OK, I'm a short wave radio MORON! Can anyone explain this? Will this be available via podcast at all? Do we have the ability to listen to short wave on the internet, etc? Just curious. When is this happening? Thanks

I'll try this. This is not even the type of music I usually listen to......but I've heard it before and I'm trying to remember where I heard it other than art bell and what' it's called.

Hmmm? I've downloaded torrents before using Utorrent..............but when I click the original link, it's like a blank torrent..............?

And incidentally.....I have a bumper music question:

From a show 11-23-1996,,,the bumper music (instrumental) playing returning from the Break and Art discussing with Rodney (A guy from Arkansas that captured a GHOST!

Radio and Podcasts / DUMB question:

If this has been discussed already, I apologize for rehashing it........

I'm certainly NOT complaining.......

But why was fineartstream taken down, yet U7radio.org wasn't?

I'm listening to it right now.......so that question just popped into my mind.

Thanks

I don't frequent this forum - But I'm so GLAD I caught this..........I couldn't believe Art called in and it was so great to hear him answer the exact questions I would have asked. And for the person who mentioned that he has no interest in the genre unless it's hosted by Art Bell. You articulated that well and I agree. I have't been able to get interested unless Art is hosting the show.......

I'm sure this is pretty viral by now and not sure how many have seen it. It's unbelievable, but believable at the same time!

Yes, I have heard that about cats. I have a mother-in-law plant which is very poisonous to cats and they won't go near it. I do not take a huge amount of supplements but turmeric is one that I have taken for a while now. I took that WAY before George Noory said anything about taking it. I've heard him mention he takes it.......

Back to the stream - I've been listening for perhaps two or so weeks now on and off and I'm almost sure I've heard a couple of repeats.......Maybe I didn't and it was just the same guest on a different show? Not sure. I still love it and couldn't imagine not having it after I've discovered this stream.

George doesn't approach conversations, he reads cue cards stacked in random order

I fully agree and I have done the same thing! Ask myself if I replaced Art (in that moment) with George, what and how would the questions and responses be different?

And I'm sorry to come on this and ask random questions, but AGAIN, I fell asleep with the stream on a few nights ago, and I woke up and rolled over out of a deep sleep and I remember hearing Art talk to some person about colloidal silver and Art had mentioned that he and his wife had taken it and still got the worst case of the flu they ever had. I wish I could hear that entire show? I guess the reason is because someone told me to give colloidal silver to my cat who had an infected paw pad and I didn't even know what colloidal silver was....They wrote it down for me, I went to health food store and found some (I won't mention the brand I got here), but I gave it to my cat who shockingly drank it like it was tuna juice and in two days, the infection smell was gone from her paw. I was very skeptical but I wanted to help my cat I felt so sorry for her.

It was a last resort before taking her to the vet. That prompted me to look it up and research it and I started taking it when/if I feel something coming on. I love the stuff and it does work. I keep some in my cupboard at all times. Was this entire show about colloidal silver? Art really did skip and go over all kinds of unique subjects...from one extreme to the other. UFO's to natural healing.

Just a reminder that the week before and leading up to Halloween we'll be playing EVP shows, ghost to ghost and other scary stuff.

Oh cool! Yesterday evening, I was listening and I heard Art talking for what seemed like a long time about his life and I feel asleep. What show was this?

So question: I'm guessing that sometimes the stream doesn't have FULL shows? Some shows are partial shows just with interviews? I also heard some commercials yesterday for the first time since I started listening. I can imagine those would be a pain in the ASS to edit all of those out if they were recorded off radio.

Wow - Amazing!

Did coast to coast air literally seven days per week back then? With Dreamland every Sunday? How many shows were typically produced per year? I notice it's odd that in 1994 there are only a few in the archives.......I'm sure more shows were produced in 1994, so I assume that's all that's in circulation? Still very impressive : D

As slight as it might be, George does get a tiny benefit of the doubt; and that's because of the fact George is living and hearing 7 seconds ahead of what we are. So there's the possibility, unlikely as it is, that he indeed heard something he knew would not pass muster, and so he hit the "profanity button" that skips the offending words on the playback we're hearing.

Or he was just a dickhead.

