When Mrs Clinton was lying about the classified emails on her illegal unsecure server, trying to cover it all up, and refusing to hand over evidence for the investigation - the emails in question - Trump made an offhand joke about maybe we should ask the Russians for them.

Wow, some scandal right?  This whole Trump/Russia thing was always about covering for Hilary Clinton and her crimes and reputation.  But you already knew that.

"Yo, Hil. I've had my guy give your foundation $31 million. I had my other guy pay your husband $400,000 to give that speech in Moscow. Now we KNOW that was twice his going rate. Now Hil, that Uranium deal still has not gone through. Hil, I heard some guy named Guccifer may have hacked that server you keep in your house. Does anyone else know you don't use a .gov email account?  Where were we?  Oh yeah. Uranium. Reset. You're in Check. Mate in 3 moves. Thanks for playing the game Hil. Tell Bill I said Hi and if he wants some pictures of his last stay in my guy's hotel, tell him I have some doozies.

[Healthcare repeal]

This still needs to clear the Senate and be signed by the president.  It appears McCain and the rest are going to further water down the House bill, then it goes to House-Senate reconciliation.  The final reconciliation bill will end up being much closer to the Senate version.

This piece of crap barely cleared the House.  The Senate will change it in ways unacceptable to those who reluctantly voted for it in the House.  If the reconciliation bill passes the House and Senate, it will be because of very heavy-handed arm twisting.  We'll see if it does.

Please define ''Christian Jihadism''.    Please provide evidence of the ''record'' you mention that ''Christian Extremism'' was and is a threat to Western Civilization.

Please be specific instead of speaking in generalities - since no one knows what the hell you are talking about this would be more persuasive if you provided examples.  Since we're talking about a major threat to our civilization, and not merely some disagreement over a policy or piece of legislation, you ought to be able to list, say, ten specific examples that any reasonable person could agree on.  I'd like to see them.

We're waiting, Miser.

Last time I asked you to explain something, it was why you were so sure Trump was a Russian agent.  Your response about him fitting a made up profile was so stupid it was laughable.  This is a chance to somewhat redeem yourself.

This site has an infestation of pedos, I will grant you that. I am not the first to note that.

Fathers pick up on this sort of predation. It's honed instinct. Being a celibate shut-in who posts on this site 150 times a day, you might not quite understand.

BTW, weren't you arguing some stupid moral equivalence about Muslim pedophilia because there have been Christian pedophiles too?!  ::) ;D

Meister and other so called progressives who post on this thread are as entrenched in their bigotry as any white racists I have ever encountered.  Meister detests believers in general and Christians in particular.  He and others will settle for nothing less than unconditional approval of their anything goes philosophy and brand those who don't as being "phobic" with respect to whatever it is that they are advocating and attempting to foist on the population.  It's not enough that one generally takes a live and let live position on matters of personal choice, they work hard to surpress any expression of concern that, taken beyond a certain point, some practices and behaviors infringe on the rights of others and are destructive to society.

It seems that the self worth of the leftists among us is so dependent on their adherence to the socialist tenets that their indoctrination has instilled in them that they reject out of hand any facts or reasoning that tends to show that the basis for their cherished beliefs are fallacious.  Indeed, how could they possibly abandon their moral relativism and pious insistence that individual freedoms (as opposed to unrestricted license to do whatever makes one feel good) and the ability of each citizen to rise in life as far as his abilities and drive will take him is less important than moving towards a socialist  system. They hang on to their neo marxist philosophy despite ample evidence that what they propose as something that will have a levelizing effect on society will only serve to disincentivise personal growth and innovation and encourage indolence.  Any levelizing that takes place will involve the descent of many more members of the middle class to a lower socioeconomic strata.  But, everyone would be guaranteed free medical care and a cell phone.

Refuting the shit you post is getting to be something of a guilty pleasure for me because it's so damn easy.

You lame putz. You have never, ever, successfully refuted or won a single confrontation or individual point with me yet. Linking to (UK) exit-pole data and analysis from 6-2016 is just fucking stupid. The Brits did not even *BEGIN* to realize what hit them till 6 MONTHS LATER, and now, only within the last 3 months (Feb, March, April 2017) have the final investigative links been made. The woman who's story I linked to this morning, Carole Cadwalladr writing for the Guardian, is almost single-handedly responsible for uncovering and publicly exposing (in the UK, for the UK public) the UK related parts (meaning Brexit) of the larger GLOBAL story puzzle and attack on Democracy carried out by the Far Right Nationalist-Republican Christofascist cabal. In todays installment she added another HUGE bit to the map, the links to the previously unknown Candian office/branch of Mercer's Cambridge Analytica, "AggregateIQ" and Chris Wylie -- this I know and can recognize because I've been following her work for some time (she began only in *Dec* 2016).

