Well, there's at least one good thing to come from George hosting - turmeric. Stuff works. You only notice it if you have a health problem of some kind though. Had a wisdom tooth coming in, ripping thru the gum, trying to grow out. Mouth gets infected, wound in mouth = infection. Started taking it. Mouth is fine. Stop taking it. Mouth gets inflamed again. Start again, mouth is fine. Stop, bad again. Fast forward, now the wisdom tooth really wants to come in. Trying to move a whole rack of teeth forward to make room, not going to happen. Wisdom tooth ended up cracking into pieces trying to move the other teeth. I spit little pieces of it out every once in awhile. It's better than the dentist bill. Mouth is perfectly fine, no pain. Wisdom tooth obliterated itself. Probably should get the pieces taken out though.

And then there are the back problems, haven't been in the hospital since taking it. I take it whenever I remember. Mix it with something and some water. Heaping teaspoon. Just down it and get it over with. Take some black pepper with it, helps with absorption.
.............

What's the deal with George and the stammering while he is trying to formulate a question as he is asking it. It's like he doesn't even have a question yet, but starts to ask anyway. So the question begins with an embarrassing awkward moment... "d...dt..dt...dewwww.....jewwww..........c..ckhew...........    do you think it was a portal?".....

In the beginning, I thought maybe it was his speech impediment showing up. Then, now, I think he doesn't even have a question ready. Is caught off guard. The guest stopped speaking, oh no, defcon 5 - got to come up with a question. He's looking at his cue cards. Thinks he has one, then thinks the guest just answered it so he can't ask that one. More fumbling with the cue cards. Or he is scanning thru the fast blasts, looking for a question within the ten other fast blasts that say "fuck you asshole". Thinks he has one, starts to ask it. Then realizes the question he is reading as he is trying to ask it goes no where. Or Tommy, or whoever, is reading him a question in his head phones. Scrambling to read him a question, because George just fell on his face again.

Within the past month or two I was able to catch him in the worst crash and burn question failure I've ever heard him have. Was seriously embarrassing. Long question that ended up going no where. He was obviously having a major problem forming a question yet was still trying to talk, ton of stammering, changed the question mid stream after he finally figured out a 'good one' (via headphones, cue card, or fast blast). And for all that the question ended up being some elementary level inquiry.

Just reread this post an laughed again--good one, georgesucks.  I have decided his favorite default of all time is "Something's definitely going on there..."  It's the ultimate one-size-fits-all and he can string it out for 45 seconds while he looks from screen to screen to remember what he's doing next.

Anagrammy

PS. Did y'all notice that he's now announcing he's interested in conspiracies besides JFK assassination?  And he mentioned 9/11?  Truthers, birthers, deniers, we've got 'em ALL in the wings and Georgie will be agreeing with everyone.

He goes thru cycles of phrases and words that he will say without thinking, because he's not thinking. If you remember, he used to begin phrases when he was going to say something with "I gotta tell you". Or he would insert it in the middle of something he was saying, "And I gotta tell you." He still blurts it out, can't help himself. But he used to say that stinking phrase 5 times a night, everynight. Till even he noticed he was sounding like a parrot. Or someone told him. And he actually thought it made what he was saying sound more important.

It's the only evolution of George, the stinking brain dead words, phrases and catchalls that he uses. "I gotta tell you", "Something's definitely going on here/there", "Absolutely", "Absolutely, absolutely"..... oh, heard a guest pay homage to him by saying that exact phrase after George said something the other night. That double trigger, saying it twice, makes it sound more profound in George's pea brain.

You know you're an idiot when 50% of your vocabulary can be summed up in two sentences.

I am hoping last night was a nightmare. If not, abiotic oil, Corsi on to discuss a book that he is not allowed to talk about, and Hoagland in for the save.  That can't be what happened last night. If it is George needs help.

I could have sworn that whole program was a rerun.  I thought maybe George overslept or something and they just threw on whatever they could reach.

Oh, I'm so confused. :'(

Either I am sorry you heard this before or sick that you, a solar system nazi refugee who has heard this show on your tin foil helmet while rounding up Jews hiding in the Van Allen belt, had to listen again.  Ich bin ein alien.  Sound familiar, traitor?  We will torture you with abiotic oil until you speak.  Reveal yourself.

beachcomber

Everyone knows about the generic guest blurt - "Can you hear me?" spoken by many for no apparent reason at all, but this was the first time I've heard a guest say anything similar.

