mornin.

Good morning! I can't deny those bacon strips do look tasty!

I used to get up early in the mornings when visiting my grandmother because she'd fry a pound a bacon and we'd sit and eat it together  ;D Good times.
Nowadays I don't eat bacon. Just a personal preference after seeing how awful some of these factory farms treat their animals  :-[

you do realize that green and black teas are exactly the same, except green teas are steamed then dried to preserve color and black teas are not?
https://foodwatch.com.au/blog/energy-boosters/item/q-what-s-the-difference-between-green-and-black-tea-what-about-caffeine.html
Yup. But something in the black tea contributes to my kidney stones. Green tea never has bothered me.

I was reading up on licorice tea after you mentioned it http://healthyeating.sfgate.com/benefits-side-effects-licorice-root-tea-5701.html (can't vouch for this article though) and it is said to interfere with some meds. Possible side effect is high blood pressure and that already runs in my family so I may have to avoid it.

Yes I am a tasty Canadian (as Ian Punnett liked to put it) :D
Before I went to bed last night I skimmed over the previous few pages of this thread and folks were talking about Canada. There were a few more Canadian BellGabbers in the mix than I thought. Such as Freyja and comaphobe!  :P
That's a bummer about the tea. Yeah I read the Canadian thing at 2 am. I was up for a bit. I didn't listen though and quickly went back to sleep. You Canadians seem pretty friendly. :)

Rooibos tea is great. Trader Joe's again. Yeah I'm that girl. Sigh. Thai iced tea is one of my favs. I am still a day behind in shows with Good Dave. OMG how did you guys listen to Adiar? Wow I was so bored. Good Dave helped but even he can't save that interview. Not a Joshua fan but still liked the show. I am going to resubscribe to Higherside Chats today and I also enjoy Illuminati Watcher podcast. I like conspiracy as well as the occult.
I love Trader Joe’s. When I moved to Ohio from Los Angeles, I was thrilled to find out I’d get to keep shopping there. They’ve opened several here, thank God!

Yes we have a ton in Michigan near Detroit. I have one that is 10 minutes from work and I usually shop on my lunch hour. And I'm sure you've noticed this has become like the catch all thread. I love that the board is so active again. I'm enjoying last night's show finally. I really like Good Dave.

I think most people take kidney function for granted until it starts to go wrong in you. Cranberry juice is always mentioned but lots of water is important too.

Can you imagine what it was like in the days they used to cut the stone out without anaesthetic?

I like that,  "Fringe Talk Radio"   :)

I'd rather not imagine. Ironically I loathe cranberry juice but have learned to deal with it.

Only if you stay on our good side  ;) Have you ever been across the border?

Enjoy your tea and the rest of your morning. I got to tidy up a bit. Expecting company for lunch.
Hope the buggers like my turkey soup  ;D I made it in this thingy I recently picked up https://www.walmart.com/ip/Instant-Pot-LUX60-V3-6-Qt-6-in-1-Multi-Use-Programmable-Pressure-Cooker-Slow-Cooker-Rice-Cooker-Saut-Steamer-and-Warmer/54316362
and I have been finding it very useful for veggies and rice.

I don't eat it either, because for reasons unknown, it isn't sold in California. >:(

I was told that the pain equivalent to men enduring childbirth is passing a kidney stone.  :-\

Someone should study cycles in music composition and performance. Like why the great composers all lived around the same time and why all the great rock was created in the 60’s and 70’s.  How many centuries do we have to wait before the next renaissance?

No day is complete in a house full of cats (or dogs, frankly) w/out having to clean up some type of bodily emission. My 18 yr old cat is the worst culprit, and always has been. But before my pooch died, she had serious health issues that meant peeing in large quantities.. and often in the house, as she couldn't always make it out side.  :-X  My small dog I just have to keep sending outside every couple of hours, just in case.  She's old, blind, etc..  SMH.

At the end of the school year, before high school, they really need to get out of the place. Heather alone, failing to answer the question about if she was having an affair with AB is enough.

You really live for the gossip-hate, don't you?

QuoteThe innuendo and crash and burn that Heather is/was will have an affect on Asia because kids (even teens) don't have the finely developed filters, plus kids can be vicious.

Oh yes they can, albeit one expects as much from them as they're not fully grown.

Now please explain your vicious personal attacks in some kind of plausible context.

QuotePahrump is a fishbowl.  Poop gets around.

And you've spread more then enough rumor here to feed that flame for a good long while.

I lost my older kitty last year at Thanksgiving. She has just turned 18. I have just my two now and that is how it is going to stay unless I lose one of them. They are litter mates and have only been separated twice in their whole lifetime (they are now 8 years old). They adore each other. And it's weird everyday when I come home from work they greet me at the door like dogs would. I know there are people that don't like animals but the bond I have with mine has really gotten me through some dark times. It's awesome you have such love for yours too.

In Az, we get ours from a very large aquifer and have emergency storage for the cities via the Central Arizona Project...we produce all our own needs...it's actually California that would be totally F'd.

Which very large aquifer do you refer to?

[url]https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/arizona/2014/08/11/arizona-water-supply-drought/13883605//url]

Not everything comes from the Colorado â€" about half of the water supply for metro Phoenix comes from Roosevelt Lake and the Salt and Verde rivers, right? Well, things aren't much better there. Roosevelt, the largest in-state reservoir, is just 39 percent full. Together, the six reservoirs on the Salt and Verde are at 49 percent of capacity. (By the way, Flagstaff gets a significant share of its water from Lake Mary â€" it's shrinking, too, with no change in sight.) All of this means Salt River Project, which manages the system and delivers water to farmers and Valley cities, will likely start to pump more groundwater instead, as will farmers in central Arizona. And you can probably see where this is going ...

QuoteI'm not sure about Nevada...I think Lake Mead is their only viable option...which is the Colorado River...we knew decades ago we could not rely on that.

Las Vegas has already drilled bores into the very bottom of Lake Mead, a greater concern is what happens when the turbines at Hoover Dam stop spinning.

A water crisis and power brown out, yes Cali. is in a fine mess.
