It does -- I agree. 

Of course, there is all kinds of conjecture as there always will be.  Her husband objected to an autopsy - but the man is JEWISH.  Not wanting his wife's body "desecrated" doesn't necessarily mean anything other than that he's a grieving husband falling back on his spiritual roots.

A heart attack at 32 is weird - particularly for a woman (yes, heart failure is the leading cause of death in women, but they are mostly post menopausal women).  I do hope they declare it "just one of those things."  The woman is gone - who needs a media circus?

This actress played a number of rolls - but was frighteningly good at disturbed young girls. (Yet nothing I ever saw of her as herself suggested that she was like any of these characters)

In the '60 - and into the '70s it was common for young women (sometimes men) who simply did not "fit in" to be hospitalized - if they were solidly middle class enough to have the insurance or wealthy enough to have the money.  Cambridge MA has a famous hospital of this type.  James Taylor, and most of the Vonnegut family spent time there.

Murphy's character here is Daisy, who, like most of the girls in this institution, are not really crazy - they are trying to cope with crazy situations they don't understand.  Daisy is a fairly average girl who would likely have become a high-priced personal assistant to some businessmen under other circumstances.  But, her father, a successful grocer, has been sexually molesting her for a very long time.  Her peers now it - the medical staff seems to not know it.

Daddy gets her a nice little apartment of her own when the hospital says she can leave.  All the better to have his dear daughter to himself.

Two of the other patients feom the hospital escape, and visit her at her new apartment.

You might remember her as the voice of "Luann," Hank's niece on King of the Hill.  She really got around but I hardly recognized her because she always looked like a different person in her various movie roles.  Guess that means she was a pretty good actress.
