Thank you, Art Bell for your many years of interesting and thought provoking radio programs. R.I.P.

I agree. She is at her best when she stays with paranormal topics. It is evident that she has little experience in political discourse, and does not do well at debate. I suspect that part of the drop off of interest in the show was that she had a large number of wiccan listeners, who have little interest in RW politics. I'm glad shes stopped talking politics, you are right, she tends to 'bait' people on these issues but disallows real genuine debate
I'm not surprised that other affilliates do not want to sponsor witch talk show hosts like Heather, as most radio stations these days are owned by RW corporate conglomerates that promote people like Rush, and whose audience is largely of the conservative/Christian /Trumpian variety.....

In general I agree with you, but I would point out that Heather (who is in no way the “girl Noory” as
described by a different poster) appeared to cozy up to RW corporate America by normalizing Trumps’ ugly and divisive campaign tactics.  Apparently she believed  a person who is constitutionally incapable
of telling  the truth.  She’s immature and irresponsible.

Probably did help to turn away some of her more liberal fans. Might've gained her a few less liberal ones tho. Kind of a trade off, I think. Kinda the same thing when she admitted to being a witch. Probably gained some fans and lost some with that as well.
I think that perspective has merit.  In the best of all possible worlds she never would’ve brought the subject of politics to begin with.

None of this has anything to do with topics that are covered most nights. The fact you'll just tune out anyone you don't agree with shows your not willing to even listen to the other side.

I never said I tuned her out.  I find her political views repulsive  but I listen every weeknight.
I simply began to question her judgment  on all things,  and now consider her immature and irresponsible.  My love of the paranormal has not diminished, however.

So you don't support the 2nd Amendment.  Got it.  I can assure you her low numbers have nothing to do with Trump or gun rights.  Now go back to your Play-doh, snowflake.
O.K.  name caller, assure me.

Maybe her declining listener numbers  can be attributed to  her tacit endorsement of Donald Trump  and her right wing stance on gun rights.

We Bellgabbers in Bella-Haven share your sentiments 100%. We tried to be funny and laugh about a lot of this out of respect, but really. If this world-view were correct, all the world's problems would have been solved right now because of our awesome arsenal of fine weaponry.

I'm torn between wanting to forget this guest forever and hoping Art never abandons this important topic. We need a more nuanced discussion.
Well said.  This guy really turned me off.  Art, please stay away from these death merchants.

I'd rather she tell her stories as stewardess and those long layovers at airport hotels. Coffee, Tea, or Me style. And funny stories about drunken passengers, air rage (I'm sure Norry will mention this as he loves those stories "people are on edge, there is sumething goin on, people are just going nuts" etc), and so forth. Also let us in on "secrets" to get free drinks, upgrades, better seats, secure the emergency aisle or bulkhead etc.

Coffee, tea or me!!?? Bwaahaahaa!!!  I know you're not being  entirely serious, so I'll give you the short version. Stewardesses ,as you call them, don't have a glamorous jobs.  There might be a long layover or two, but they're needed to rest up because 14 hour days are not unheard of. Funny stories about drunks?  There aren't any. Free drinks never solved anything. If you're on the plane it's too late to upgrade, change seats or better your position. If you come to the attention of the flight attendants in the first five minutes, they know you're going to be a problem down the line.
For certain people being a flight attendant is a good job. However,   I'd say I have had all the glamour
I can take.---GNS

Rosemary Ellen Guiley -- talking in a monotone about the afterlife -- sounds like a middle-aged airline stewardess reciting emergency procedures on a Delta flight.

Way to make the prospect of eternal life exciting, Rosemary!

You droning, lying bitch.
.  Being a retired Delta flight attendant, I resemble that remark. To be kind, we are all not professional speakers.  I have been enjoying the posts here, and with Art posting (in his own thread) on occasion it's getting better all the time.

Having no recollection of that movie Hard Rain, it was weird to hear George replay what he referred to as a great scene from it, and give no context to it whatsoever.
pretty sure that was  Black Rain  with Michael Douglas. Not bad for the time.

I listened for the most part then fast forwarded through it.  Why I stay a Coast Insider so I can download this flotsam is beyond me. :-\   Then again, I tried JBW's show.  (sigh and pause)  I digress.

Nonetheless....Did I here Noory say (to Quayle) that someone asked him what his favorite book was and he responded with "The Bible!....Is there any other?"  Hmmmm....seemed like he was sucking up to Quayle's beliefs.  George wouldn't suck up to a guest would he?  ???

*I'm sorry I barely could type that last sentence without getting chills and laughing.

CHEERS everyone!  ;D

When you asked Joel Fotinos what book influenced him the most and he responded "The Science of Mind. By Ernest Holmes, you did't give him a chance to expound. You jumped in with your favorite book, the Bible. George,  after countless hours on the air, your listeners know your thoughts on certain things, including the Bible. Why can't you just let the guest tell their story? End of e-mail.

I'm chiliace, a member for quite some time.  I have never contacted Noory before, but I sent that e-mail to George on the day he made the above comment to Quayle.  He might have read it and perhaps it ticked him off. I heard the comment myself and got a chill thinking I might have actually had an impact on the Snooron. Anyway, that is my story.  Sorry I haven't posted before, but I did read and enjoy the "Art Bell Quits Dark Matter" thread; all of it. I miss some of those people.  Anybody hear from Tertiary Imam recently? GNS
Sorry again, my post appears to be one long quote. I'm new at posting. Thanks.
