You have to call in, Starr, and give a snow report from Starr Mountain. Also, you must tell the East Coasters what time 2000 is, because math. A harsh-mellow.
Ok.  20:00 - 2:00 = 18:00 - 10:00 = 8:00.  K?  ;D

Great show tonight guys. I really liked the format you went with. I also like how you ended the show with talking about The X-Files. I really think you guys should do some more discussing of tv and movies.

I think this was the best show so far. Dissecting the first few appearances of Ed Dames and his predictions was a great idea. The clip of the listeners fax you played at the beginning of the show is one of my favourite stories on Art's show. I haven't heard that in years so thanks for playing it. I really hope that you find gems like that to play as segments on your show. I'll keep an ear out as listen to my collection and let you know if I come across anything like that.

I agree with the above poster that you should also talk about genre TV shows. I enjoyed the segment about the xfiles at the end.

Sounds like a great show. Damn shame it was on way too early for us in the UK.  When will this be posted? I demand it now! :D

Thank you to whoever it was that recommended this show (and batemans) to me. I have a love/hate relationship with Dames. I used to switch off whenever I heard him until I realized that it was more fun listening to him with 20/20 hindsight so that I could laugh at how wrong he was with his ridiculous predictions. Art should have tossed him off the air after the millennium considering he couldn't predict anything before that.

I love when you dig out snippet of old Art Bell shows and play them.  Takes me back to happier days.

I agree.  I never could figure out why Art gave Dames such creedance.  It was obvious to me nearly from the start that Dames was a charlatan.  However, he talked a good tale.

I think you have me confused with Jazz. We are from the same country but I live in the better city.

I do happen to agree with you though. Playing the snippets from classic shows and commenting on them is a great idea and a fantastic way to relive the glory days of a show we all love.

I believe that Art would bring Dames back each time because the audience loved to hate him as some one mentioned above. Art once mentioned that every time he announced that Dames would be on he would get double or triple the amount of emails with people hating on Dames. I guess it's the Howard Stern effect of more people who hate him listening to hear what he'll predict next. Dames was good for business.

Yes, I suppose the listener numbers were always up when Dames was on.  He did have a good way with spinning a tale that was somewhat entertaining, but it was more akin to storytelling time than anything actually approaching something that happened or would.

Thank you for your kind words sirs and madames. themudking will have the episode uploaded shortly. Hopefully I don't have to threaten to sue this time.

I enjoyed the format we used tonight. It was what I always envisioned the show to be but it is not always possible to do with every topic. There is a lot of prep work for it and you must remember that this is a hobby and I have a full time job and family.

Now off to listen to six hours of JC.

I just remembered... Wasn't there a Jaz imposter who called Art from Australia and went by "Dave?"

That wasn't me. I didn't call into Art's show on MITD or Dark Matter. I called in on the International Line in the late nineties and relayed to Art a tale about a disembodied pair of boots I saw walking in an old house I was cleaning when I was a teenager working with my grandpa.

Roswells, Art

I have to admit I was leery of listening to The Bell Philes because I was afraid it would detract from my Art Bell show listening experience. This last episode was my first and I'm happy to say I really liked it. Listening to two people that seem to love Art as much as I converse intelligently about my favorite show is heavenly. Heh, I'm a dork.

I had to turn it way down when the subject turned to The X-Files. I didn't want any spoilers. So I missed that part.

Thank you Mudking and Jazmunda

If you don't tell anyone, I will agree with you this time. They do a great job.

Another great show you guys. The format you used to dissect the first two appearances by Dames was a winner. Dames shows are best reviewed after the fact. You really get a sense of what a piece of shit Remote Viewing is based on the fact that they never get a thing right. The fact that Dames chose the Ukraine as his safe haven explains everything.

That's not a fact. It's a claim.

Given what happened there after he moved, it seems clear that he was simply ordered to go there.

Those of you who blithely bought that line about him being "retired" from military and/or clandestine service are adorable. As if.

I'm sure Dames' Napoleon Complex compels him to believe that.

Okay, well, now it's a fact that you've claimed that. Do try to keep up.
