This is what I mean.  They did not report a ton of what he actually did and it seemed that most made an attempt to cast any decisions they reported on in a positive light.  I really was not kidding when I said it will be nice to have a press that might actually report on what is happening.  They may not have been sleeping with Obama, but they were groupies hoping for the chance.

I agree, about the media being an honest broker or muckraker, but doubt it will be so. I could be wrong, I was before with the Trump election as a prime example. Interestingly it will be curious to see how it works? Is the media really bound to their leftist agenda and Democratic Party or will they, if given the opportunity, become Trump sycophants for access and ratings? Were their beliefs legitimate or just because Obama, Billary, etc and picking the side in power and who they thought in their bubble would win?

I think a better way to say it is that the press was delusional. They had an imperious president that wouldn't talk to them even though they were blindly following and supporting him despite his snubs. Then they supported an equally imperious successor that the Democratic establishment ordained to be the chosen one that also more or less ignored them. They supported her so much, I suspect, that everyone thought she would win easily and that lulled her voter base into a sense of false security and they didn't bother to turn out. Why go vote when the news tells you that she's a shoe in?

I agree. It all depends on how much of a crook he actually is. If he's a huge crook, he'll just disappear into privacy like Johnson or Nixon and hope no one looks into his private dealings.
