And college? Don't make me laugh. Everyone knows the best doctors, scientists and engineers are Muslims, Hindus and Asians

Doctors don't learn their trade at Universities.... they learn it at a Medical School. That's their trade. Trade schools are not the same as Universities bty. And Engineers are not gaming the system. We just need schools to learn a trade. No more funding for ANY Liberal Arts. You want to be artist... then go and suffer for it, the old fashioned way!!
And the burden of college loan debt is not the suffering I'm talking about.

Great trades will make America Great Again. Donald knows this.

We don't need brick & mortar Universities anymore. Just high speed access to the internet!!!! And smartphone to get your shift schedule... at the coal mine!!  :D

Scientists.... what, for more Fake Science?? No Thanks!!

In his first official telegram to Trump in January, Pope Francis said:

“Under your leadership, may America’s stature continue to be measured above-all by its concern for the poor, the outcast and those in need.”

That's odd.  I thought America was a horrible, racist place, built on slavery.

Maybe how our country is portrayed by the Left is situational?

Speaking aboard his papal plane in February of 2016, Pope Francis was asked about Trump’s proposal. He told reporters:
.”

When you start believing everything the pope says about the New Testament, you can start preaching to me about what he says about Trump. OK?

Francis stressed that he wasn’t trying to tell Americans how to vote.

“I am not going to get involved in that,” he said. But he added: “I would only say that this man is not Christian if he has said things like that.”

I love this leftist types always spouting off while on their private planes. Quite a carbon footprint this pope has! Hope he picks up a few "refugees" from his visit in Egypt and takes them into the Vatican. And no "kids" but the "children" that come to Europe or here- like 18yr+ fighters who won't be some kid to be used"in the rectory" but taking nuns or priests by force. See how he likes it. Maybe then he will regain some sanity with regard to the situation(s.)

He's 80.  If he was going to get a clue, he'd have it by now.

There is a weird vibe with this pope, even more so than others. He is seeking outreach to the far left, the Muslims, the "refugees," odd interpretations of scripture and doctrine, ignoring, or making easy comments, on Christians around the world under attack, etc. "Not Good," to quote a phrase. I am not a papist but even to me he seems a weirdo with something wicked up his sleeve.

According to the Prophecy of Malachy, is this supposed to be the last Pope?

One can get into the weeds on this*. But, according to some, yeah. But, besides the obvious caveats (!,) the reckoning to connect Francis to "Peter the Roman" prediction seems to be, a bit, tenuous. But then again, of course, we won't know until Art tells us what the 3rd secret of Fatima was as told to him by Father Martin who was told by the then pope (this Malachi not related to the prophecy of Malachy guy.)  ;)

*there hasn't been a "real" Pope for some decades, maybe even centuries.  ;)

For your white supremacist scrapbook. Future Doctors and Scientists and Engineers, oh my! Not a coal miner or factory worker in the bunch

Why do you hate the middle class?! They're only the engine of any healthy economy. No, you side with the wealthy who are trying to eliminate them and make everyone poor instead.  ::)

Your profound ignorence (no really, it is up there wth Trump saying China invented climate change) is almost (but not quite) quaint. Medical schools are affiliated to (go on, guess?) Universities. They're a department within, and in the UK at least, affiliated to a hospital, usually called (go on, guess again?) "University hospitals".

Of course, I have to claim recieved authority on this because my ex wife is a doctor, and she; in her various ramblings about dumb 'scientific' shit, such as medicine, gave me a run down about what is involved before becoming a doctor: First day at uni apparently was a visit to a mortuary to witness a corpse being disected. But I digress. After five years of that, there's another four or five years of clerkships, moving up to the heady heights of 80 plus hour weeks, and the rank of SHO, before deciding whether to continue with the Senda's of the world or go into general practice, and still see the Senda's of the world.

I see that Trump stated in the company of the Australian PM, that Australia has a better health service than the US. Which sounds outrageous until you realise that pretty much any nation that has a box of sticking plaster has a better health service than the US, and cheaper to run.

Pip pip my gorgeous, beautiful, loving disciples.

PS.
Oh K of K; You're more idiotic than I initially believed. You pulled a fast one, I thought I had you taped, but no; You excelled in your incredible stupidity. Keep at it.

Till next time babes.

Gee, in a market driven capitalist society, it sounds like an opportunity for someone to open more ER's then.....

....creating more jobs for Americans.

#MAGA

High overhead, heavily regulated (life or death), mostly non-profit ERs don't thrive in a competitive capitalist market as do, say, retail goods like clothes, shoes and handbags. Especially when you bypass America and take advantage of cheap overseas labor like the Trumps. But go ahead, and good luck running a for-profit ER under the GOP's AHCA. Haha.

In the last 8-10 years there have been hundreds of emergency care/urgent care clinics set up down here in the Houston area. I have never been to one, but it seems there is one in every strip mall.

I always wondered what the market force was for the influx of these clinics. We used to have a few urgent care clinics around that catered more to the numerous chemical plants, but I always figured those were tied to different companies safety programs and work man's comp.

Does California have these?

LOTS ER clinics here, some even in nice neighborhoods with serious capacity or, at least, admitting docs to other full hospitals.  But lots of minor care stuff for routine stuff, for cash even. Opening all over. Brand new hospitals also by the lakes and good areas- actually having to build housing for staff! And downtown new Med School.  This could be less profitable. And I cant say how many private "women's health", plastic and dermo, and physical rehab (and other.)

Not that I know of, but my latin is limited. There might be some proviso or bull, by the Jesuits (or who knows what groups) to keep whatever pope inline?   ;)
