Apparently Ms. Wade nearly died from something related to her large intestine.  I'm thinking either diverticulitis (which nearly killed a friend of mine a few yrs. ago), or strangul'n as a result of, for instance, intussusception.  Probably not appendicitis or she'd've said that.

Maybe a benwa ball got lost up there and went septic.

::)

Maybe she ate really hot peppers and then went MTA.

::)

Maybe she ate some tinsel (after being encouraged by her pussy) and it got all tangled up in her intesties

::)

cosmic hobo

Probably be able to unsticky this thread in a week.

Thunder Strikes did talk about shadow people but if memory serves, a few weeks prior Art put out the word that he was looking for someone to talk to about shadow people. It was during another show that same year that that subject got brought up. But I can't remember.

Here a link about one of the first mentions of Shadow People on Art's show on 5/31/2001.  Art interviews Dr Morgan Spence who has been researching Shadow People for the last 11 years.

So there is ZERO subsequent information about Morgan Spence.

I'm guessing I'm not the first person to point out that: 1) the university where she got her doctorate from (International Research Academy) does not exist; 2) the website they cite doesn't exist; 3) her book's co-author (C.A. Reed/Reid) doesn't exist.

That, and she was born and lives in Seattle (or whatever) and has a erudite British accent.

Holy christ, listened to the Hollis episode over the weekend...wondered if her show was just as cracked out - took a listen to a few, sho'nuff they are.

Has Chris Carter settled on a date for his re-scheduled appearance yet? I'd like to know his sinful pleasure, if possible, and he's blocked me on twitter.

 I finally listened to the LMH episode. I enjoyed it but it left me with one lingering question… After all these years are doing radio broadcasts she hasn't bothered to figure out how to use Skype? I can't imagine sitting on the telephone for three hours.  MITD... We care a lot about how good our callers sound.... But our guests… They're on their own  Lol.

TigerLily

Nick Redfern tonight. I'm always up for him. Although he's everywhere, these days.  But chupcabras? I thought we all knew by now they are just poor mange riddled coyotes

Geez. I wonder why anyone would block you. Must be a mistake.

Just listened to my first Heather Wade episode. The sinful pleasures one. I'm a recent TIME TRAVELER, mostly for the archives and out of hope for Art's return, but wow. Sinful pleasures. Topic aside, I guess I didn't really think Heather was too bad, but like a lot of people have said, she's got the hardest job in the world: following Art Bell. Is there any Heather Wade episode that you guys have liked, or would recommend? Also-- is there any episode where Art introduces us to Heather as a host or guest host?

Actually I thought that show was not a very good one because of the callers. She has had some pretty decent shows lately. I didn't like Heidi Hollis though either.

I have nothing against Heather but fwiw the Linda Moulton Howe show was one of Heather's best shows.
Linda was on autopilot as usual ,which is fine, and Heather could hardly get a word in edgewise.
This format seemed to suit each other well.
When Heather did question/comment it was good.
Just my opinion

I thought the ones on 1/11 and 1/12 with Bill Birnes and Charles Ostman were good.

Was under the impression she was invested here, like she was a longtime Bellgabber and came from the audience. Kind of like that kick ass PC game modder who gets plucked from the community for the real gig.

I think the Chupacabras in Texas are really stray Xoxo dogs. The real Chupacabras are from Puerto Rico and seem to be some type of hybrid creature.

Mexican ones:

I thought so too, and the LMH show...but now she's sliding back into these monster of the day shows...yawn...just my opinion.

I've admittedly been a Heather detractor (because I genuinely don't care for her style), but you gotta give credit where credit is due.

She gets props for two things: Her giving the axe to Heidi Hollis and her calling in to GabCast and taking her lumps.  This can't end in a net gain for her, but she has stones for showing up.

Bellathor

Is she broadcasting underwater or something?

Why doesn't the guest mute their mic during the open? It's so awful and has happened since she took over the show.
