The numbers thrown about for flu statistics are always just estimates. Some people get tested for the flu but most do not.  It is never for confirmed cases of the flu.  The numbers being used for COVID always use confirmed cases. Once this is better understood as far as asymptomatic cases, probably through random antibody testing and extrapolation, Kung Flu numbers will be less than 1%.  You are only seeing a death rate against confirmed cases.

There is political expediency in not performing large scale covid antibody testing- the resulting low mortality rate would make this social/economic shutdown appear to be a self-sabotaging hoax.

There will be many places to feast including T.D.'s Endless Buffet.  There is a burger restaurant called the Mutilated Cow.

Thank you for continuing to make my point.  Numbers for the flu are a mathematical model.  Numbers for COVID are actuals based on very limited testing.

California does not include people over 65 in their flu stats.  No kidding here.

Wild parrots flock around Iolani Palace.  They whiz through the air or perch high in the trees.  They aren't worm diggers.  They aren't pigeons.  They never land on the ground or beg for food.  Last week I found two of them standing listlessly on the ground, about thirty feet apart, just outside separate gates.  I was able to walk right up to them.  This is highly unusual behavior for them.  I've never seen them down on the ground, before.

The palace guard ignored my calls.  I went across the street to Queen's Hospital and stood at the makeshift emergency entrance.  Nobody was there, and no one came to my attention.  There were two ladies sitting about thirty feet away at the entrance to the hospital.  They ignored me.  Finally, I ignored the 'wait here' sign, and approached them.  Upon informing them about the parrots, they said that they didn't have any vets.  I asked them to please call the State immunologist, as I don't have a cell phone, and all the pay phones have been disabled.  They refused. 

A security guard showed up and told me to bring the birds to the hospital.  How retarded do you have to be to become a security guard?

I left and went over to City Hall, where another security guard was a good man, who had the wherewithal to call a State deputy who has jurisdiction at the Capital adjacent to the Palace.  I showed him one of the birds, and he called the Health Department, who came and got the bird for testing.

The other bird was gone.  Somebody must have grabbed it and taken it home.
