Jose exaplained it's all about shutter speed, man.  The debunkers and hoax-accusers, just don't understand cameras n' stuff.

Kind of like how Peter Popoff disappeared and then came back bigger than ever after James Randi debunked him on Johnny Carson.

Politics and the paranormal/ufology, the only fields of endeavor where someone can be totally discredited yet still come back and be accepted within their community.

I was disappointed that the show concentrated on rods so much, when it was titled "Invisible Entities". It is hard to debunk invisible entities or explain why you don't have the correct camera settings.

Or a weather forecaster. Frequently wrong, yet still act like they can predict the future. Everybody seems to go along with it...I don't understand how they get away with it over and over.

All I can say is for the last year, the app on my phone has been pretty damn accurate 7 to 10 days out.

Hank

Did Heather ever get to talk to the fellow with the elephant tattoo again? That was friggin' hilarious.

My wife keeps track of it... yes she is the organized one in the family. Usually on Sundays we map out the week and weekend plans are always important. Most of the time our plans work out fine.

I hear that!
Especially when they forecast 8-10" of snow, schools and business close the night before and you get a lousy spritz.
The next day they try to run some bullshit voodoo vortex system explanation and some idiots are actually in awe of this.
Emboldened, they do the same thing a week or two later.
I remember our local tv guy in the late 50's early sixties who would literally say "hold on" and look out the window of the studio and then say " it's raining out right now" or whatever. He looked just like Jimminy Crickett and was never wrong.
Sorry, you hit a nerve .

Well, it has been scientifically proven that posting on BellGab is possible even when the weather predictions are wrong.

My weather guy looked like him sort of.
He was a local legend. I almost ran him over on a dirt bike trail on a Ossa 250cc Pioneer.
I crashed and he said HE was sorry. Rip J.Quill

I don't know if anyone else had the pleasure of listening to the weather reports from Marty, who was stationed on top of Mount Washington for 38 years.

Unfortunately I'm a little too far south in Western Mass to have heard him.

When I was stationed up in Plattsburgh NY, he was on one of the few stations we got back in the 70's. He was a hoot.

There's 102 inches of snow at the stake. The winds are out of the north, northwest at 80 mph, gusting to 97. Temperature outside is minus 47. This is Marty on the Mountain.

We used to howl.

I'm listening, but I find ghosts as a topic to be excruciatingly boring. They're obviously trolling us all.

Can't this woman speak in a normal adult manner?
She STILL sounds as though she's reading to a kindergarten class. "Who's been sleeping in MY bed"
"This one is JUST right".
Hashtag better every day!

...About.com...  Yeah, a great source.  HW lasted a whole 15 seconds with me tonight.  Now, to be fully honest here, I'm not into white women so...  I might be able to last considerably longer with her unless she says the magic word...  over and over and over again.

[Her phrasing sucks! - edit]
