later.

Looks like they got a photo that Dave wasn't able to edit, hehe. The man looks kind of worn down to me.

I wonder why he's so worn down?  It's not like he works very hard during the show.  I guess its the 8 hours of show prep he does every day.  :P Snark!

He just had Wallach on about 2 or 3 weeks ago and he stated that he had the cure for Muscular Dystrophy.  He claimed that this is why he was fired from some medical board or foundation.  I can't recall what it exactly was that he said he was fired from.  Yes, I'm sure many people are suffering from MD because Joel Wallach's cure  has been silenced, except on coast.  As you would expect, no challenge from the Noorie.

1.“My views on charity are very simple. I do not consider it a major virtue and, above all, I do not consider it a moral duty. There is nothing wrong in helping other people, if and when they are worthy of the help and you can afford to help them. I regard charity as a marginal issue. What I am fighting is the idea that charity is a moral duty and a primary virtue.” Ayn Rand

2.I neither know nor want to know any more about Rush to know how closely they followed Rand.

3.Putting Rand and intellectual in the same sentence is an oxymoron.

Ayn Rand also railed against people taking government benefits...then she took social security and medicare benefits under the name Ann O'Connor when she got older and needed them. Rush should write a song about that. I can just picture the 20 minute opus. 15 minutes of tedious Neil Peart drum solo, followed by a few bar chords from Alex Lifeson with some generic synth underpinnings by Geddy Lee aka The Witch. Then the vocals start..."She's not a hypocrite, she's my HEEEERRROOOO....blah blah...living in the limelight...blah blah...today's Tom Sawyer...blah blah...roll the bones...blah blah...hero, hero...blah blah...in the high school halls conform or be cast out...blah blah...subdivisions...blah blah..we're talentless wankers...blah blah."

You have got to be kidding. This coming after a few months back Dave actually had some balls to cut a guy off who was about to go on a anti gay rant by telling him something along the line of "we don't talk about that sort of thing here." I guess now that ranks up there with it is clear he is willing to do that with people who are a one shot deal... but with regular guests he will let them rant on endlessly. He needs to lose his job.

To be fair to Noory
He was either
1.Too taken aback by the statement to stop it right away.
2.Or, more likely, he wasn't listening.

Nick el Ass

I'm not sure what I was going for with the "that ranks up there with" comment in my last post. I had a another Noory like moment in which I was distracted by something shiny, and didn't finish my original thought.

To be fair to Noory? No. No. No. Why? In the face of such appalling statements, for Noory to give them a free pass is unforgivable. To say nothing sounds like approbation. In the same way - and I'm relying on Nick El's memory here - telling the caller 'we don't discuss things like that here' is not confronting the caller's bigotry, calling him out on it and distancing himself and C2C from such attitudes, but only to suggest 'we won't discuss such distasteful subjects on my programme.'
More likely, it's another example of Noory's intellectual cowardice. Sure, he'll shut down a caller and hang up on them, but he won't directly confront them or a guest. For example, a few nights ago he asked a guest what he thought about the shroud of Turin and added that he (Noory) had studied it for 20 years and was convinced of its authenticity. When last night's guest suggested he was unsure of its authenticity, Noory immediately fell into line and agreed with him. Listing where the wind bloweth is the biblical phrase, I believe: all things to all men.

Everybody should be treated fairly. I've defended Noory here in the past, and I've gone after him as well.

Jorch also says they don't do politics on his show, yet he has no problem letting his guests pontificate on political matters with various asinine and untrue political statements. And Jorch just sits there with his thumb up his butt.

I'd agree.  George generally sucks - But, he does have an occasional moment of decency or humor or, more rarely, insight - and it's fair to record those to help bump down the suckage average.

Agreed zeebo & 136.

However, for him to say he's not political is pretty funny.  He has his own pet theories he sticks to no matter how many guests say the contrary (ie abiotic oil).  Also iirc he said a few years back he doesn't vote in order to be more objective lol.

Maybe. Maaaaaaaybe, Zeeb. But allowing a guest to state in so many words that homosexuality causes unnecessary misery to society is not decent, funny or insightful. Craven might get closer to it

Oh I was just making a general statement that occasional suckage exceptions do happen.  Would be hardpressed to find an example from last nite's flop.

I don't believe the 'doctor' said that.  He said something like 'homosexuality can be cured with my supplements."

I agree that homosexuality doesn't need to be 'cured' but I don't believe he said it caused harm to society.

As he is apparently a medical doctor, I believe his liscence can be taken away from him for making the claims he is.

Judge for yourselves. Not the best quality, but the best I can manage. Unfortunately, you can't export Tune-In recordings directly, so a bit of re-recording and file conversion was necessary.

You can hear Coast to Coast (and all their other shows on CKNW and some other Canadian stations) for 10 days in their audio vault section.  However, I'd only listen if you gave me the time it was mentioned as I'm obviously not going to listen to that whole bit of nonsense again.

I was taken aback myself with the comment but I don't recall him passing any judgement ether way except that his comment that homosexuality can be 'prevented'  obviously suggested he thought it was some kind of defect.
