I'm looking for something Hot Talk/ FM talk related.  Sub-conversation can include Howard Stern vs. Opie and Anthony.

Has anyone ever heard of the Ticket in Dallas? Those guys are really a hoot. You can stream them online. This is one radio show I like alot. Check out the Musers with the Great Gordo. You will be rolling on the floor.  ;D

I didn't see this thread just til now. But I like the Musers on 1310. Its an AM show, but they have an FM signal. They usually talk sports but they also mix in some other things like entertainment news and weird macabre stories courtesy of the Poster board of underachievement Gordon Keith.

Imus In The Morning, I guess.

agreed.  it beats the hideous local dreck airing on the other AM station in town.

I'm still a big Bob and Tom guy.

Frys Girl

Elliot in the morning...... he still sucks though.

I'm not sure what "Hot Talk/ FM talk" encompasses, but I really enjoy Stephanie Miller.

John Carlson, KVI 570 AM. After 20 years, he still has annoying habits, like agonizing pauses ("Spit it out, John") but does a bang-up job making local stories interesting and has a lot of good guests.

This thread hasn't gotten much attention.  I wonder how many people here share my feelings about most morning radio:  I despise it.  It's almost always two or three guys (throw in a woman once in a while) who sound like a group of jr. high kids who think they're brilliant and funny.  A guy makes a joke, repeats it three or four times while much chortling ensues.  Someone throws in a juvenile or inappropriate comment (the sort of thing you'd not say at a family meal), something gets bleaped out, more chortling and grunting.  Rinse and repeat.  I just do not get the attraction.

"A guy got his weiner stuck in an elevator!"
"How'd he do that?"
"Musta been trying to push the 4th floor button!"
"Or the 69 button!  69!  69!  69!"
Bleap-bleap-bleap....
"69!"
"How do you get your weiner stuck in an elevator?  How do you do it?  How?  Can someone explain to me how that happens?  I don't get it.  I don't.  How do you...."

Blah, blah, blah....

Maybe I better sign up for the Misanthropes of America Society because I can't stand most pop culture nowadays.

I love Imus in the morning. I came to the I-knowledge one morning when I accidentally tuned in. His crew patched a call to Idude from a woman (wrong number) asking for Tom. Imus got that the staff was screwing with him and immediately told the woman that Tom was dead. She was distraught. I know it's screwed up but I've been listening since. I also give to the Imus Ranch for Kids with Cancer. I'm inspired by the way the old dude is raising a young boy with wife Deidra, the way they're doing it. They've also adopted a kid whose both adoptive parents have died and are giving him a good life. I knew his brother Fred a bit and feel like I know Don. Pretty much the same way I feel about Art.

O and A all day! We'll until Art goes on air at least

Opie & Anthony by far. Stern was great, 20 years ago. Now he just looks like an old Jewish woman.

I have yet in life to be told that someone or something is a, "Hoot" & was actually funny. The only age group that I hear using the word hoot have had their AARP cards for at least ten years...

Father Pillow and Sister Sheets are a rocking combo on my Certa-Crane Radio Mattress  ;D

I really don't know where to put this and did not want to start an entire new thread.

It is often alleged that the reason that Coast's ratings are so high are because he is packaged with Rush Limbaugh.  In Los Angeles, both Rush Limbaugh and Coast are carried on KFI.  Tim Conway, Jr. is the lead into to Coast. .. Yeah.

Well, I read that on Friday, December 5, 2013 it was announced that Rush Limbaugh would no longer be heard on KFI.  Rush Limbaugh is moving across town to KTLK.  This is also a Clear Channel owned station, but Coast will now be the only syndicated show on KFI.  The local talent are being spread to cover the gap left on KFI by Rush Limbaugh leaving.

I am just curious if Coast will be left on KFI.  I believe that George's studio is directly there with KFI and has been since he started years, or a decade ago.  Not sure what will happen, if anything, but I just thought it was an interesting shuffle.

One thing about radio, it is never stagnant, there is change when you least expect it.
