I'm confused. Art' s Dark Matter, run by Paul and Keith is totally different from Dark Matter XM, which is run by...who? And why are they using the Dark Matter name?

Also, I couldn't get the stream to open on Art's Dark Matter yesterday - said "video not available." Did link in via another site, which was the XM version.

Very proud of Art and crew for this new network. Just need to figure out how to access the site in a simple manner. Any suggestions welcomed.

I might have to email him... Any idea if Knapp would be willing to do a once weekly podcast?  I doubt he does Coast for the money (day job and all that jazz) and he could set his own hours.  I do not know what his NC clause would look like, but I really want a Knapp / Bell team and we could get an amazing headstart.

*** Please, please, please???  Please

Bell, Knapp podcast? Perfect hosts! Don't think Knapp would leave C2C, though, and bet he's under a contract.

Art-

I hope the latest message isn't your last here. It's been great having you post on Bellgab, and keeping us up to date. So, even if you're posting about your dinner or your cats, please keep in touch. Remember, we're vaguely lovable.

Agree 100%!

"Did he look like this guy?"

George looks like my Aunt Juanita, but her mustache was bigger.

Art & Paul, I hope you are both doing well.  You probably can't comment on legal issues so I won't even ask.  Can't wait to hear you on the air again ASAP Art!

AGREE 100%!

The poster was Surmo.  There was some debate as to whether or not he really was connected to Art.  Being as it has been a few days and there is no official denial it seems quite possible... Click on the link and go back to the long post. http://bellgab.com/index.php?action=profile;area=showposts;u=2727

I read his posts. Can't buy Surmo as Art' s lawyer. I just hope Art actually has legal counsel and will fight the NC. Being quiet might be a good thing in this situation.

Art has been pretty silent until after his lawyer came on this board and made a few posts (Other than Art's post on Friday). I take it to mean that Art is lawyering up and was advised to be quiet, or threw in the towel.

Art' s lawyer was on this forum? How do I locate those posts?
Thanks!

I would like to see Art get syndicated locally by KNYE or something then stream for free on his site as well. That's my ideal dream for the future.

Winning recipes for late-night radio listening

What the hell kind of shitty contest did these recipes "win"?

"Worst Food Award" would be my guess.

Hi Sillyfruit. He actually has some real good recipes in that book. I've tried maybe five, so far, but I eventually want to try them all. Good eatin'.

Did you try the recipe with canned soup poured over Minute Rice? Or, George suggested, instead of rice, you could pour the soup over bread.

I can't fathom what the best of Noory could possibly be

The best of Noory must be his cookbook, which is for sale on the c2c website. The man's talents are endless, but none that I'd care to emulate.

This is all I needed to read.  We are with you Art.

Yes, we're with you, Art. And now you know what was going on in the background. Not only did George have time to steal your show and guests, he's also "written" a cookbook. One of the best recipes in George's cookbook is Minute Rice with soup poured over the top. Yum!

George Knapp taking over C2C full time would be the only silver lining in this whole mess.

I agree. George Knapp is the best. 2nd after Art, of course.

My goodness I was watching a show on the DVR with my child Bride and come back to this?  Of course I am not going to commit sewerpipe, I said all that tounge in cheek and I did not say anything that was not said here and over and over, spread out over 106 pages or so. My skin as I age is indeed getting thinner but my public skin has never been thicker. I just thought you would like to see how the same words used here would sound coming from me. I have not changed my mind about free streaming and intend to make it a reality one way or the other. I have asked Sirius to allow me to act as a Private Broadcaster, then as other shows do, I could stay on Sirius and would be free to stream all I want.
If they go for that all will be well, It would mean no pay from Sirius but I am good with that, I do not need the money. If Sirius says no, then I will, at the first opportunity stream from artbell.com.

Again, I am sorry that some people invested in a radio or a stream and if a deal is not reached will have lost out. You do not know what
was going on behind the scenes for those six Weeks and if you did I think you might understand, or considering the makeup of some of this
group perhaps not, but I was trying to act in the interest of the listener, not myself.

I still love this board. There is something about the core group that is somewhat loveable and I still feel that way, I do know trolls when I see them, and I can guess where they slime in from. I am toying with the idea of new hours for the show....

There is only one good way to proceed and that is with a better product. That is what I intend to do.

                                                                                                                                                  Art

Art,
So glad that you will be returning to radio in some form. I did have problems with the timeouts on the Sirius radio I bought just to listen to you on Dark Matter. However, I learned to deal with it and in no way could I believe you would leave the show because of that. Know more was going on and do hope you and Sirius come together soon. We miss you and want you back. Listened to George and wonder what you thought of it. I can truly understand how politics is a career he aspires to. Love your show, Art. All the best to the AB clan. Millions of Roswells!

Art Bell did not reply to George Knapp on facebook. That is someone playing a little game. Don't think GN, as bad as he is, will be leaving until 2013 - he mentions his contract a lot - maybe he can't believe  that they've signed him up for that long. Of course, I listen to GN for about five minutes, then turn off the radio. Ian and Knapp and just about anybody else I'll listen to - but not GN. So, I guess I won't be joining the "new" thread that's going to be started by another little game player.

I've been to Pahrump several times and it's a nice place. Surrounded by mountains and the sky is endless. The people are friendly and there is a small town atmosphere, even though most of the population is from somewhere else. And guess what? Las Vegas is right down Hwy 60, less than an hour away. I vote to have our meetings in Pahrump - no other place would be "right," IMHO.

I am so glad I found this forum. Sad, though, that it was because I couldn't find Art's name listed as a host on C2C - also noticed he wasn't doing any "fill-in" shows. That made me start searching around and I found CoastGab. I do hope that Art is planning a come back and I also hope he returns to Pahrump. Thanks for the great posts and I do hope George Noory goes back to St. Louis, never to be heard from again. Long live Art Bell, things that go "Pahrump" in the night, cats, Area 51, the "Mel's hole" guy, and Ramona's ghostly presence. Happy New Year to all of you and I hope we get our wish - Art Bell back on the airwaves in 2011!
