There was a break-in a few weeks ago at some store near me. News said, I quote, $73K worth of something called "Magic Gathering" cards stolen. I asked some younger relative and he said, yeah, people pay on Ebay lotsa of money for them.

ps: the best, or sad part, local news said a detective who played the game was assigned the case because "he knew about the value of the cards."

Yeah, collectable card games like Magic: THe Gathering, and Pokemon have been popular for a few decades now.
