If I take melatonin I sleep hard, but if something wakes me up I can't get back to sleep.

It zombifies me: put's me in a overly-relaxed state where I can neither fall asleep or totally wake up. It's horrible  :o

I sleep hard when I take Viagra.

And a reliable source of peyote probably helps

Magic mushrooms, at least  ;)

Heard that, but I'm on zero meds and usually only drink once a week. I think when I shut my eyes I hit a deep sleep right away.

Albert Taylor's trick probably works for lucid dreaming:  getting four hours of sleep, waking up, and then going back to sleep so your body falls to sleep with a more wakeful mind.  Stephen LaBerge wrote a good book called Lucid Dreaming with tons of well-researched tips and tricks.

Did you ever try that Brainwave app?

Is Heather fucking trolling us?

Referencing Voyager as her favorite, and the worst character of all the series, Chakotay.

She probably wants inside his pants.

That is, indeed, the best book on the subject of the many I've read.

Well, that and Castaneda  ;)

Not yet, but my final deadline's tomorrow so I'll have free time for research next week.

She probably draws on the face of her boyfriend with eye liner that stupid face tattoo that Chakotay had, before her and the boyfriend make whoopee.

That's why I dream so much: doing that unintentionally.  The worse I sleep, the "better" I dream.

The worst thing is when I dream that I'm very drowsy but having trouble falling asleep.

Like an app for iphone?
Yes iPhone and iPad. I don't use it for lucid dreaming, but it does have a track for that. I use it for alertness at the computer and for power naps or headache relief.

The company that makes it doesn't have an android version

I wish this show would cover more true crime type topics.

Keith and his timeslots. You're gonna get paranormal forever here. Don't know why, Keith says "same great guests" but previous Guests weren't all whackos.

True crime, strange history, interviews with Warren Ellis and Alan Moore, there's a lot of non-paranormal stuff on my wish list.

I've sent several guest/topic suggestion e-mails to Heather before and after Art left. She neither got back nor booked the guests.

trostol

hows the show?

trying to watch parks and recreation...so far seems very hit or miss

Maybe you should send them to a non paranormal host. Or maybe Bateman.

I just think it would be a great change of pace. I figure it could be a pain in the ass but if she could put together a 4 day show with different guests showing different sides of a crime. Similar to what Serial did. It wouldn't have to be a crime. It could be something paranormal. One day a skeptic next day a believer and so on.

How is the show tonight?
I can't stop watching the strangeness on battlecam.

Yeah, it does feel like Art had a ton in saying what guests he interviewed.

Mind you, dreams and lucid dreaming were one of Art's favorite topics, so maybe he still does.

trostol

has she had a scientist on since she took over?

Oh, I completely agree with you. It just seemed like the guest range became more rigid when AB left.

Charles Ostman is the closest I can think of. Lots of other people with paper mill PhDs.

Probably having a little more trouble booking guests without Art

I did suggest to Bateman that he do a show on the Texas biker gang shootout from last summer, but he never got around to it.
