George Noory Made Me Get A Speeding Ticket In Hawaii!

       Here's the letter I wrote to the Judge:

Your Honor,

  I respectfully write this letter in regards to the speeding ticket I received coming down the hill into Haleiwa in the early hours on Feb. 5th, 2009. I was returning to my vacation rental up the hill in Pupukea after dropping off my Coast Guard buddy in Kailua. I was shocked to find out I was traveling SO fast. It's not in me to be speeding. I pride myself in being a very cautious and conscientious driver.

My only defense in this matter lies in the mental distraction I ensued that night by listening to an atrocious radio show on 830AM, hosted by a man named George Noory. As I was driving the rental car I was completely unfamiliar with the operation of its radio, and I was unable to expeditiously turn off the radio before my mind became completely incapacitated by the show's imbecile host George Noory . The resulting mental incapacitation is what led to my unintentional speeding violation. It is my opinion that Officer R. Roberts ID#100684 should be lauded for his heroic role in maintaining public safety that night....as if it wasn't for him I would have only become further mentally impaired by the George Noory program.

In closing, I lived in Hawaii for close to 20 years, moving to Alaska, Spring of 1999. I received my first drivers license on Maui before moving to Kauai. In all those years I had only one violation...a seat belt ticket. That was shortly after the seat belt law came into effect. I respect the law and the aina. That night was not the norm for me. I earnestly feel that I became a helpless victim, being mentally violated by a mediocre radio show and George Noory,  substandard host of Coast to Coast AM. Any leniency in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Mahalo for taking time out of your busy day to review this letter.

Holy shit... I hope to god you did not write that to your judge. You sound like you are selling your opinion of Noory more than accepting responsibility for your actions, which are mostly unfounded in the legal world. I hope you are joking about this whole thing. If you are not.... you should not be driving if your distaste for a radio host causes you to put other people on the road in harm.

To quote Mr Eddy from the David Lynch movie 'Lost Highway'------

"I want you to get a fuckin' driver's manual, and I want you to study that motherfucker! And I want you to obey the the goddamn rules! Fifty-fuckin' thousand people were killed on the highway last year 'cause of fuckin' assholes like you! NOW tell me you're gonna get a manual!"

You know, listening to George makes me do illegal things, too,  like criminal mischief.  I have thrown bottles at stop signs and made dints on a few.  Also, I broke a window.   These are not typical actions as I am a law-abiding citizen.  I did not go to court over these. 

You made have created a new defense to be used in court, The Noory Defense, a scaled-down version of the temporary insanity defense.  It is temporary insanity brought on by the stupid utternaces of a tard overnite host.  You can remove the defense by turning off the radio.  The crimes of this type are most often done during the midnight hours when George in on the air.  Police and patrol officers be on guard.

First of all, TPrainbow, I love your name! Hee!!!

And 2nd of all, I really sent that letter to the Judge. Yep I did! And...I WAS listening to George that night.....

It was a repeat of the Feb.4th show...they play the show twice, horrors!

Clifford Stone (former US Army Sergeant/covert operations )was on and getting choked up. George was being typically sickening.

Sending that letter to the Judge is buying me time to sell some shit on e-bay to pay for the damn ticket! Who knows, I might get lucky if the Judge has ever listened to George. Fingers crossed.

I was under the impression that you wanted a serious reaction. I still think that was the worst thing you could have done for yourself....but for the sake of being funny... i suppose when you accidentally flip on bill o'reiley you might go on a shooting spree at your local Safeway...at least that's what i want to do, but its usually easier to turn the radio off or listen to some good music.

Maybe I'm being sensitive about this sort of issue because I am a working sound engineer and musician and this business has taken quite a few suits due to people blaming music or television(and now the fucking radio) for their stupid often dangerous or harmful actions. I don't think this judicial system is perfect at all, the drug war is a perfect example of what a mess it currently. We all have to pay taxes so the government can build new jails because the jails are all filled with 50% drug offenders, and we now have no room for real criminals. I read somewhere that the number of non violent drug offenders in federal prisons equals the combined population of Wyoming and Alaska... poor poor pot-heads... but enough about that, my post is starting to sound as misguided as letter to the judge

Back to my point. My point was that littering and damaging public property should be reserved for morons...and you two are not morons. I enjoy your posts. I don't mean to sound preachy(like that fucker Ian), I'm not a religious man or anything, but it is no ones fault but your own.

If only you had not sent the letter to your judge blaming your incompetence for operating the vehicle on a fucking dude talking on the radio. I promise I would laugh my ass off about this whole thing. I have been incited by things that have caused me to make mistakes in my life, but it never occurred to me that i might not be responsible for my actions.

Perhaps you should write your judge another letter. How fast were you going over? I may be able to give you some sound legal advice. What if..........he LIKES NOORY?!!??!?!?! DEAR GOD NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I doubt he knows coast though. He's probably too busy dreaming about how awesome it is playing god because he has a rope and can send people up the river for 20 goddamn years to listen to anyone but himself. Darling, you need to know something about me, basically, I'm just goofy. Even though my letter appeared serious, it was meant in a lampoon style. I know damn well I'm getting nailed for the full amount. Since it's quite a bit of money, I wanted to get my moneys worth, if you get my drift and buying some time here to generate some cash so I can pay my debt to society for my traffic infraction.LOL!!

What you don't know, is that You and I share similar opinions that In order to protect myself I cannot share here on a public forum.

Since you are in the music industry perhaps you could review my latest radio show and give me your opinion....I'm new to broadcasting with no formal training and would value your opinion. My interludes between music can be quite frisky and I've already been in trouble the short time I've been on the air. I'd sincerely value your opinion, you seem to be very sensible.

I just got my verdict in the mail concerning my speeding ticket, and.....

OMG!!!! That Judge must have been violated by George's nonsense like the rest of us, as my fine was reduced by $85.00!!! Victory!!!! Woohoo!!!
