Ian Punnet had no agenda. And I truly wonder if his belief system is such that he won't entertain the notion of aliens. He doesn't try to steer every other thing his guests say back to conspiracie or aliens the way Noory does and he's an actual interviewer, not just someone trying to get the guests to say what he wants them to like Noory. It's exhausting. I wish he'd do more of his cryptonews and email and i used to love his Night Watchman thing but I think he was at first a little overwhelmed by doing a weekly show. He's still the best one there though.

Glad you liked it.  I would say that this is pretty typical of Ian over the last year or so.  Sure, he has the odd stinker (the horse guy), but overall, I think he has had a pretty good run since 2009.  He recently did a very good show about offshore banking, and last year did a couple of great shows about the Kensington runestone - JC even called in on one of those.  I'll see if I have them and post them here if you like.

UPDATE:  After seeing the cease and desist notice MV posted, I will not post them.  They are available to stream link subscribers, and a dilligent search f the web might turn them up as well (but for how long?), but as MV suggested, you might not be inclined to spend money with the suits who run Coast.

I dunno about anyone else but I was never interested in listening to anyone but bell. I have subscribed in the past, hell I even subscribed to that frikken mess they call a newsletter for a year but the little they had seen from me wont return.

While I certainly won't argue with MV's logic about cancelling my streamlink subscription,  I am a bit conflicted.  Companies tend to listen to their customers more than ex or non customers, and as I actually quite like all of the C2C hosts EXCEPT Noory, paying for the subscription and only downloading those shows is a way of communicating that fact, and positively rewarding the company for having more and more non-noory shows on - which, over the last couple of months, is an absolute fact.   There has been less Noory, and more Ian, George K., and now Simone and hopefully Wells, and maybe others.  This is a good thing.  Having Art on would be better, but it is still an improvement.  Withdrawing my business now, just as things are getting better (IMHO), might be counter productive.

Having said that, I am pissed off at them for strong arming Michael, and for the way the matter with Art has been handled (if some of the rumours are true, that is).

Bingo MV, while I subscribed I wrote several emails to C2C and clear channel. Guess What I got in reply... didly squat. Not even a thanks for your interest. From my experience they care very little about any intelligent (ok my conceit) input.

Actually, because of my schedule, I am not able to listen to C2C very much anymore. But I used to listen all the time when I was a teenager and in college.

I like Ian okay -- He seems to me more of a 'once-in-a-while' host, though. I'm not sure he would fit 5 days a week.

Me, too! Listening to Ian is like a form of slow torture.

I'll have to say he has improved, BUT if someone points that out, he acts insulted and gets a little pissy to the caller.

Anyone who calls their kids (or used to) "Itchy" and "Scratchy" and thinks it's funny is a definite turn-off to me.

Ian is scaling back for health reasons, so he sure isn't going full time.  Besides, that's a model that so far represents shoes to big to fill.  Nobody can do it and sustain the energy.  They are already looking for a new guy to fill the void left by Art.  Ian can't ramp up to do it, so hopefully we'll hear some new hosts.

I was really sad to hear Ian was cutting back on Coast shows. I look forward to his shows. Ian is a major factor in the continuation of my streamlink membership. His interview with Will Elliot was superb. He did a really great interview last year with the author of a book about scientology. More recently, Ian did a show with Chris Guillebeau on "Non-Conformaty" that is good listen, and "Are Sports Fixed?" was good too. He even did a show on "Church Abuse Scandals" I could go on. Despite what others think, he does do some Paranormal shows. I would love to see him do those EVP shows that Art did, those shows creep me out. Its seems that they're looking at bringing in that Rob Simone guy. He did a show before the new year, and will be doing another on friday.

The other thing that I notice about Ian that I like is that he shares his personal life in a relaxed, friendly matter-of-fact way without IMHO a lot of egotism.  For example, this is a show about weird and paranormal and the host has a foot that has "gone south" to be delicate about it--oh, what the hell--it was getting necrotic and itching/stinking to high heaven.  He was right and the doctors were wrong.  I related because a similar thing happened to me some years ago and when they took off the cast to look, here was this large hematoma in my instep, getting infected.  They had to drain it.  People--I complained for two weeks that something was wrong and they paid no attention.

So sharing the human condition and what we all go through in life.  Whereas, I think of Noory as being a kind of cardboard guy, a media creation who is so guarded about his life that you have to wonder, does he get a lot of death threats?

@Ana ... those stats are a bunch of crap that Ed Dames made up.  he does all the market research for Coast.  his numbers would be far more accurate if he were able to take a pencil and paper with him during his remote viewing episodes but unfortunately he has to rely on memory

Can't remember the last time I've said this but I'm excited for tonight's show, Brian Tuohy was really interesting last time he was on during the Olympics.  Shows about exorcisms are usually fascinating also.

Seems like there were several weeks here where Ian's shows were kind of boring topics(to me), hopefully they're improving.
