They have those in Africa? There is so much in life I am truly ignorant about. I should travel more.

I really should.

I fucking love Michael Decon.

Little known Jackstar fact: I spent three years living as an atheist in my late teens and early twenties. I see myself in Decon... and it is glorious.

Also: I love spics. mic drop

I don't think the Army would have let me in with flat feet/fallen arches...  What I was getting at was the cheap/low quality stirrup socks I was issued for my Little League Championship Team's uniform had a poorly sewn seam that was the size of a smallish walnut or big pecan, and this seam perfectly lined up with the top of the arch of my foot.  I encourage you to take a small walnut or large pecan, tape it to the underside of your foot (right on the top of under the arch), cram that foot into a shoe and try to run around in the outfield of a baseball field.  Also, you are only allowed to 1 pecan or walnut, so pick your poison, left or right, and go run around.

As I recall that summer of pain, it occurs to me that it was only one of the pair of stirrup socks that afflicted me;  I think I preferred to have it on my right foot as apparently my left foot was more "sensitive" to pain.  Also, on the placement of the pecan or small walnut in your shoe:  try to put it in on the "inner" side of the arch of your foot where there is a natural cavity that is almost, but not quite big enough for it:  then go run at minimum a quarter of a mile if not two.  Maybe simulate a jumping catch, being sure to use the foot that the walnut/pecan is with as the jump-off foot.

Of course, me being me I chose not to tell anybody about this defective sock and toughed it out.  Or maybe the coach told me to suck it up early on when I bitched about it, and that is what I did.  I do remember the pain though, and that was my last year playing baseball.  I think I still have our championship trophy somewhere...

So yes, go get yourself a small walnut or largish pecan and try it out in your shoe!  PLEASE.

Wow. Very touchy on that subject. (*Makes note for future use.)  8)

The irony is that, had they hung on to it for a few more years, it would be a very fashionable silhouette.  There were men in stirrup pants on the runway only two years ago at Tom Ford.

There is a name for this phenomenon -- I forget what it is -- where inherently conservative or bureaucratic entities change their institutional styles just before they become trendy again.

I’m a big fan of stirrups on women.  Very flattering profile.

I haven't listened to this podcast, nor the two that preceded it, but I plan to, just as soon as those little sent messages in Voxer flip over into "Delivered" and then "Read."

Oh, please. I send you shit on Voxer and all you do is complain about the length of the clips and how highly impractical it all is. Don't belly ache now coz I'm busy.

I am not. Meanwhile, your friend just got _______. I'm mystified at how this has flown under your radars. Why so serious?

Honestly, it really seems like you're under duress.

I would prefer not to.

I guess I'll badger you in private correspondence, then. Consider my interest piqued.

SCHEDULE: CLEAR

We're listening to you from the past. And, I just found out, she had not remembered reading something else from this time period!

I think you should read it to her, you know--like for one of your little monologues. That, or I'll ask the spic to do it.

I'm kinda neutral on this. Life is but a dream.

That sounded like Michael Decon broadcasting from inside a cardboard box

Never go full Decon ...

Please tell the boy broadcasting from inside the barrel that people may not remember what you said, but they will remember how you made them feel.

I hope Azzerae will be back next week!

SpaceMeowMaid

come on now, give the Zassy a break. He's busy sonning mofos twice his age, and from another continent. I say not bad for the extreme challenge. And dodging all the COVID germs to boot. You better be gargling with some salt water, taking vitamins, and drinking ginger lemon tea! oops, mommy mode just hit hyperdrive... Apologies, or Apogees as pAte says.

AZZERAE

The audio quality is garbage on the last episode, true. I recorded it while I was in the pool. Maybe I'll remaster it.

There are many ways to travel through time, but there is only one way to communicate across it--and that is through.

Maybe I'll remaster it.

A non-exclusive non-transferable non-comparable license to do exactly that has just been granted unto you.

I am pretty sure that you asked for this. Remember? We can start tuning everyone out pretty soon afterwards.

Ms. Maid is thinking it over. However, she has no rights over what I wrote, and when I explained that to her, she said oh, "okay, sure, whatever." I just asked her, just now.

She also represents that she hasn't talked to you hardly at all lately through Voxer or Skype or any other medium. She says you and she have Twitter but you don't Tweety at each other much--or lately.

She also just asked, "why are you talking about me?" And then I just explained, and now she's giggling and laughing. We're good over here. Solid. Requisite trials have been passed.

And, she told me to tell you, that she said that, "David Rubini told me that he thinks we're having cybersex." Seriously, she just said that. This is the best episode of Three's Company ever.

Dear bunny, I am not pulling your leg with the title of the second episode of Panspermia.  The title comes right off the headers of the extensive outline I have prepared and am fleshing out.  I do think the Swedish Saffron Bun has been given short shrift in folklore studies, a shameful neglect that I aim to correct, with wide-reaching ramifications for our understanding not only of Norse mythology, but also that of the various peoples lazily subsumed under the vague groupings of "Celtic" and "Germanic".  I think my argument will be very persuasive!

This is what a Swedish Saffron Bun is supposed to look like:

I made some yesterday but they were lumpy so I did not take a picture.  There is so much butter in them that it is very difficult to incorporate all of it smoothly with the flour without clumping.  They really belong in something like brioche tins to give them any sort of shape at all, but for some reason the Swedes expect you to make smooth long serpents of golden dough with the stuff twisted into baroque scrolls.  It is enough to drive me mad!
