If I remember correctly, the criminal broke into the agents car in downtown SF and stole it. 

The agent was raked over the coals because it wasn't properly secured inside the car.  Right after that there were at least 3 or 4 guns stolen from various law enforcement official's cars around here, and several since - a couple police in various area towns and cities, an off-duty cop, a cop visiting from out of town, a sheriff, someone from one of the park districts...  Fucking ridiculous

They should be sanctioned and pensions taken away and allowed for the civil lawsuit- no sovereign immunity for them or for sanctuary city SF who, should be able to be sued for not properly prosecuting the illegal. (That would be unique!  )

Believe it or not, not too long ago a  Capital Hill Policemen was suspended for leaving his gun in the men's Room.

I also recall when I was still working in the D.C. area a female guard in some federal building while on watch at night somehow got her pistol cocked.  Not knowing how to uncock it she proceeded to take it into a head, point it into a toilet bowl and pull the trigger which of course resulted in lot of flying porcelin and water.

About 15 years ago a San Francisco jury found a woman guily of second degree murder because her dogs got out and mauled a woman to death. She had no intention of harming that woman and didn’t wield the “weapon” but was found guilty. The judge overruled that verdict.

Too bad a judge cannot overrule an acquittal.

I think the name of the defendant was Knoller.

Sessions should charge the illegal for criminal possession of of a federal firearm.  That should put him away for awhile in the Federal pen and then when he's done, put him on a plane, give him a parachute, and drop him.  Make sure to tell him not to forget to pull the cord.  It would be a damn shame if it malfunctioned.

Not related, maybe. But driving home I thought I heard the news say the vic was blind. I could've misheard and "struck blind" or something. But was id's as "Mexican"- which I thought odd as if vic was blind. But seeing the story "change" online news sites it is weird. Statesman eliminated "The victim told police she did not get a good look at the suspect and can only describe him as a Hispanic male."

Keep in mind the Hyde Park area is a very nice area, or used to be, and the only issues we usually had was drunk college kids (me, maybe,) homeless that sometimes would go up (but cops usually keep in check,) and over parking and such. There were a few rapists in history and a serial 'tire slasher" also. And a few killings. But so close to campus and oddball teachers/students....

Judging by the number of us awake and posting at 1:50 AM EST it would seem that the not guilty verdict has a number of us exercised.  I hope that’s and indication of the mood of the Nation and that it drives the changes in border control and Immigration policy that are needed.

That was quite the story, and went on for months.  That lady became public enemy number one.

The victim was a soccer coach at an all women's college, and lived on the same floor as the woman, her husband, and the two dogs.  The two dogs were both presa canarios, and had previously attacked smaller dogs in the neighborhood.  The husband was apparently the only one who could control them, and he was out of town that day.  The dogs came out of their apartment and chased the victim down when she got off the elevator.  She died on her doorstep.

Turned out the husband and wife were both scumbag lawyers, and had adopted an inmate and client after he had been sentenced to life imprisonment.  (That was when we found out people can be adopted as adults.)  The inmate was a white supremist, and ran a dog fighting scheme from prison.  The couple may have been afraid of him.  He told them to get these two dogs and raise them, but that they belonged to him (the inmate).

I'm a little hazy on the details - if I remember correctly both the husband and wife were given jail time - one for keeping dogs that were a known danger, and the other for allowing them out knowing she couldn't contol them.  They divorced at some point and both relocated after prison.

The victim happened to be a lesbian, and lived with her partner.  I wondered at the time if all these details would have been reported, and the media whipped up all that rage, if she had not been or if it had been some straight white male.