After a long monologue, a pause, then a short sentence... and then

"Are you there?" (to George)....

"Yes", he said
(He sounded like he just woke up)
then after a few more words from the guest he added,
"I think so too."

Would have been cool if Corsi (or whoever was on that night)  had said,
"About what?"
This will never happen.

i caught 10 minutes a few days ago? alex jones is the biggest ass-kisser in anywhere, anytime

No, wasn't Alex Jones. Something is going on with the amount of ass kissing though. I think George has been knighted, selected, something. Everyone is falling in line now. I also get the impression that George has been trying to be on his "A" game. Like there is brass in the studio. Or people doing a documentary.

Every once in awhile that would happen with George, someone would be in the studio listening and observing. Then he would mention it at the end of the show and it would all make sense. You could tell he was acting differently. He has his nights where he just shows up, then he has his nights when he does his "best he can" version. Hypocrite.

Art used to have the same thing, people in the studio, at the house for whatever reason. And he would mention it eventually. But you could never tell with Art. He was always Art.

Something is up with George. To use his new catch all, "Something is going on". Maybe it's a sublime slip by him again. Probably show format, name, presentation, material change in the works.

I want Mitchell to stop doing the voice overs. Ross Mitchell was Art's brainchild. His idea. Coast's signature voice. To have Mitchell do George's shows is disgusting. Sure Mitchell likes the work and exposure. He does morning radio in Reno last I checked, has for many years. If a revamp of Coast is in the works, hopefully they'll go for something just as smarmy and try to cut ties to Art and the old show by not using Ross Mitchell anymore.

George and Alex are both wig-wearing creeps. Jones may be the most insincere "personality" currently breathing(through his mouth,no doubt) just a total douche.

It's not only the ramping up of the guest asskissing (What an honor, just an honor, George, to be here on the most successful radio program in the nation, and with the absolutely best host ever to set foot on the soil of Terra...)  Way over the top.

It's the callers, too.  (George, I have been trying to get on for eight years and finally, I get to hear your voice--let me wipe a tear...I LOVE YOU, GEORGE>>>>>>>)

They are coached, plain and simple.  They are asked to express their appreciation of the program and of the host.  This began noticeably ramping up around the first of April when George made that statement, "There are haters on the Internet..."
Shortly thereafter, aldousburbank got his unsolicited email from Lisa wanting more specific reasons why he thought the show was an abomination.

It all fits--see, it may be that many individuals have been contacting Lisa regarding Snoory's abysmal performance, which reached an all time low in mid-March.  Keep those cards and letters coming in.  If we all email her with examples, it could help redesign the show WITHOUT THE SNOORON!

George sucks

John DeSalvo - Shroud of Turin, while I eat some dinner. Interesting subject matter, mundane host.

I remember when George first started, he mentioned a few times about how he was having to get used to all the computer usage. He was not computer adept. Mentioned that previously, he would have all his newspaper clippings, notes and such, spread all over the table. That that was the way it was done.

------ Brain dead twit just used his say it twice strategy to make it sound more profound and important, "I wish it would. I mean, I really wish it would." Horses ass. -------

------ "That's interesting" said three feet away from the mike as he is looking at porn. -----

So, he hits the big time, he is doing a show now -- shortly after divorcing his wife, after his dive late night show in St. Louis, after his topping out in television, after his not being able to handle the classes for dentistry, after his doctor pipe dream -- and has to get up to speed with the computers. And he is loving it. They are great. Everything is right there at his fingertips. He can do this with them and that with them. The show prep, the info, the way the show is ran, the callers, the lines, everything is so much easier.

Translated.... he hardly has to do shit now. All he has to do is show up and say some stupid shit and call it a day. Life is good.

That makes perfect sense with the coaching. I bet they are using the scripted, fake callers as well. I wasn't aware of much of the rest - that Noory's performance reached an all time low (ratings wise or observed opinion? He's always sucked the same to me), that Lyons sent a spontaneous email (I thought that was a form email following a subscription cancel), or that Lyons had an email address to which a person could send their criticism of Noory.

