Self-esteem was created by culture and was thence stolen by society in order to control how an individual will react, and how to get the individual to react the way Society wants. Society is about the whole, think Borg here. Culture really has nothing to do with Society. If Society could do away with culture, lead us to Borgism, then society would be very happy. If you think I am wrong about Society trying to do away with culture, then think of what has happened; to the shamanistic cultures (it is considered illegal to utilize certain plants to reach their raised state of conciseness), the Native American culture (where has their cultural right to hunt and move about freely gone), the American culture; (try to drink a beer on fourth of July at an outdoor picnic in some parts of the USA it is illegal to have an open container in public). Those are just a few of the cultural aspects that have been done away with by society.

Culture says it’s okay, Society says it is unacceptable; leaving the individual confused and in a mental fog easier to control.

Society never has been nor ever will be about the Individual; it is about control of the masses and nothing more.
Well those are my thoughts.

    We are all different people. Just because an individual believes they have "low self-esteem", does not make it so. If they truly do have low self-esteem, what different does it make in that individuals life? Does that individual need to be like everyone else? The low self-esteem may be just who they are, and does not necessarily mean that individual is unhappy in their life. Why does an individual need to have better habits, habits=ruts. We learn we grow, we move on, all at our own pace in life. If you have few regrets in life, does it matter what your self-esteem level is? Self-esteem, does it have any effect on the amount of regrets you have in life? Do mistakes in life equal true regrets in life?
    If you could go back in time, is there really anything you would change about your life, knowing that if you did make a change in your past, your current life would not be what it is today. Making a change in the past may not lead to the ideal present, but does stand a chance of increasing your regrets, especially if you still remembered who you were before making the change in the past, and by time travel and changing the past I am of the opinion that you would indeed remember all that you did prior to the changing the past, even if that moment is only a dejavue experience, example: seeing a young couple on a picnic with their four year old being pushed on a swing, being overcome by a sudden and over whelming sense of loss. Yes, we all make mistakes in life, but to change one thing, and then miss out on re-experiencing those wonderful moments before you chose to change them, no thank you, yes there may be a few regrets, but are those few regrets worth all the happiness of the present?

Yes, I know it was kind of rambling, just the way I think sometimes.

I missed the live cast of the second edition of bellgab, will listen when it is available. I did listen to the inaugural cast, and despite a few setbacks, I thought it was an interesting show. Treadingwater had a good call-in so it was a good thing you got the lines working. The guy from the other site, mending fences or stirring the pot more, I am still not sure about his call-in, and then had to hang-up and call in again after his boss (obviously) heard him. I guess he has one of those jobs where you do not get to speak your mind, toe the company line or your outta here jobs. A shame the work force and small business has come to that, I guess that is why things made today are such pieces of crap, and as for new content, why things are the same old pieces of rehashed crap.

I just finished "Into the Darkness" by Doug Kelly

259 pages $0.99 A good price for a fairly entertaining read.

But like I've said before, I really do prefer a longer more complete story, series are o-kay as long as they do not end up being one book divided into three parts.

I would be somewhere in-between the two individuals below at a 3.5 to 4 star rating.
One thing I really did not like was the very beginning when the author felt he had to explain the science of a CME in the book forward. I think most people buying this type of a book know a little bit about EMP's and CME's.

This is a solid story written well that will keep you reading to the last page (btw which leaves it open to additional books). Towards the end there is a mystery that has me puzzled but other than that it was a wonderfully entertaining read with a creative solution for long distance travel without motorized vehicles. Buy it -- you will enjoy it.

It was obvious that you listened to your guest, he was very interesting, and seemed to be well informed, and did his homework. You asked some very good questions, and made some very good comments to your guest. Neither of you seemed to be straining during the interview, and he was able to answer the questions you brought up and clarifiy the points those questions brought up. Very good Job. This was the Siberian Skiers show that I heard.

I'm not sure I am ready for a show from the love child of Dr. Laura and Rush. Live life the way I say, and let me tell you about politics. Gag.

Since they do not know what happened, and they are making speculative guesses, I figured I could speculate also. I have after all watched Star Trek. For those that question my credentials, I think I once stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. LoL.

Well I looked at the news stories on google news science tab. It seems that the sun is strong enough to obliterate a comet nucleus, but is not strong enough to obliterate a few dust particles? It seems as if all the Nasa people work for the emperor that wore no clothes. I know there are a lot of extremely well educated people on this site, so can one of you explain to me how the sun obliterates a Comet nucleus, but not the dust from it, or are the images of a cometary tail nothing more than a camera artifact?