Though you have a point about data-mining and analysis to micro-target key voters and districts with regard to politics. Though you don't mention, that many say this was a big reason Obama got elected- besides the obvious anti-Bush, white-guilt, want-to-be-a-part-of-history, etc stuff. At the time the RNC and the "right" was criticized for not being up to speed on the technical side. No surprise that they learned a lesson and fought back using those tools and ideas.

Also, for anybody who is upset, it should be noted that our federal parties have been keeping notes and databases on you if you are dumb enough to answer your door to the scum who appears on your threshold during the elections.  If you don't think that the party knows who you plan on supporting and if they should target you to volunteer or donate, think again.

It is beyond laughable to think that somebody is surprised that big data and targeted persuasion may have played a part in any recent vote... Hell, the below is from Canada (where we still have a little more expectation to privacy than most of the other world citizens.)

CONSERVATIVE
"...It goes into a database, and we'll be able to generate lists," Ambler explains, leaving Alan's doorstep. Alan here will be on the list of people who care about the environment. So let's say the prime minister makes an announcement about the environment. We'll make sure we tell Alan."

LIBERALS
"Trailing her is volunteer assistant Jeff Jedras, armed with an iPad and the MiniVAN app. At every door, he keys in who's in support, undecided or against the Liberals; their preferred language; the issues most important to each voter; and whether they'll take a lawn sign or agree to volunteer."

Gee, it seems like it is not only the evil Conservative Christofascist's pulling this shit.

Pay attention boy â€" this is not buisness-as-usual.

“That was before we became this dark, dystopian data company that gave the world Trump,” a former Cambridge Analytica employee who I’ll call Paul tells me. “It was back when we were still just a psychological warfare firm.”

Was that really what you called it, I ask him. Psychological warfare? “Totally. That’s what it is. Psyops. Psychological operations â€" the same methods the military use to effect mass sentiment change. It’s what they mean by winning ‘hearts and minds’. We were just doing it to win elections in the kind of developing countries that don’t have many rules.”

Why would anyone want to intern with a psychological warfare firm, I ask him. And he looks at me like I am mad. “It was like working for MI6. Only it’s MI6 for hire. It was very posh, very English, run by an old Etonian and you got to do some really cool things. Fly all over the world. You were working with the president of Kenya or Ghana or wherever. It’s not like election campaigns in the west. You got to do all sorts of crazy shit.”

"Google’s algorithm had been gamed by extremist sites and it was Jonathan Albright, a professor of communications at Elon University, North Carolina, who helped me get to grips with what I was seeing. He was the first person to map and uncover an entire “alt-right” news and information ecosystem and he was the one who first introduced me to Cambridge Analytica.

He called the company a central point in the right’s “propaganda machine”, a line I quoted in reference to its work for the Trump election campaign and the referendum Leave campaign. That led to the second article featuring Cambridge Analytica â€" as a central node in the alternative news and information network that I believed Robert Mercer and Steve Bannon, the key Trump aide who is now his chief strategist, were creating. I found evidence suggesting they were on a strategic mission to smash the mainstream media and replace it with one comprising alternative facts, fake history and rightwing propaganda."

"Then I meet Paul, the first of two sources formerly employed by Cambridge Analytica. He is in his late 20s and bears mental scars from his time there. “It’s almost like post-traumatic shock. It was so… messed up. It happened so fast. I just woke up one morning and found we’d turned into the Republican fascist party. I still can’t get my head around it.”

Yeah, I know.  On the spot exit polling is not reliable.  The anonymous sources that Carole Cadwalladr (sic) relies on get their information from a renowned sooth sayer and alchemist who leaves them messages written backwards and inside out on the walls of public restrooms.

How can you tell an exit-pole from an entrance pole?

I'm sorry.  I should know that the Liberal headquarters will be filled with well meaning, harmless kinds who would not use the data gathered and phychology to engage in anything questionable.  Kind of makes you wonder why your privacy commissioner is not allowed to peak into the files, doesn't it?

I will also note that I know two people who were employed at a charity who have been diagnosed with PTSD after suffering abuse from "management."

I don't think it is right- I just cannot feign shock that there is a company using the data that we idiots willingly give companies to influence political and economic events to benefit themselves at our expense. Excuse me while I go paste my support of my political party of choice while I comment on government policy on my facebook page.  I'm sure that is a harmless act.
