Yep, it is crazy that they never learn and then want to initiate the same type of policies that forced them to move from NYC, California, etc. It amazes me that these Democrats seem to think raising taxes will solve a problem of capital (and personal) flight. I imagine the policy meetings:
"Ok, everybody we are losing our tax-base because businesses, corporations, rich people, and middle-class folks are fleeing. Even working class folks are moving elsewhere. Ideas?" 

"Why don't we raise taxes?" 
"How about granting sanctuary to poor, uneducated illegal immigrants- that will encourage more people to replace those who left?"

"People, what about releasing some violent felons from our prisons?" 

"Let's expand social services to give free meals to everyone and sexual reassignment hormone drugs to school children!" 

"Defund the police- use that money to provide condoms, portapotties, needles, and hand-sanitizer to junkies and rioters who are camping on the streets. People are retiring anyway- we don't need them!"