But this wasn't a delay simply because the caller had been on and introduced himself and where he was from and was already INTO what he was telling. I guess he could have said something at the delay but I think whatever it was that made George cut him off got on the air. Like I said, I've heard this happen two times that I know of. I know that Art will put the "recording" over the delay if someone says something like that but he would come back on the air telling them to watch their language but he wouldn't cut them off.....and then the caller would apologize and continue.

I remember when Noory first started doing Coast to Coast and Art was still doing some shows and hadn't completely retired. While listening to a show George was doing, a caller called in and seemed to be a nice person and jokingly said something very matter of fact that that was something to do leading up to the story he was about to tell. I was something very very slightly sexual I think, or maybe something like he was so scared he made a wet spot in the floor -but it wasn't BAD at all! George cut him off right then! I wish I could remember what it was but I remember thinking at the time that the caller did NOT deserve to be cut off at all. George went on to say, "we can't have and will NOT have that kind of talk on this show" or something similar. I remember thinking that Art would NOT have cut that caller off for something that MINOR..........And then there was another time he did it AGAIN!

So listening some more today - two things I could tell that annoyed Art........

1 - Art would answer clearly and say "hello you are ON THE AIR" and they would often respond with something as if they didn't hear a word he just said. I mean, when you call the coast to coast and you hear Art say , "hello 1st time caller or west or east of the rockies you are ON the air", shouldn't you assume that you are on the air? Yet they would say something as if they thought they had reached the wrong party or they were shocked that it was Art.

2 - They would have their radio on and he was constantly having to tell them to turn it off ....LOL! I'll bet he got SO sick of having to ask that even though all of his listeners knew to have the freaking radio off when he picked up. But he was usually very forgiving.

I know George will cut a caller off if they say the least little thing offensive. Earlier I heard a caller from a pay phone say that he transposed a # when calling Art and that he got a phone sex line......I've heard George cut a caller off for saying something so "matter of fact" like that. I wish I could remember what someone said that was so MINOR and George cut them off and said "we can have none of that talk" but it wasn't even that bad! I was thinking, DAMN! Really?

Wow -

I was listening earlier and apparently Windows 95 had just been released and Art opened a line for "Windows 95" callers ONLY. I remember 1995 and was at a friends house who had a Compaq computer and was showing me AOL. It wasn't until 1996 that I started using AOL and the internet and dial up at that. So strange to hear that as if it was just happening and it made me think of everything that was going on in that year. I enjoyed that : D

Yes. We shuffle around, but there are months of shows. Welcome to Coastgab!

Thanks! I've been listening via the shoutcast app on my Panasonic bluray player! Please don't change a thing. I think it's perfect with 24/7 Art and no Noory. I feel asleep and the stream ran for ten hours and I wondered to myself how much bandwidth that uses - does anyone know the calculation of a 28 k stream in one hour? I'm thinking 28 mb per hour, maybe less.

Random Topics / New Here! Questions and Comments I have
September 26, 2012, 07:09:30 AM
Hey guys! Just found this forum and decided to sign up because I have recently been listening to some older Art Bell shows I've never heard before on YouTube. I started listening to Coast in early 2000 and after only one night I was addicted even though I didn't even know what Coast to Coast was at that point. I remember thinking, "is this a special or something?" I had to look it up on the internet the next day to find out about the show. I haven't listened to coast for about two years now! George is a nice guy but I don't know WHY but he just comes off as uninterested and boring; almost like it's just a gig to him and perhaps TOO politically correct. This is just my opinion. I myself would probably run people off the radio waves, so who am I to talk? - Just speaking as a listener. I remember once someone was telling a story and they said something so minor and he cut them off and got on this rant about how people need to watch what they say and I remember thinking, "Wow, Art wouldn't have cut that person off for that!" Art broadcast from him home in the desert which was a perfect setting already; add that that Art was GENUINELY interested and just made you want to know what was on his mind and what he was going to say next. Even if it wasn't a topic I was interested in, I would still listen when I could. Art made uninteresting (to me) topics interesting. And don't get me started on some of the bumper music! I can't tell you how many internet lyric searches I did back then trying to find some of those songs and was eventually successful.

When did you first start listening?

Does anyone on here have every single show that aired?

What was your all time favorite show?
