The Sikhs were some of the most renowned fighters in both world wars. They did not were combat helmets for that very reason.

20% of the officers in the Indian army are Sikh even though they only represent about 3% of the population. I have only met 2 in my life, and they were two of the most honorable people I could have hoped to meet.