Maybe they should rename ISON to ELE.

Think it is trying to tell us something?
If it was Halloween I would be scared.

CANCEL THE EULOGY ... FOR NOW: Comet ISON flew through the sun's atmosphere on Nov. 28th and the encounter did not go well for the icy comet. Just before perihelion (closest approach to the sun) the comet rapidly faded and appeared to disintegrate. This prompted reports of ISON's demise. In the movie, Comet ISON seems to be falling apart as it approaches the sun. Indeed, researchers working with NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory said they saw nothing along the track that ISON was expected to follow through the sun's atmosphere. Nevertheless, something has emerged. Whether this is a small scorched fragment of Comet ISON's nucleus or perhaps a "headless comet"--a stream of debris marking the remains of the comet's disintegrated core--remains to be seen.

Nasa Scientist take:"We didn't see Comet ISON in SDO," said Dean Pesnell, project scientist for SDO.
"So we think it must have broken up and evaporated before it reached perihelion."

The last video segment on the Nasa story clearly shows the same image as spaceweather.com image. It clearly show along the same track as the comet entering the sun, something leaving the sun. All the other initial video segments on the comet appear to have been edited to show nothing leaving the sun. Cover-up, or oversite? Who knows. Will a fragment of the comet now be destined for the earth, and Nasa does not want to ruin the holiday shopping spree going on?

    Other than myself, everyone on here seems to have one talent or another, ask them if they would be willing to be guest. Book Authors, what have you written, where can an individual purchase a copy of your book. Musician, what kind/type of music do you play/sing, any albums out there, where can our listeners can listen. Artist, what is your favorite type of medium, have you been shown in any galleries, where is the most interesting place your art has shown up?

    How long are the initial shows going to be while you three get your feet wet? What is something that really interest you? What fasinating thing happened to one of you on your way to The Forum. I remember during a training class I took, it takes a lot of time and energy just to make a 3 minute presentation to a group of strangers. Be prepared for the unexpected if you have call-ins, be patient, and try not to rush any speakers, or talk to much over each other.

    Other than that, I have no clue what your show is going to be about, or what you want it to be about. Just have fun while you have the chance, get the sh** scared out of you and then Mr. Hankey can poke fun at you on the message boards.LoL.

    Yes, but we have to give the people time to grow and learn, and for word to spread amoung the Paranormal, Art Bell Guest circles, that here are some people that would be willing to have you on their show, thus giving you exposure to Art Bell fans, and another outlet to espouse your ideas and thoughts. With time hopefully the shows will improve; not only that the weak, just wanna make a buck guest will go away.

Onan, b_dubb and myself will be deciding how to move forward with the gabcast.
I will need to move all technical aspects of producing the show to my studio in phoenix. Broascasting / producing and  hosting a podcast is new to me and I will need help with the setup and configuration. I run a small recording studio , so most of the basic audio equipment is already inplace. Connecting together the various PC's needed for: host audio, skype callers and the live show and mp3 encoders is going to be challenging. My head hurts

We want to have fun doing the show and I hope the listeners can overlook the fact that we dont have much experience in broadcasting.  It might not be as polished as you have come to  expect at first, but it should be entertaining either way.

Trac Phone is trying to get me to upgrade to a smart phone thru their advertising, but why would I want to make it easier on the NSA and other spy agencies to see where I am, what I'm doing, who's picture I am taking, who I am emailing, and what I am surfing. Let them look at 10 places for all that verses 1 location for all the information. I'm not even sure if my phone has a GPS tracker built in it is so old.

Hello Art, good start to the new Network. In six months I can see the entire week and all the days full with new and interesting cast/shows. I and my wife have but one request: Please no more EVP's. Ghost stories are alright, but EVP's, personally I think they suck, and that most of them are pure sensationalism. The scientific/speculation shows are great. UFO's, Ancient Civ, even Big Foot is better than EVP's.

That was a heck of a lot more interesting than listening to a bunch of EVP's, or listening to The snorge interupt his guest to give some stupid Been there Done that story from his childhood. Did he even have a childhood?

Well I enjoyed that, a bit short compared to Art, but a very good interview, and very good questions.

Some very good questions from Jim. They pertain to the subject matter and the guest background/knowledge.
