80 dead, hundreds injured

And somehow it does not deserve a thread here...  I suppose it is because it is just more of "them" getting killed.  If anything, we should celebrate and dance in the streets.  I wonder if the media would be so quick to show the blood, bodies and limbs scattered around the scene if it were "our" dead and not "theirs."

Oh, and to make a certain poster happy- My condolences to their families. ;)

Why am I supposed to care? It's probably not being talked about since Islamic Terrorism is a no no in western media unless it can't be ignored or spun into a white extremist. I guess the answer is import hundreds of thousands of people from that region?

We're numb to it. Besides, Mr. Obama just told us how things are really getting better.  Or if you really want to make a difference, you could send a teddy bear to Kabul.  Mylar balloons would pop at that altitude.

Having expressed my cynicism, I will say that our sterile self-censored media is a large part of our apathy and ADD over violence and terrorism.  We're not allowed to see the carnage. It might make us angry.  And that's not nice.

That is an interesting observation... So why show the carnage in Kabul so quickly and so widely?  Why would mainstream news have no problem showing the graphic photographs of Kabul and not Niece?  (I realize that you can find it- but I don't believe that ABC, NBC, CNN showed it nearly as readily.)

Why am I supposed to care?
Why am I supposed to care about France, Germany, England and a club shooting in Florida?  I suppose whatever answer you arrive at is probably the answer that applies.

Because they're not Islamic shit holes where these things are... or weren't supposed to happen? Not to mention the suicidal act of importing millions of people from a region that is at war with the western world. Who doesn't like watching liberal policy literally explode in their faces?

Actually I'm surprised our news covers all the Muslim on Muslim bombings and atrocities as much as they do. Normally people just shrug the horrible stuff off as "Muslims doing what they do and have done for centuries." Though our destabilization via our wars and foreign policy and arms deals do exacerbate it. We also have a habit of picking the most backwards style of Islam and some of the more corrupt "royals" to support. When the peace of Islam visits our countries it obviously makes more news because it effects us directly.
ps: the reason you don't find a lot of videos and picture of the "Niece," as you call it, attack is because the French government, in particular the SDAT, trying to get the surveillance footage deleted. Supposedly so it can't be used by Muslims to promote likewise killings but rumor is because it shows the light and poor security by the police and other forces at the event. I haven't tried but I'm sure somewhere on the interwebs you could find photos or video should you want to do so.

So, in short...

I don't know what you mean by "them". How involved are you in keeping up with Indonesian economics or homicides or are they "them" to you? What's your perspective on Brazilian crime or is that "them" to you as well? Or are you only upset that I don't care what is happening in the biggest shit holes in the Islamic world?

It's unfortunately the norm for such shit holes.  It isn't the norm for civilized places.  Yet.  Thanks to the political idiots, it's becoming more so, unfortunately.

Ha!  Sounds typical for a frog and a socialist.  With clowns like him, jackboots would still be goose stepping down the Champs-Élysées.

Yes... Sorry... Nice.

Anyhow, you can find some pictures (the following was the CBC.)  I don't think that many would disagree with your assessment on our policies towards the middle east, in general.  In the name of "stability" we have propped up the worst of the worst- and the people there are paying the price.

As I posted before I can understand why the French police/govt would want the footage deleted, even if the reasons are not to cover-up bad policing or preperations but for humanitarian reasons: nobody wants it used for Muslim propaganda or sickos getting off on watch death videos, but I think it is a bad idea because:
1) things can be learned on how to better manage things or possibly prevent future peaceful Muslim actions.
2) maybe people need to 'wake up' or be 'shocked' into mobilization (peaceful of course) against the invaders and, just as important, against the politicians that enable the terrorists and criminals to enter due to suicidal immigrant, "refugee," asylum claims, and open-borders (and meddle in Muslim lands and selling them arms.)
3) deletion of all the footage would reinforce the crazies who think it was faked or 'inside job' etc.

I am not really concerned with what you care about regarding "the biggest shit hole in the Islamic world."  I just find it typically hypocritical to say that they should not be indifferent or happy when 911 happens but then turn around and show the same emotions towards them when innocent people are blown up.

I'm not upset...  I just find the reactions interesting.

In Reutlingen man struck with a machete around and killed a woman. Five other people were injured. The perpetrator was arrested.

Yeah, there is a thread about it. Reports I saw said dead woman was pregnant though I've not seen any follow-ups and in leftist Germany the baby's death wouldn't cause any concern. The Muslim was stopped by a guy's BMW. The driver should've accelerated more and just greased the guy. Now there will be trials, consternation, and tax-payers will be paying to keep the Muslim alive for years.

It's wonderful that you're so egalitarian and truly loving of all equally.  How's that stigmata thing coming?

You mis-read me.  I hate everybody equally.

Hard to comment on this clip... It kind of puts you in a solemn mood.  A fair warning- Do not click on the link if you are easily upset... I would estimate it shows 20 - 30 people destroyed immediately after the truck hit them (no clean up.)  70 views right now- I assume it will not last long on youtube (and maybe it shouldn't?)  On the other hand, I am one of those people who believes that people should be able to see the ugly truth.

And there is, apparently, a video that ISIS has made already giving step by step instructions on how to duplicate this.

It is perfectly understandable considering the peaceful actions of the Muslims Merkel, Obama, Billary, etc want in our countries. Just in (luckily this time only the Muslim died but others were injured and it could of been much worse):

...911 and getting blown up by their own people. What are you even talking about? Who is this "they". Are you lighting candles for these people and obsessively follow their daily struggle? Or is this some mental gymnastics guilt trip?

And do you consider Indonesians and Brazilians "them"?

Fine... Lets not use 9/11.  Lets use the Oklahoma bombing instead. I still feel badly when your own people blow you up. You bet I extend the same courtesy to my neighbours south of the boarder when I think of "them".

The simple fact is that most of us feel stronger about what happens closer to home.  City, country, continent and then the more abstract... Racial groups and those who we share a common history with.

I don't like it- but I will admit that I felt deeper watching the video from Nice than Kabul... But it does not change the fact that innocents died in both places.  You can argue that I should feel worse as it is not supposed to happen in France- but going back to Oklahoma or even Columbine- it was not "supposed" to happen there either (and you can't blame the Muslims.)  I'm just not prepared to be completely indifferent just because it is people in Kabul how lost their loved ones to a bomb.
