Heaters technical difficulties are related to the fact she has been spraying her studio and she's got Troll Spray in all her pots, jacks and switches. Mixed with tears, it's all a big sticky mess of non-connectivity.

From her POV, there's nothing wrong with Maudlin in the Desert with Heather Havisham pumping out from the Art shrine. If she needs to take a night off or the phones are empty or she needs show-filler just turn on the tears. As long as listeners, Vara, affiliates put up with it, hey why not. All the sympathy attention is a bonus.

Plausible scenario:
She never was close to Art like she claimed.  The relationship was one-sided, as in being a groupie.  Art got sick of doing the show, or maybe physically sick by then.  He let her do the show because she came up with the rent money for the equipment first.  Then as he got more more ill, he sold the whole cuckshed to her.  End of her "closeness" to Art. Then he died.  Very simple.  She lied about her entire relationship to Art.  All along.   Think I'm crazy?

I have thought similar. I don't buy any of the hand picked bs. She was convenient when he wanted out and it snowballed into this dumpster fire.

I forced myself to listen to most of "Kingdom of Nye" last night and I came away from that 100% sure that Heather Wade is seriously mentally ill.  I'm no mental health professional, but she's obviously suffering from severe depression, along with paranoia (talking about her "enemies") and sleeplessness.

I've never heard anything like it on talk radio.

Hell, Keith Rowland was being compassionate when he offered her a 6 month leave of absence.  She needs it and she needs someone to reel her back in to reality.

Way to harsh. She is under stress but not mentally ill

There are the believers and the skeptics. Art appealed to both. Heather's listeners are skewed to believers because she is one of them. Whether intentional or not Heather is "overplaying" conflict.
She is accused of copying Art, other than some voice patterns I see little of Heather conducting her show like Art did.

My guess is she has life long issues, and being isolated in the middle of nowhere, idolizing a narcissist like Art Bell and having no one else to talk to or socialize with exacerbated whatever those are.
