I've always liked her segments.  It reminds me of Dreamland, back in the day. I rarely turn on C2C, but I did last night and heard about an hour of LMH.  I found the stories quite interesting, and the bonus was Noory barely opened his gob the entire time.

Yeah, the sounds were rather strange.  I think some are weather-related.  I don't know what some of the others are.  On this video, I think the first set of sounds are from someone firing a weapon. I live right next to a very large joint military base, and I hear stuff like that almost daily, so I'm not sure why it's included on this video.

Okay- So an interesting development regarding Wells.

First- Awesome. I thought I was going to like Wells in the beginning but he turned out to be a right wing crazy  much in the same vein as Alex Jones but with a bit more tact and style. Good riddance...Now, Stop having the Mad Ranter (Alex Jones) and thats two steps in the right direction.

Is it too much to hope that Knapp will step in and save the weekend?

I have not even listened to C2C in months and I need not ask if its improved, BUT I am hoping that Noory has taken some advice and is dropping the right wing circus and getting back to some paranormal and hopefully scary topics.

The vid posted has no meaning w/o publishing Standards and equipment used to record the sound.

I actually own a factory mfg calibration system and B&K 4132 and 4145 microphones. Using best preamp and power supply w/either, I was able to hear jets taking off from Burbank airport on quiet night > 20 miles away w/mic just in my living room w/doors and windows closed through headphones to eliminate feedback. I couldn't even hear that outside my house w/my naked ears after trying many times in similar conditions.

Lol this thread is so damn funny. I don't 'like' Noory but I don't hate him probably even 1/1000th as any of you here! He's a decent host, what more do you want? Better hosts like Art have a massive ego who just want to come and fuck off as soon as they possibly can. My favourite was Ian but very sad case there with his tinnitus.

But on a light note I love reading all the hate mails! xD Read about 200 pages past 3 hours, and therefore I'm not gonna ask anyone to stop

My comment for the year. George Noory really sucks!!! I have never seen a guy get shredded so badly on his own shows Facebook page, or any other forum relating to such... and not be in some major trouble. He must have nude photos of the powers that be over at Premier Radio. Noory is in the same boat with Seth Macfarlane whom I believe has nude pics of Rupert Murdoch.

It was Robert Mitchum. He was in a motel room with a young lady smoking marijuana, I think. I don't know if he was married to anyone else at the time.

My theory is the reason it didnt ruin Mitchums career is that be never had a squeaky clean image to begin with in films. He wasn't like Jimmy Stewart or John Wayne. He specialized in tough guys and bad boys. It's just my theory though. I will consult my pre-1960s movie buff fiend and see what be thinks. It didnt help his career, either, and it was mentioned in his obituary decades later.

It's funny how these things work. Lana Turner was in a scandal in which a guy died and she made a full comeback. Times and mores have changed, but a certain amount of it is luck, I think, for politicians, too.

According to Wikipedia, the girl Mitchum got caught with was named Lila Leeds. They say that it was part of a sting designed to net other stars as well but only Leeds and Mitchum weren't tipped off. So this suggests that there was a big pot-using crowd in 1940s Hollywood. Of course the police in that part of the country were not famous for being ethical or competent at that time either.

According to Wikipedia, the Mitchum films released just after the incident did very well, so maybe it did help his career after all.

I have to admit I always loved Mitchum, whether it was in cult classics like Thunder Road, playing thoroughly evil characters in Night of the Hunter or Cape Fear or playing Pug Henry in the Winds of War miniseries.
