I think we should lay off George now that Art is back.

We were kinda stuck with him, when we wanted Art, now we have Art.

Perhaps.... the negativity should stop. Not saying I enjoy C2C in it's present state.

But dragging the guy through the muck has lost it's charm for me.

I came, I vented, I conquered.  That is, I conquered the angst I felt toward gn.  I quite listening to gn years ago and the ire faded along with acknowledgement of gn.

But there are those who are new listeners looking for this BellGab sanctuary that most of us found years ago.  I certainly don't want to deny them this place where they can find relief and meet kindred spirits . . . of sorts.

  Dave has some karma to purify that's for sure.  I guess he's purifying his bad karma with us and creating some good karma too.  The guys a magnet for all kinds of verbal abuse that would have been bestowed upon our families and associations throughout the day if not for Dave. He takes it from all of us, so others in our lives don't have to suffer.  He's a martyr of sorts - a co-dependent, passive aggressive martyr - with a complex. Dave doesn't mind. He likes the attention.

Bara making a mockery of logic, science, and professionalism is bad enough. But the thought that he is making a living from ripping people off and feeding them this bullshit is infuriating.

Well, Bara was dumb enough to stick his nose into the realm of science. A place where you can't make things up and think it will work! A place where you can't just invent your own version of physics! A place where your ideas have to pass the brutal scrutinizing eyes of the scientific community! He isn't talking about a personal experience, he isn't talking about anything anecdotal, he is trying to explain things in an empirical manner. Why is this huge?

For once, we are able to prove a guest wrong with actual proof of our own! Again, because he is dumb enough to try and play the swindler game in a realm of facts. It is everyone's chance to put someone who is full of shit in their place. How can we not jump at this opportunity? How can we not try to expose this man, destroy his career of ripping people off by lying to them and preying on the gullible? How can we not set an example for everyone else that science is not something to be fucked with?

It's your bad broadcasting and lack of professionalism, idiotic comments for 10 years, lack of show prep, lack of hard hitting questions, and so much more that has made me and others ill for 10 years.

And * I * am not the only one who feels that way.

Work to do a hell of a lot better than you have been doing and I MIGHT change my opinion of you and your guests, some of those who are just plain ridiculous like the guy who claimed he found evidence of Chinese colonies in the Americas. I've NEVER read anything in the literature nor from Native Americans that say that they met up with, interacted with or killed any Chinese colonists.

Art isn't letting guests ramble on any more with hearsay or unsubstantiated claims. He's dropping them and going to open lines. You should do the same.

And for what its worth, its not just picking on YOU. I've been listening to talk shows since the days of Ira Blue. My Mother was his last nurse before he died and he talked continually about the paranormal and UFOs on KGO radio and I used to listen to Long John Nebel when he had a show when I was a child.

I didn't fall off the paranormal turnip truck yesterday.

I had regular correspondence with Donald Keyhoe and his secretary at NICAP, have talked to many in the UFO field like Friedman, Menzel, Klass, Jesse Marcel, Jr., Richard Hall, the Lorensens and J. Allen Hynek and I was a member of NICAP when I was 12.

And the first UFO books I read were those of the contactees of the 1950s, Frank Scully's books, Don Keyhoe, Frank Edwards and so much more.

So I think I am very learned in the literature of both UFOs and the paranormal and have had my own NDE, ghost, time portal and UFO experiences as well, including my CAP wing being told that 500 of us saw Venus when we were on a search and rescue in the Sierras in 1964.

You were in the Naval Reserve. Think of how the Navy would not have let YOU be unprofessional in your 9 years of service. My Dad was in the Army for 30. The one time he was unprofessional ( black marketing at the end of WWII during occupation ) he was reduced in rank but still managed to retire as a sgt major.

That professionalism is what you should have been thinking of.

Not being lazy and not doing your job properly all these years.

C2C is an institution that turned me on to radio, got me through some difficult nights, educated me, opened my mind and taught me to be a sceptic at the same time, it was also responsible for terrifying my then girl now wife to the point that she would not leave my bed at night. Art Bell created that institution and I have more respect for his NATURAL talent, articulate monoluge-interwiew style, and intelligence than almost any other public figure. 

Yes, I hold Art in very high regards and when he retires for good there will be a hole in my heart forever.  For me, this institution was destroyed by the management of Premiere Radio Networks for continuing to broadcast the lazy ego of a man who refuses to admit that he does not posses the natural talent that Art has in one toe.  This is made even worse when someone refuses to acknowledge his shortcomings and does not have enough respect to step-down. I am sure that the person in question is a descent guy in real life, but if I sucked this bad at my job I would not have the support of management and I would have been let go. No one would carry my shortcomings for so many years and justify them with skewed statistics. This situation reminds me of how tobacco companies depend on new youthful smokers to replace the ranks of customers that drop off like flies.  The people who are new to C2C will learn only after being force feed what I consider to be junk radio.

My disgust is more with Premiere Radio Networks than GN but in my opinion until he is gone anyone with respect for C2C as an institution in obliged to respectfully voice their thoughts about the program's host.
