I'm a little gunshy about polls since that November thing, but shall we take the pulse of America?

Poll: Independent investigation needed on Russia

A telephone poll of 1,000 registered voters, taken Wednesday through Sunday, has a margin of error of plus or minus three percentage points.

By an overwhelming 2-1, 63%-31%, Americans see the issue of Moscow's meddling in the presidential election as a serious issue. Close to half call it "very serious;" just one in five dismiss it as "not at all serious."

By 58%-35%, those surveyed support an independent inquiry, - USA Today

It would be interesting to see how the poll questions were worded.

Did they state that there was meddling when asking the question?
Did they state that the FBI was already investigating to see if meddling actually occurred?

What is an independent inquiry? Does the FBI investigation qualify as an independent inquiry?  If so, that is already occurring.

really? that's what you got out of that?

why do you hate words?
that's a great phrase. it's a real thing. it makes you notice things you didn't before.

words have meanings. lurk more.

I don't know, Jim. Maybe it's all those years of taking LSD that's got you confused. ;)

It's OK! We know you'd never let facts get in the way of your ideology. You even make fun of a dead Navy SEAL and his grieving widow for that.  ::)

Trump is president I believe. If there was a wiretap classified as confidential he has the power to have it declassified and released. Which I'm sure with he will right after he releases his tax returns

Only the Original Classification Authority or his successor can downgrade or remove a security classification.  Since Trump wasn't in office when this spying commenced he could not be the original classifier.  The hell of it is that declassification of the material would necessarily compromise government secrets and intelligence gathering methods and human assets.  Yet another specious assertion on your part.

Thanks for your opinion but I disagree and her own posts prove me right. Plus, she's a La Raza operative and would like nothing better than to bring the country you seem to love down.  ;)

With the exception of the last election, I dare say that you and she had very similar voting records.

I had absolutely no beef with her until recently when she decided to indulge in her little passive/aggressive games here. After the election she's refused to respond to any of my posts but WILL refer to me and talk about me in her posts. That's shitty enough but whatever, I could let it slide. However, then she come a trollin about dead Navy SEALs and their widows and thinks she being really fucking cute and that we'll all just think she's great. I don't anymore and will continue to let her know that REGARDLESS of how many people it bugs here. You're annoyed by my posts? Good! Get off yer ass and do something to make the world less crazy. Stop tolerating stupid bitches like this because you think you're being chivalrous. It's not helping her and it's making your world more full of people like her in it.  ::)

At this point I wish he'd actually tried banning Muslimsâ€"new visas, not existing ones.  It'd fail based on the 1965 act, of course, but might generate a little momentum for changing that.

On the plus side, he's clearly playing ball and not interested in provoking a constitutional crisisâ€"remember that?  Y'all can put yer pieces away hahaha

Can Trump Disclose Classified Information Whenever He Wants?
Trump, as commander-in-chief, does have the power to declassify information about national security matters at his whim, legal experts say.

If Trump Tower Was Wiretapped Trump Can Declassify That Right Now
IF IN FACT Trump Tower was wiretapped during the 2016 presidential campaign, as President Trump claimed in several tweets Saturday morning, he can do much more than say so on twitter: Presidents have the power to declassify anything at any time, so Trump could immediately make public any government records of such surveillance.

So much posturing.  From what we know so far, this turns on the question of whether monitoring a Russian server in Trump Tower, perhaps hoping to pick up something useful by accident, is the same as tapping Trump's phone.  Obviously it's not, but it doesn't exactly seem innocent, either.

So brave! Just so brave in your positions! So, essentially, maybe yes, maybe no but Trump probably bad. Got it!  ::)

P.S. You should always end by letting people know just how much you really want to go down on Obama.  ;) ;)

Trump doesn't believe he was tapped either. Poor cow was sent out to try and defend him saying he believed he may have been possibly tapped. But that isn't what his tweets said. He seemed pretty certain. He'll have found another shiny thing to rant about on saturday, so he can forget about phone taps.

He got it added to the scope of the committees' investigations so they're not just looking at him and Russia.  It isn't 4D chess, but it is chess.

Part 3 - Declassification and Downgrading

Sec. 3.1. Authority for Declassification. (a) Information shall be declassified as soon as it no longer meets the standards for classification under this order.
(b) Information shall be declassified or downgraded by:

What you and the Bozo who wrote this article are missing is "declassified as soon as it no longer meets the standards for classification under this order".   If it could be declassified it should've been by now.  If it no longer meets the standards for classification why did Obama not declassify it instead of issuing  directives increasing the number of persons that could access it and thereby ensure that selected parts of it would be leaked. Why didn't Loretta Lynch declassify it.   You and this article don't pass the giggle test.  You are the one who doesn't answer posts when someone catches you pedaling shit not I.

Everything on her terms, this is the left's strategy. She can communicate with you but you're not allowed to with her. She wants you to listen to her "ideas" but refuses to listen to yours....but I'm a bad guy for pointing out what a piece of shit she is.  ::)

Now if he can only work Clinton's and Podesta's ties to to Russians, including $145 million for the Clinton Foundation into the investigation, that would be grand.

All the noise and the only real evidence I can find between presidential candidates and the Russians all seem to involve the Clintons.