If there is an email address for Lisa Lyons to send our constructive displeasure with the idiot to, then everyone should know it. She should get bombed. There should be a campaign to make sure she is inundated, daily, till he is gone.

Lindsey Williams as a news segment expert on the price of oil?  He's an amicable guy, with a pleasant voice, but he's nuts.  The Gary Schwartz segment on "organ memory" was ok, but wasn't John DeSalvo on about a month ago talking about that Enochian magic?  Now he's an expert on the Shroud of Turin?  Have we done enough shows on this?  Do we repeat the same five subjects over and over again?  Does George really think anyone has the nerve to make a clone of Jesus?

;D ;D :D :D  No, no, not the abiotic oil.  I'll talk. I'll talk.  Just gimme my hat back.

Hahahahaha.  Nope, mystery solved.  I listen on XM and they run the show twice.  In my fits of restless sleep, I awoke on the same comment.

Alas, the show used to help lull me back to sleep.   Now I just lie awake.  "What did he just say???"

Now I have to find some other bore to listen to overnight.    :-*

I was sitting on the edge of my chair waiting for Hoagland to call in with a synopsis of how his work parallels the investigation into cloning the shroud. Then it occured to me that he may believe George is the product of such a cloning experiment from the shroud and would never out his good friend like that.

This has to stop.  I thought a change in format would be a neutral event, a sort of no harm no foul.  After listening, however, it is clear there was a strong logic behind the format that Art used.  First hour open lines or news etc, two hours of host and guest, maybe an hour of call in with the guest.  IT worked because it was flexible.  Some nights I hated the topic or guest.  I still stuck with it though.  Now, there are three or four distinct segments to dislike.

The only way this will end is a multi million dollar lawsuit from the makers of Ambien.

As to the pandering I can't figue out what it is .  Is this a desparate attempt by George and his Nap Pack buddies to keep him afloat?  Or, has George been given more say in the format, who guests, and the topics.  I truly hope it is a desparate attempt to save a sinking ship but every night I hear it I think it may be that he has been given a free hand to make the show into what he wants.

And if, god forbid, there is a decent guest, the topic just gets glossed over without any engaging details. (George will probably just say it's too boring to go into, anyway.)

Doesn't matter.  I quit this sensationalist crypto-tea-party Jebus-loving hack crap the other day anyhoo.

Don't get your hopes too high, though.  Lisa is what you might expect of someone who works hand-in-hand with George.  I spent an hour once in a Tuesday night C2C chat room with her as the host, and found her to be infuriating -- so much so that I wrote George at the time to tattle on her. (Silly me.)

Usagi, it's been a couple of years now, and I don't remember all the input from either myself or others in the room.  What I do remember, though, was the feeling that Lisa is a smartass and that I had been extremely civil, so there was no cause for that.

The one part I do remember exactly was that I said I felt that George's right-wing politics were losing him a large audience of liberals who listened to hear about the paranormal and didn't want to be driven away by politics  Lisa said she gets hundred of emails saying George is either too far to the left or too far to the right, so that he can't win for losing. Either she is totally ignorant of politics or she was lying through her teeth.  Or, I guess, a third possibility is that the listeners George is attracting really are that stupid.  ::)

So, what's the first step. Register everyone that is in the effort so we know what we are dealing with? 50 people aren't going to do it. Doubt 500 would do it. 5,000 would make an impression perhaps. Actually, someone would crap if that many people started sending emails. And there might be that many people that would like to see him gone.

Perhaps this should be a cross forum thing? All the forums? Put the word out? Sign up for the effort, see how many people there are? If enrollment takes off, then start sending the emails? How would something like this be done.

Alex has been trying to muddy up his trail almost ever since he turned up on public access radio.  At one time or another he's claimed to be an ordained Baptist minister, son of a University of Texas professor, BFF with Vernon Howell, etc.  Now he's got his star hooked on Charlie Sheen's runaway train, which in turn poses a big problem for Noory.

