It would seem that Heather's unhealthy obsession with Art has now turned to his children.  I really hope Airyn
considers that move to Maui or where ever.   A new, fresh start is not always a bad thing.

That could well be the case.  American popular culture being something of a mystery to me, I will take your word for it. 

For those outside the US, perhaps a comparison to Heart of Darkness might be in order?  KR could play Marlow, sent to retrieve Heather (Kurtz, obviously).  Only, as the boat goes downriver, the more ridiculous things get rather than violent.

I'm picturing the hostile natives being replaced with HW fans and the spears done away with in favour of seltzer bottles (Paul and Ella might injure themselves with spears).  Marlow would first encounter Kurtz "firedancing" in a protective spell ritual whilst sporting a poodle hairdo.

It's true that the madness of HoD would need to be somewhat tempered by absurdity so as to better fit Heather and her doings, but not by much.

Mindless, soulless, gutless (loved the blazingly obvious prescreened "unscreened" calls  :), that programme was a veritable RealDollâ,,¢ of radio.  Heather had an entire month to make up "Me 'n Art" tales and the best she could do was the "two cigarettes" story?  Really?  I have no reason whatever to believe Heather could be trusted to count that high.

If there was anything for Heather's hapless fans to live upon in that broadcast, you'll have to tell me what it was; the constant stream drops quickly became an unlooked-for blessing.  Paul and Ella have an appointment with their lawyer first thing this morning to have Heather written out of their will.

Apparently you are clueless or being obtuse about what the word "state" means in a broader context, with which it was presented. Even when you were given further context upon which to draw from. Sadly pedantry seems necessary to compensate for others illiteracy.

Notice the lack of words: government programs , welfare, or taxpayers? There was a reason for that, it wasn't accidental. The "state" within context was shorthand for other locals sharing his children's financial burdens. The church, extended members of family, et al, are all members of said territory or "state". Which I further tried to define for you what was meant by the word state. As apposed to what you persistently assumed was meant the word state. If I wanted to say they were on welfare, government programs, or leeching from taxpayers, that is exactly what I would have typed.

Ultimately you or I can't prove or disprove Daves family welfare status, or use of any other government programs. So your white knighting is silly at best, belligerent at worst. Where Dave generates around $100,000.00 a year just to support 11 children, will remain a mystery if he doesn't earn a lot of money yearly.
