I wasn't expecting him to blame anyone, but I did expect him to not mention it, and he hasn't. The tax cuts will be wiped out (Even the $1.50 per week that Ryan was shrilling over) by inflation, interest rate rises and deficit.

I’m serious. When I had my SCI they told me everyone I talked to was a spy.

Absolutely.  Certain jobs on submarines require SCI clearance and mine was one of them.  I never feared that I would let something slip in a public setting because I would never let a conversation get anywhere near to what my particular duties were.   However, I was constantly on guard even to the point of being paranoid not to reveal anything to shipmates who all were cleared to one level or another but not for SCI.  It was not because I thought any of them were spies but because it was drilled into us that intelligence can be mined from anyone having even the most cursory, random and seemingly innocuous bit of information. Of course it was mostly because I thought doing hard time in a  federal penitentiary making little ones out of big ones would really suck.  It is only now after a good deal of time has passed that I am comfortable even acknowledging that I held an SCI clearance.

I'd let non-citizens work and stay in the country as long as they have a green card and proper papers.  However, unless they deny their allegiance to another country other than the US then they should never become citizens.  Other countries should do the same.  There will be times when loyalty will be tested and I for one don't want even a small fraction of citizens who might be more loyal to the land of their forefathers than they are of their adopted country.