FIRST - Start a thread here for people who are willing to help
Decide together what your goal is
Decide together what your method is (inform, demand, petition, email harrassment, etc)
Decide how to identify yourselves (individuals or a group)
Make up some sample messages people can choose from
Identify all the other groups which might be interested
Form a google or yahoo group and post sample text, photos, make it lively
Invite the other groups to join your campaign

Make it diverse enough so you are using all the categories of poor performance that I list in my signatures.  You could even collect these on a database provided in the Yahoo group format.

Just some suggestions....
Goal: To get George Noory ousted as host of C2C
Initial Methods: emails to relevant people at C2C stating that George needs to be replaced, notification of product boycott via email to sponsors and advertisers on C2C.

To begin, I think it would be a good idea to form the army. Assemble all the people that want George gone from all across the net. Perhaps they can be reached thru all the relevant forums, ie: ghost, science, conspiracy, monster, ufo, etc, etc, etc, forums. When I say "assemble", it is merely an email registration. A person submits their email address via PM if they are game to send off a couple emails in the future to get George gone.

The thread within the relevant message board might, perhaps read in part or similar to something like this:
REGISTER TO GET GEORGE GONE
If you would like to see George Noory replaced, and are willing to send a couple emails in the future stating such, please submit your email address via PM.

Of all the people that have ever listened to C2C in any regular way at any time, it wouldn't surprise me if fully half of them would like to have George replaced if it was as easy as hitting a button. Which is just about as easy as sending an email. The more involved things get, the more people will fall off.

So, maybe take a couple months and see how many people there are to do this. Get everyones emails registered that is in for the effort. If a thousand people can be put together, that's a good start. If this effort only comes from this forum, there won't be very many people. In which case, I feel the same as mentioned previously that it would be a waste of time.

If a threshold amount of people is reached, then fire off orders. To the people that have registered, send the relevant email address/es and give the order to make our demands/state our position.

All the above is IMO of course. I'm not able to do anything so involved as moderate. I'm good for give and take like this to see how we can get this goal done. I'm ready to fire off a couple emails, etc. Or anything else that doesn't get in the way of life too much like most people.

I'm willing to set up a group as a hub.  Coast Host Feedback is a more positive name than Noory Gone or GNS and would be less of a turnoff to people who like George as a person and don't want to be associated with a dump George movement.

A realistic goal would be to reduce Noory time on the air (to improve his performance suggesting perhaps fatigue).  Even pro-Noory people can't deny he makes lame mistakes, so this gives them the opportunity to help save the show.

I was scanning radiotime and noticed that some stations in my area have chosen to broadcast old Coast shows instead of the current ones!  What does THAT tell you?

Agreed 100%. The only way any movement will have any effect is if it impacts the wallet, or gives the impression that it will or might impact the wallet. Advertisers, sponsors, and the people with the power to make a change at C2C should be the targets IMO.

I'm of the opinion that things are going to have to be VERY simple for people to get involved and for this to work.

For this to work, again all IMO, it is going to take a huge number of people - thousands at least. If it involves joining a group, joining a forum, making posts, reading a ton of text, a bunch of typing, a bunch of talk, etc. - then people aren't going to have the time or inclination to get involved.

If it is as simple as, "Do you want George replaced?" - "Why, yes. Here is my email address. Let me know when to send a couple lines and where." .... if it as simple as that then a groundswell can grow. If it is straight forward, clear and simple it means a much greater number of people.

The people that need to get in on this are the people that are out there and are merely of the opinion that if they had their choice, he would be replaced. The people that haven't listened to the show in a longtime because the show sucks. The people that don't have the time to post on an internet message board much. The people that have lives, things to do, are busy, but... when asked the question, "Replace him?", their answer would be "Yes". They are the ones that need to be reached, the ones that need to be given the incentive. And the incentive, IMO, would be that it is very simple.

Following the KISS method of doing things, I would go for the jugular. No PC or PR ness. Have the goal be to get him replaced. If as a concession his time on the air is cut, so be it. And IMO, the people that like George aren't wanted. There is no reason for them to have anything to do with the effort. If that is the doctrine, the plan, "Get him gone", then it's simple.

I have to sign off for a couple days, got things to do. I would like to see George replaced as host of C2C and believe if the number of people that feel the same way were to have their voices heard and actions noticed then it can happen. I do not feel it is unrealistic to have George replaced. Got to have thousands of people though.....
