Unfortunately, our young have not been taught this by their brainwas.....er "educators".  :(
Which is why the Left, or to be honest any entity who wants societal change/control, goes after the family and education. Note how the agenda is to get the children earlier and earlier into a public school system or, failing that, into some kind of non-family institution- earlier and earlier. It reminds of how (I think this has changed) that the government even was pushing all the "formula" instead of breast-feeding. Call Me A Conspiracist but this idea to separate the child from the mother, dissolve the family, etc has been done with awful effect in Leftist countries. And also here and so-called  'capitalists' like the idea of no family structure- schools to make workers, two working parents needed to make 'ends meet' (which by basic economics means less wage level since more workers,) etc. (Hey, I almost sounded like Bernie in that last bit!  ;) )

And we know how much the welfare system has helped the family. Specifically designed to destroy the family. One of the few things the government is successful at.

I think your statement is wayyy out of order.
If anything is destroying families is the LGBTQ agenda -very young kids being brainwashed at schools about that shit...

We're not talking about that subject.  You are off-topic.  What he stated was indeed correct.

2. So now you are Bellgabb's Topic Police, right ?

3. I never said that he was not correct, I added another reason that families are being destroyed.
And I like you {or other geniuses here} to document and prove your stupid claim that Government is purposely destroying families.
    Do you even realize how stupid that statement is ?? {..I don't think you and other geniuses here do}

Healthcare is not a 'right' in the traditional sense we've used the term in the US..

As usual PB, you are long on opinion and short on the facts.

Precisely because people without the 'right' to healthcare were left to die due to the lack of insurance, or an inability to pay, our government stepped in to mandate a provision for emergency care and stabilization called EMTALA, signed into law by your boy Ronald Regan in 1986.

Congress passed EMTALA to eliminate the practice of "patient dumping," i.e., refusal to treat people because of inability to pay or insufficient insurance, or transferring or discharging emergency patients on the basis of high anticipated diagnosis and treatment costs. The law applies when an individual seeks treatment for a medical condition "or a request is made on the individual's behalf for examination or treatment for that medical condition."

According to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, 55% of U.S. emergency care now goes uncompensated. When medical bills go unpaid, health care providers must either shift the costs onto those who can pay or go uncompensated

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emergency_Medical_Treatment_and_Active_Labor_Act

So your nocare plan sends everyone to the ER, and as you can see from the data above, you end up paying for others' care anyway. It's a "safety net" full of holes.

There will be fallout from this GOP fiasco that failed to provide a replacement for the ACA. And as if that wasn't bad enough, Trump's stupid, divisive, and dangerous directive to let it die rubs salt in the gaping collective wound. He's nothing but a liability to his party, and the country.

Fortunately, there are a few legislators who still represent their constituents and do actually care what happens to healthcare in America. I hope Republican Senator Barbara Bollier is one who will lead the way and rally a bipartisan effort to bring essential, affordable healthcare to all Americans.

Did you notice the paragraph that clearly stated that the contract was not with Trump, but with a third party that owned that space?

The federal government has to pay fair market value for office space. Go back and check on the lease agreements that Biden had for providing the apartment above his garage to the secret service.

But let me demonstrate this for you WOTR {and for others triggered by it}...

How does this contradict anything I said?  If we give handouts to bums, we give handouts to bums.  Doesn't suddenly make it a human ''right'', it just means we are compassionate (or buying votes, or taking the easy way out instead of addressing the underlying problem).

Doesn't matter, especially with her.  Biden actually took money for housing his protection?  So what.  Trump can be involved somehow, no matter how distant - that's the narrative.

If we had enforced immigration laws over the last 30 years we wouldn't have had 20 million illegals flooding the ERs.

And the leaders name is redacted, so how do you know Trump doesn't make money off the deal?

The cost is significantly higher than the market rate in comparable buildings, with the Journal calling it "one of the most expensive residential rentals in Manhattan."

It might just point to the overall incompetence of government contracting officers. You know, the ones you expect to keep the health care costs down. Look at the 4th paragraph in the wsj article. They claim to have seen proof that Trump does not benefit.

Human rights and compassion shouldn't have to be legislated in today's America. It's a good thing though, one day the "bum" without healthcare could be you, me, or even a former legislator.

We weren't talking about any of that.  It was: is healthcare a universal human right, or not?  The answer is no, it isn't, universal human rights don't involve demands on others.

''Should'' we do what we can to help others?  Yes (especially those whose need is no fault of their own, imo).  Is that going to be legislated sometimes?  Apparently so.  But let's not get our terms confused based on emotionalism, especially when there is a worldwide movement to create a one-world, left-wing fascist dictatorship, and going along with such statements only helps them.  The UN declaring healthcare a basic human right is just one more step along their path.

Let's say healthcare is a basic human right.  We then have questions such as to what level?  Who decides who gets what?  Why would responsibility to deliver health care stop at our border in an impoverished world?  Do we have to let anyone into our country who needs medical attention, or claims to, and provide it to them?  Why aren't people responsible for providing for themselves on only this one aspect of life?

What about food, why isn't that also a basic human right?  What about shelter?  An income?  A car?  Education?  Clothing?  Entertainment?  Acceptance by others?  If any of these are also found to be basic human rights, at what level are we collectively required to provide them?  Who decides when these become ''rights'', because once one of them is successfully established as a ''right'', surely the others will follow?
