What kind of coffee do you like?

I enjoy coffee & I am interested in the different types from other cultures or walks of life that I have not tried yet. I am interested in your opinion of the best you may have had or heard about and if possible where to find it or how to brew it. I enjoy tea as well and if you wish to discuss that please do.

I have a French press I like and find it makes a better cup of coffee for my taste, it is real easy and I don't mind the 4 mins it takes to make 2-8 cups. I never have tried Turkish coffee yet anyone who has I would like to know your opinion of it  .

my travels abroad haven't really enhanced my coffee knowledge much at all.  however, i CAN talk about moroccan tea.



as you see in the pic, the tea leaves are green and fresh at the time of use, which surprised me.  i expected something dry and processed in some way.  it smells a bit minty, actually.  they're placed into a pot and allowed to stew there for a while, stems and all.  the moroccans (like most of the arab world) use a TON of sugar in their tea.  it's really quite shocking at first to average american tastes.



after the tea is finished brewing, they pour it into one glass, which they then proceed to pour into another glass, and then back to the first glass, etc.  this is to cool things down, obviously, because it's hot as hell when they brew it.

it is difficult to describe the taste, but it is perhaps one of the finest indulgences for anyone who has the slightest affinity for teas.

by the way... moroccan tea tastes great with AND without sugar, but if you drink it without sugar while in morocco, you'll be odd.

however, some of the things i'm reading here don't jive with what i saw, including the whole process of boiling the tea first merely to clean it.  maybe i missed something with regard to that phase.

Thanks for the info and I would rather gather the information from people like you and others here. I knew that they used sugar as a staple of the tea but not to the extent that you have stated, first hand knowledge is better to me than wiki. I also did not know they use green leaves other than the mint kind, damn, now I really want some authentic Moroccan tea to try you make it sound so good, thanks.

Coffee = excellent and a rich source of anti-oxidants. Don't try to go a day without it, unless you are a big fan of migraines.

Tea..... I am a big fan of pineapple ginger green tea. It's also got things in it that are supposed to be good for you so you can live a long time and work as much as possible and make sure that this lovely capitalist system works and works and works and never breaks

I get migraines and you are so right "They Fucking Suck" but your tea sounds real good is it a commercial blend, product name maybe?

I had a Russian tea Kusmi that was Ceylon tea with orange, lemon, vanilla, grapefruit and spices I know it sounds weird but it was great.
