A report by Republicans on the House Armed Services Committee also said no restrictions were placed on a military response.

I doubt that Panetta's claim is any more or less 'spin' than the spin from the Bush Administration that the attacks on U.S embassies (and consulates) during his administration were 'surprise attacks.'

You say that I'm the biased one, but I'm trying to look at the evidence fairly whereas you're clearly believing everything you want not based on any evidence but based on your hyper-partisan lens.

For instance, if the attacks on the U.S embassies (and consulates) were surprise attacks that nothing could be done to prevent, why can't I find any reports of any 'surprise attacks' on similar U.S foreign installations during Hillary Clinton's time as Secretary of State?

3.IMDB ratings aren't scientific and almost certainly include a large amounts of the votes of conservatives who all gave the film a 10/10.

I don't know, maybe they thought it would be the #1 movie of the year in Russia.

Rush Limbaugh lies that he has 20 million regular listeners, but a $52 million box office take would mean maybe 5-6 million Americans went to see it.

The movie The 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi is based on the 'alternate' account of what happened and has been largely discredited.

1.So what if they were surprise attacks?  Either the embassies were defended or they weren't. 

2.I also can't find any other evidence other than Benghazi of U.S embassies being attacked during Hillary Clinton's time as Secretary of State.  Maybe I just haven't looked hard enough, but I do find it odd that it's possible no 'surprise attacks' occurred during her time as Secretary.

I don't know why she didn't initially tell the truth about that.  I don't know how that makes her 'incompetent.'

At the time both explanations were regarded as possible, the fog of war and all that, but apparently in Hillary Clinton's emails she herself says she didn't believe the video had anything to do with it.

Given that sometimes people in her position sometimes have to lie in foreign policy matters, I really don't know what it says about her, if anything.

Like I said, this was not really a political movie.  it was basically about the guys who tried to do the right thing at Benghazi but were up against terrible odds.  When it comes to movies, I'm not all that political.  I simply like a good story and this movie had a good story and it was filmed well.   I don't measure IMDB's ratings with a political bent.

Diane Reynolds is a pseudonym HRC used for Chelsea in her email system. On the day of the Benghazi attacks HRC told her daughter that the attacks and the death of Amb Stevens was due to a terrorist attack by a group linked to Al Qaeda. I don't feel like digging through wikileaks to find it, but it is there.

I'm not a fan of Hillary but lets face it, she came out ahead in last night's debate.  Trump's amygdala kicked in about 10 min into the debate and it was all over for him.  Every person I've talked to today (surprise, even Republicans!) thought he looked ill-prepared.  Of course there will be the Trump followers who see him in a golden light even in his lizard brain mode, but they live in the same fantasy world he does.

Those that keep harping on "more of the same" with Hillary need to get a clue.  Overall, Americans still have the best quality of life on the planet.  Whiners complaining about inflation, poor infrastructure, etc, should step outside your comfort zone and do a bit of traveling.  You'll come home with an attitude adjustment and be grateful you live in the good 'ol U.S. of A. 

It frightens me that the dictators of the world want to see Trump elected president.  They can't wait to exploit his lack of knowledge, experience, and buffoonery.  The fact that he plans to put his family members in his administration is another big red flag.  The chaos/anarchy crowd (which BellGab seems to attract) are still a fringe minority who can hope and dream all they want on Election Day, but I predict reason will prevail and Trump will end up a sad footnote in our history books.

I saw a great interview with Gore Vidal (I think) and he was one of the screenwriters on Ben Hur. They thought it would add some interesting subtext to have the guy who played Messala play it as if he and Ben Hur were former lovers. The actor asked if they were letting Heston in on this plan and they said, "God, no! He'd freak!" Anyway, if you watch the scene where they meet again as adults for the first time you can really see it that guys eyes. he's really selling it! Heston's oblivious. That one still makes me laugh.

I would have more sympathy for your argument if it weren't for the fact that Obama and Hillary have basically acted like dictators themselves and that, as a result, our country is becoming more and more like the 3rd world nations you say we contrast with.

Personally, in my household, we thought Trump could have done better.  I thought he defended himelf adequately but he really needed to go on offense.  Hillary handled herself very well and her voice did not grate on me as much as it usually does.  She did have a little help from good old Les though.  Still, she did come across a bit as someone who thinks her destiny is to be President, come hell or high water.  I personally don't like either of them but I guess I'll be stuck once again biting my tongue when I hit the voting booth.  I feel the same way I did in 2008 when McCain was running.

There were over 40 protests going on around the world, at or around the time of the Benghazi attack, over that same video, including in Libya. The guy we captured who instigated the attack said he was motivated by the video. That anyone initially linked the attack to a protest ever the video is not at all controversial. We learned this because the Benghazi attack is the most congressionally investigated event in all of US history. All of the eight congressional investigations cleared Hillary of any wrongdoing, and these are the same Republican clowns who admitted the Benghazi hearings were politically motivated.

At this point it's equivalent to jet fuel melting steel beams.
