2005 tax returns are so eleven years ago. Top U.S. News Stories of 2005:

George W. Bush is officially sworn in for his second term as president (Jan. 20).  oh goody  ::)

In his State of the Union address, President Bush announces his plan to reform Social Securitiy (Feb. 2). Despite months of campaigning, his plan receives only a lukewarm reception. Republicans. Always trying to screw with Social Security. Them are still fightin' words for my grandma and she'll shoot you in the face

The Terry Schiavo case becomes the focus of an emotionally charged battle in Congress (March 20). Poor brain dead lady made a pawn by the Republicans to prove ... something

President Bush signs the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA), which will remove trade barriers between the U.S. and Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua (Aug. 2). WTF? Wasn't W. initiating NAFTA bad enough?

Hurricane Katrina wreaks catastrophic damage on the Gulf coast; more than 1,000 die and millions are left homeless. Americans are shaken not simply by the magnitude of the disaster but by how ill-prepared all levels of government are in its aftermath. (Aug. 25-30).  horrible

I will enjoy collecting my SS check, if it still exists when I retire.  But it will supplement my savings..  Seems to me that Americans don't do enough to ensure their own security or survival.  Perhaps Granny should have saved more for her golden years?

Hurricane Katrina, again, seems to me that Americans don't do enough to ensure their own security or survival.

And only two pages of a millionaire's tax return is like only two sentences in a great novel; all the important information is in the middle

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair…

[ ... a bunch of important stuff happens ... ]

‘It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known.’"

So someone "leaked" Trump's 2005 1040 tax form. Without the supplemental forms to back up the information.  Two dried up crumbs. Can't wait to find out what was in the full tax filings for the last ten years. Between the Russian and wiretapping investigations this will all come out ... finally

Glad you are set up well for your golden years, Gunny. You are going to need Social Security and Medicare to cover your medical expenses from all that pud pulling

I use Argan oil.

My Golden years are, at best, Silver, closer to Stainless Steel.  Although, I prep as if tomorrow it all goes to hell.

So why doesn't Trump just release his tax returns and put us in our place? Like every president since Nixon? Who btw was under audit when he released them.

And while he's at it he can release the wiretapping evidence. So we can all get back to hating on important stuff like Trumpcare

Have you truthfully ever had a conversation with an adult in person that had a pulse? Be honest now.

She's been in a relationship for years apparently, but why does it matter she's a lesbian? Maybe its because all you have to counter what she's saying and will continue to say?

Yeah, that'll be it. ;D

Counter what?! That Trump probably paid too much tax 12 years ago? I'll leave you to celebrate your "victory" then.  ::)

Hey if I had to leak my taxes, I'd show a year I actually paid. Wouldn't you?  ;)

If you don' have good health care you are screwed or waiting to be. Due to a "pre-existing condition my wife had none, and was diagnosed with stage 4 Uterine Cancer. In short, we were paying a fortune out of pocket, til the ACA came along and saved her life.  Every time I look at her with her, healthy, with her long hair grown back, I think "you bastards, why can't you work together to find a compromise that might work. I'll pay more than my share. But no...without good health care you are screwed, or waiting to be...

I'm sorry to hear about your wife, Route 66. I hope she has made a full recovery. I hear stories like this all the time. It's hard to believe a country like ours with such wealth, wants to do so little for the most vulnerable. The billionaires and millionaires in power have no problem doling out public welfare to their own banks and corporations, but subsidized health care for the poor, working class, and elderly are still considered "entitlements".

Hope things continue to improve for her. The Trumpers will ignore your post though.

I think Granny probably did a better job at saving than subsequent generations have. Most Baby Boomers usually had solid retirement savings plans and even pensions, which seem to be a thing of the past. The corporation my daughter works for doesn't offer any savings plan to their employees. Meanwhile, the stock market has proved to be a risky place for ones retirement savings. Then there's this. In addition to healthcare, basic costs of living, including housing and automobiles are becoming cost-prohibitive for many working class Americans.

Let's review some history regarding this, shall we?

Q: Who was one of the biggest proponents of globalism and the job killing NAFTA agreement?
A: Bill Clinton
Q: Who repealed Glass-Stiegel, effectively setting up the conditions for the next financial crisis?
A: Bill Clinton
Q: Who did Timothy Geitner say foamed the runway for the too big to fail banks after the last financial crisis, allowing them to foreclose on even more properties at an even faster rate?
A: Barrack Obama

I hope that helps.  :)

Let's not forget that Maddow went all in on this shit show and hyped it to the hilt beforehand. When delivering this blockbuster news story her affect changed to that of a stunned rodent when she realized that her journalistic coup amounted to three pieces of paper containing mundane and hardly surprising information.  I'm wondering how she'll spin the fact that her best efforts have resulted in a net gain for Trump and a blizzard of ridicule directed at her and MSNBC.
